My very tired girlfriend and I arrived at the Holiday Inn Express late on Saturday. We were greeted by incredibly friendly staff who even gave us a room upgrade upon seeing our dishevelment.

The room itself was quite nice. The king size bed was so comfy that I felt like a king! It is a very quiet hotel in a beautiful part of the state.

The breakfast is pretty basic, but at least it is free. It was an expensive place, so I wouldn’t recommend an extended stay as this hotel is a bit away from the area’s top attractions. There isn’t much to do in the immediate vicinity. Nonetheless this was a great place to crash for a night!

We spent two nights here during a snowy period. The hotel is conveniently located. Staff are helpful. The room was clean and had all the basics. We opted for the slightly larger room that has a kitchen area and were surprised to find a full-size fridge. This upgrade was worth it to have more space for two adults and two kids, especially with eating breakfast in the room. Breakfast was good, with the usual warm and cold options. Jamie and Christine were very friendly and professional as the breakfast servers. The pool and hot tub were a highlight. Both were very clean with crystal clear water. The hot tub was larger than most budget hotels have. There were times when we had the pool to ourselves. The only negative I can think of is the ease with which sound travels between rooms, but that's typical for budget hotels. Ear plugs may help with that and with fridge and room heating/cooling unit noise.

We managed to be in Sequim in the off season (early January) and found this to be a great place to stay. The location is the first stop off the 101, very easy to find and has a great Black Bear Diner restaurant next door. The hotel seems to be very well maintained and even has a rooftop garden area for enjoying a warm evening. The pool is in great shape and even has available some small life jackets for the little ones. We were greeted by friendly staff at every turn and will definitely not hesitate to stay here again. Great place in a great area.

We stayed for 4 nights in August. First of all: Kudos to the staff for all wearing masks during this whole Covid thing. They were all very helpful, friendly, and were just all-around great people. Housekeeping was great too. We used the option of checking off services we needed (coffee refills, toilet paper, garbage takeaway, etc.) on the sheets from the front desk, and getting them left outside our door. It worked great and we didn't have anyone coming in the room. We had asked for a top floor room due to noise issues, but ended up on the 2nd floor (room 223). I definitely understand you can't always get your choice of where your room is and it might not have been so bad if we weren't right next to the roof top AC units. Every time they came on, the noise woke me up - and we even had the room fan on and our white noise machines blaring. So after not being able to move due to a full house, we devised a workaround. We kept the fan on all the time but turned the AC on at very low temp to cool the room by the time we went to bed, and then turned it on very high when we went to bed so it wouldn't come on during the night. It stayed cool in the room and didn't turn off and on, and we were able to sleep. That is until the third night when people moved in above us who let their kids run back and forth until 10-11 at night. That made it difficult, but we just dealt with it. Next time I would definitely ask to be placed somewhere other than by the AC units on the second floor. The room was clean (again, kudos to housekeeping!) but somewhat tired. Brought breakfast up to our room and ate, which worked fine. Overall, this is a basic Holiday Inn Express with the added bonus of having wonderful staff and very clean rooms. We might stay here again if we're on the way through, but wouldn't go out of our way.

Hi AKTraveler50, Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for posting a candid review. I was very concerned to read your comments regarding room comfort, noise, and the air conditioning. I understand your dismay and I am sorry. This is not the frictionless experience that we wanted for all our guests. I will make sure to share your comments with our team for the necessary improvements needed on our end. I appreciate you as our guest and I still hope you would give us another chance in the future. Be warned that you have to make a reservation for the pool... Which they fail to tell you on their website, when you make your reservation and when you’re checking in. Not to mention it’s not posted anywhere in the hotel. As one of the only hotels in the area with a pool, you’d think that’s information they would provide you with. I paid $400 for two nights for a weekend getaway so my kids could enjoy the pool and we can’t even go to the pool at all because there were no reservations available. Now I’m stuck in an over priced mediocre hotel room with bored kids. If you don’t care about the pool you can go to 7 cedars and pay the same price for a WAY nicer hotel. If you do care about the pool go to Silverdale. This place is absolutely not worth it. Do better Holiday Inn.

Our favorite part about this hotel was the outdoor rooftop area. There were several outdoor tables and you were welcome to bring your own food and drink up there. We also enjoyed the breakfast and the hospitality of the ladies serving the food.
The only negative about this place was the strong odor of marijuana being covered up with air freshener in our room. There wasn’t any other rooms available or else we would’ve requested a new one.

Comfortable beds, clean room and plenty of space for our family of four in the two queen suite. They do a good job with breakfast. They are serving a full breakfast with eggs, French toast, biscuits and gravy, etc.

We spent one night here on our northwest coastal vacation. We had a 2 queen suite which gave us extra room for our toddler bed.
Overall this hotel is what you would expect and want in an HIE hotel. Some spots we felt this hotel shined are breakfast and the pool. The breakfast is still under Covid restrictions and thus you can order the buffet items from the staff who were awesome. Very friendly and accommodating of children. Ours can be a bit much to handle and they even gave our youngest a toy to help him through the time we were eating. Food was quite good as well.
The pool area is inside and has a hot tub, which always gets a thumbs up from dad. There was a basketball hoop set up at one end of the pool which our oldest boy really loved.
My only complaint, if it could be called that, is that there were no key card entrances on the back or sides of the building. It made unloading and loading a little more time consuming but not something that was a big issue.
If by chance we are back this way again we will look to stay here.

We haven't been out much due to COVID but we spent one night here this past weekend. The staff was really friendly and helpful and all wearing their masks. The breakfast was yummy and plentiful and they really put a lot of effort into keeping that as safe as possible. The pool was fun to jump into and the garden on the fourth floor was pretty and peaceful. The rooms were clean and nice. The elevator was a little jerky but it worked (if you're looking for something to improve on). All in all, it was a really nice experience.

I always stay with holiday inn when possible so when I saw there was in sequim, I didn’t even look at other places to say. The hotel is newish, small reception area and breakfast room as you walk in. The staff on duty when I arrived were friendly and took time to answer my questions. The room was ok, just not very bright, bathroom needed a little update, the calling was cracked and just didn’t feel fresh. The internet is quick and reliable. There is a Tesla charging station on site so feel free to bring your Tesla and explore :). I would stay here again.
