We stayed at this hotel prior to a planned cruise to Alaska. The morning of our departure one of our traveling companions had a heart attack! His wife was stuck here in Seattle for weeks, while her husband had surgery and recovered, knowing no one but her four friends who had to go home after one week. This hotel is amazing. Their manager and staff, from the front desk to room service, took our friend under their wing and did all they could to help the situation! I cannot stress enough how great this hotel is. Their food, service, and home atmosphere is amazing!
What made this hotel rate the highest possible score I can give is the staff. Victor at reception was friendly, professional and welcoming. He was able to accommodate my request for a room with a bathtub but wasn't able to place me on the top floor. But still, I felt respected and well cared for at check in. My room was huge and clean and had a nice view. I found the motorized shade very easy to operate. I don't like Keurig coffee makers but I've lost that battle. Most hotels use them now unfortunately. The refrigerator was nice and quiet. The chef in the restaurant made me chicken and rice soup even though it wasn't on the menu any more!! He saw my look of disappointment and made some specially for me. The waitress was also friendly and gave very good service. I wish they could clone these wonderful people and have them at all hotels. The walls are too thin...only improvement on the Garden Inn in my opinion. …
Stayed 1 night before our flight home in May. We had about a 20 minute wait for the complimentary shuttle after dropping our rental car off. Check in was quick, Maura was very polite, professional, and gave us a lot of information. The room was large, even though we were close to the airport there was no noise. There is an on-site restaurant which we didn't try but it looked like there was a lot of choices on the menu. They also have a nice outside patio although it was too cold for us to take advantage of it. Highly recommend
The hotel shuttle to and from the airport is great, the hotel staff is the best and the hotel is just new, modern, comfortable and clean as can be. We love staying at this hotel when we are passing through Seattle as we travel.
The staff were friendly and helpful. However, the room seemed strange. The lighting in the bathroom was excellent but the lighting in the room was really poor. There was no lamp where a person could really sit down and read. There were a couple of small lights on both sides of the bed plus another mall floor lamp and a two small lamps near a kind of work station. There was also a heavy sliding door for the bathroom which didn't work very well which seemed rather strange.
We travel to Seattle to see family a lot. We have stayed at a lot of hotels near the airport - - and this one was the best! Not too big - - super fresh and clean and relatively new. Nice staff and awesome window shades.
I proceeded to check out at the front desk promptly just before 11:00 (no 12:00 check out here) and asked Desk Clerk Juan (who apparently has never dealt with grown folks before and informed me at 8:02 that the pool opens at 9:00 when all posted signs say 8:00) for a split receipt. Desk Clerk Juan (who was working alone during the height of the check out hour) had apparently never did this before so I had to not only repeat myself but take the time to walk him through exactly what I needed as it was guaranteed and discussed the “a” (meaning one of many) General Manager Miguel during my check in. Still looking confused all he had for a come back was “I can only split and put it on one receipt.” So I said “Alright”. After standing in front of Desk Clerk Juan for five minutes while he silently acted to work out a spilt receipt, I decided to help myself to a seat 10 feet away in the lobby. I watched Desk Cletk Juan proceed to answer phone calls, help other customers, converse with General Manager Miguel (who conveniently showed up after the check out hour) and yawn like he was bored with no acknowledgement of a paying customer sitting before him. My patience ended after 15 minutes when I seen Desk Clerk Juan do everything but help out a Hilton Honors member. I had to step up and ask General Manager Miguel if he could assist me during which time Desk Clerk Juan decided to interject. Desk Clerk Juan was ignored as General Manager Miguel was helpful and courtesy but apparently is unable to train his crew to possess the same standards. This was the weirdest experience I have ever had at a hotel front desk. Just be aware before you check in with minor but challenging specifics that you are guaranteed to have someone competent, courteous and professional there on the check out end. My patience with the working youth of SeaTac cost me 30 minutes of my day that I’ll never get back. Although General Manager Miguel refunded the $15 parking fee (yes, you have to pay to park here) and the $4.95 internet fee (the guest connection is too weak) what he was actually doing was paying for his lack of training and his team’s incompetence and rudeness, this costing the company in the long run. I’m beginning to understand with the younger generation that they have to be coddled and (with superior politeness) walked through exactly what you are asking for due to their lack of being a trained professional of customer service. Booked here at the last minute due to a canceled flight. Price was great, hotel was very nice, and breakfast was taste and affordable. Check in with the Hilton App was super easy. Courtesy buss took a long time, but otherwise I am very satisfied.
Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Rooms were clean. We needed an early morning shuttle (4:30 am) to the airport. The driver was in the lobby waiting for us when we entered lobby at 4:20 am. Driver was very friendly and courteous. We will definitely stay at this hotel any time we fly in or out of SeaTac.
One of the best Hilton properties I’ve stayed at. The staff were very pleasant. The room was very clean. The only really bad experience I’ve had is this two huuuuundted word minimum requirement I’ve had for the review
