We stayed here as we had to catch an early morning flight and selected this hotel based on the location and having had good experiences with other Rodeway properties. Unfortunately this hotel was dingy and in poor condition and in dire need of a remodel.
We knew we made a mistake, but had pre-booked. Guy at the reception was surly. You can get better for the same price. Worried about the car in the parking lot. Run down and beyond it’s expiration date.
Traveled to the US for the first time in my life and changed my Hotel last minute t this one. As I arrived I had to pay 100$ deposite, there was no information about it anywhere. The hotel is really really really dirty and only stay here if you have literally no other choice. They couldn't find me in the system first, it was a rainy stormy day and I was really upset, then I saw the room and wanted to cry and just leave instantly. Awful smell, awful bed, awful bathroom, everything was dirty, dark, smelly. Even the shower felt dirty. One of the towels had a long hair that was def not from me. I stayed one night and the only good thing was that the one person at the desk let allowed my boyfriend to stay with me. But honestly, don't go there.
We got a good price and partner reward points. But…. 1 - we made the reservation directly with the property. We asked if we could check in between 11am and noon. No problem. But they never said there is a $20 fee before 2pm. 2 - they have a shuttle to the hotel. We were to call them with our pick-up location. 3B, we said. 15 minutes later, while standing directly under the 3B sign, the driver sped past 3B without so much as a glance in our direction. 3 - when we got to the motel we were informed of the $20 early check-in fee. [motels seem to be picking up airline fee-padding tricks]. We asked for a discount due to lack of transparency and a lousy shuttle service. “Impossible”
I’ve traveled enough to know, when you book a cheap room have very low expectations. I got exactly what I paid for here. I flew in late and decided to stay by the airport. Since it was late, I really just needed a place to sleep. I wouldn’t advise staying here at all, but it worked for what I needed. If I could rewind time, I’d have stayed elsewhere. The fact this place charges 100$ for incidentals as a hold is comical though as the place is a total dump. If you can avoid it, I’d recommend staying elsewhere for sure!
A very dirty hotel with the rudest management I’ve ever encountered An update. Choice hotels did absolutely zero about any of this. Nothing Whatever you’re thinking whatever you’re doing DO NOT STAY HERE. don’t give this pathetic excuse for a hotel or the bad services ⁹When I said I complained to choice hotels the manager said get out tomorrow. We had a emergency because of the riots and this was the only place available at the time. A total dump. The outlets don’t even work. It’s a joke a bad one. A filthy, dark dismal place where you’re lucky to get new towels. And of course choice hotels didn’t care at all. They dismissed my complaint because we were still checked in. The keycards never work. The garbage is piled up next to a broken ice machine. I really can’t give this place a bad enough reviewh…
Not clean. There was trash from previous guests under the bed. The room was smelling terrible, like body odor. It was coming from the AC. Luckily I had some disinfectant and sprayed that over the filter which seemed to remedy the problem. Bad shower pressure. The tub was nice and large, and metal which meant the curtain magnets were actually useful. But just as much water was coming out of the spicket as was the shower head. There were plenty of unsavory characters out in the parking lot. Next time I will spend a little more and stay somewhere less crack-house-ish.
so the TV was stuck on one channel. The guy at the front desk came in to try and fix it. When he found out he couldn't fix it he basically mumbled sorry I can't fix it and practically ran out of our room. I asked him if we could be compensated or have a different room with a working TV and hes like "We'll see" and then left. At the very least he could've offered me something considering we could've stayed at 4 other hotels in the area at that price, that probably had working TV's. I wouldn't even have minded had he handled it better and didn't scurry out of the room because he didn't want to deal with us. Awful customer service, will not recommend this place and will be sharing my experience there with everyone.
Just needed a couple of nights while finishing up work in the area and this worked perfectly. Look this place isnt somewhere you would want to stay if going to be holed up for more than a week (which is very common for me) but it worked out just fine for the two nights I needed it. It is a low budget motel, located practically next to the airport , convenient to freeway and plenty of places to eat. I paid 50.00 a night using the Choice Hotels website, but might have been able to get it even less with one of those booking sites. I was put in room 304, which did indeed have the number written on the door as mentioned in a previous review, however the claims from that person were misleading. The room was clean, compared to what I expected, especially for a smokers room. Additionally I would expect smelly or moldy, as referenced in someone elses review of this room, but it was fresh and clean enough. The bed was comfy, although just a double size bed. Water pressure temp were fine. Although the decor is quite outdated I am in a motel to sleep, not be impressed with appearances. The television is quite old, not the flat screen type. There is a large working table, adequate lighting and the heating/air unit did it's job quite well. Microwave was clean as was the minifridge. The floor could use a good cleaning. At most budget motels like this you expect to find loud parties going on, and seedy characters, but this was not the case. A bit discerning was the door jam had obviously been busted in at some point, and had been repaired. The furniture is old and worn, but comfortable enough. It was extremely quiet, other than the planes from Sea Tac, . and I felt safe coming and going. Draw backs were that there are no elevators, and I was on the 3rd floor. Carrying large suitcases can be a pain, but parking in the back put me on the 2nd level entrance so I only had to walk up one flight. There is no coffee maker in the room, but coffee and tea available 24 hours at the front desk. No iron or board in the room either, and not sure if you can get one from the front desk. Internet was intermittent at best. Many cable channels to choose from. No breakfast other than cereal, juice, a pancake maker and toast. Singh was at the front desk the three times I needed to check in, check out and ask questions. He was professional, friendly and helpful in giving directions when asked. Parking is free, which is a nice change since so many other hotels in the area charge upward of $30. for their guests to park in addition to the nightly charges. Look, frankly this is a very budget friendly. I slept comfortably, felt safe and would confidently recommend this motel for a no frills stay at a cheap price. Even the local hostels are charging more. I am providing photos.…
Free shuttle, ok breakfast, some wear and tear but very worth the price...one of the closest hotels to the airport. Ecards dont work ver well to open the doors, takes 4-6 swipes, even for housekeeping. !/2 block off the main drag so no road noise!
