The Aloft hotels are always small, but practical and reasonably priced. This hotel is no different- good rooms, handy store, and a relaxing lobby. Staff at the desk are good as well Only issue is the hotel shuttle - waited at the airport for an hour and it didn't show up. I gave up - it doesn't run on a regular schedule but if you need to call to be picked up, this needs to be communicated better. The SFO shuttle was better as it was shared with another hotel but always ran every 15 min, so you knew one would be there soon. If that is sorted, I would stay again.
If there’s an Aloft where we are traveling to, we never hesitate to book with them. The rooms are always clean and accommodating for a quick stay or a few days stay. The premises are always kept up and staff friendly. So reasonable too.
Clean and well kept. Lots of fun stuff to do, games etc. Bar is open and roomy. Very comfortable areas, kind of hip. Bar food, not the greatest, but ok. Right next to the airport. Were able to walk to hotel after dropping off car. Shuttle to airport quick and easy.
A new hotel which is trying to copy the ALT hotel group but this one just doesn’t cut it! Where do I begin? Atrocious check in experience, it’s impossible to hear the staff due to the noise coming directly from the bar! Its dark and dingy. The desk is the size if a postage stamp so when there’s a line up it is quite uncomfortable not to mention completely non-private! Hallways stink of a musty wet carpet smell. Rooms are large enough but ironically have only ONE light switch which turns ALL the lights on! This is just crazy, I got up to use the bathroom in the night and had to use the light on my phone since I didn’t want to wake my room mate. Not to mention shower by phone light in the morning. Whoever thought that was a good idea? By far the worst thing about this hotel is that they have reversed the traffic flow in the car park! Simply madness! Is it even legal to do that??? I had to park in there because there were no spaces outside. All the time worrying someone might run into me on the ‘wrong side’ of the road. Try and explain that to a rental car insurance company!! Do yourself a favour and avoid this hotel, there’s plenty if other better options at SeaTac.…
I like the Aloft brand generally, and this is good version of it. Clean, new, good service at the front desk, bar / restaurant open late enough for a late arriving flight and lots of snacks for sale in the lobby for breakfast. Rooms are large, showers hot, black out curtains and there is a gym. Issue though - the walls are VERY thin. I could hear my neighbours with a small child pretty much all night and day, even what they were saying. painful. Perhaps they need to provide earplugs.....
I am a Marriott Bonvoy member and normal I stay at the Marriott brand (Marriott has 30 brands and almost 8000 properties worldwide) but I never used 'Aloft'. I am impressed. This brand is designed for contemporary business travelers who want space for a social scene at an affordable price. Bingo! They hit the mark. Great spacious bar/lounge/game area. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The staff was very helpful and the parking very secure. Strongly recommended.
We spent a night here on our way to Hawaii and we're pleasantly surprised. The hotel is great, staff excellent and very helpful. The room is kinda small, but very efficient and sufficient. You have everything that's needed there. Bed and the bedding is so comfortable, bath is impeccable . The hotel looks new. Front desk was very friendly and helpful. The airport shuttle was going every 30 min. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and if we ever come to Seattle again, this will be our choice to stay at.
We stayed at A-Loft Sea Tac on Saturday 12/19. We chose this hotel based on need for a 24 hour airport shuttle as I had a 6;00am flight booked to Virginia for Christmas. My husband was with me, and out plan was to wake up early so I could take shuttle and he would drive out truck back home (2 hour distance). When I woke at 1:30am, I looked out the window of our room (327) which over-looked the well-lit, parking area directly in front of the hotel front desk and lobby, the truck was there. After showering and packing, we arrived in the lobby at 2:30am. The shuttle arrived and I boarded as the only passenger. we were not gone 2 minutes when I received a phone call from my distraught husband, that our truck was GONE! The shuttle driver was quick to take me back to the hotel. He made mention of being Security, too When we arrived back at the hotel, the night-audit person was handing my husband an "incident report". As a former Marriott employee, this is standard procedure to absolve themselves of liability. There was no empathy or apology...just a clipboard. We were trying to notify police, the airline, and my family awaiting me in Virginia, and we got a clipboard! No gesture was made at all. It is now 2 days after the incident, and no one, not the General Manager, no one from Marriott, ZERO, has bothered to reach out with so much as an empathetic apology, to check on us, etc. This is a critical loss for us.…
When we were looking for a one night stay prior to a flight out I was drawn to the reasonable price and free parking with a hotel chain (Marriot) I trusted. Those turned out to be the only real positives. From other reviews I knew to ask for a room away from the light rail, but the other issues I found were not mentioned. When we got in the room my wife’s first impression was it looked like a dorm room. The faucet was wobbly and I wasn’t sure it would hold up. There was no place to put any personal items like shampoo or soap in the shower. The facial tissue was like sandpaper. There was a bunch of underutilized space. The so called secure parking that require a room card to enter had one side mostly open that easily could have been accessed by thieves or vandals. Then there was the bathroom area light that also lit up the sleeping area. When one of us used the bathroom in the middle of the night the person sleeping was woken by the light. We tried to find a way to turn it off, but no luck. Overall a wholly unimpressive stay.…
Modern trendy airport hotel that was very convenient for our stay. Close to the airport (<1 Ike), Free shuttle and breakfast included. Checkin cumbersome as we used the Marriott app but it had no effect. Digital key never appeared and we had to checkin with the desk from scratch… not good.
