We had booked one night at the Sleep Inn back in November for a stay on March 8th, a property we had stayed at numerous times in the past. I confirmed the reservation by email the end of February, they sent be another confirmation email on March 3rd. On March 6th I happened to check my emails (we were on vacation after all...) and found a similar confirmation email from a Comfort Inn. Since I hadn't made any such reservation there, I called that hotel. The person who answered was extremely rude, claimed the connection was 'bad' and hung up on me. So I then called the Sleep Inn...the very same person answered there, rudely told me the Sleep Inn was closed, offered no explanation as to why my reservation was transferred without permission, complained that the connection was bad and again hung up on me. I had to call Choice Hotels reservations, they had no idea what was going on but they cancelled the Sleep Inn reservation as well as the one at the Comfort Inn as there was no way we'd be staying there after being treated this way. Choice Hotels reservation desk people were very courteous and professional in helping me. Now reading the reviews posted here I see that this has happened before to others. Clearly deceptive. If the Sleep Inn had to 'close' for some reason they should have contacted me and offered the Comfort Inn as an alternative. They didn't. Extremely poor customer service, BOTH establishments will never get my business in the future. I'm also making sure that Choice Hotels are aware of the crappy service offered in these properties.…
No longer a hotel instead a shelter , but they are still listed as a hotel. Had a reservation for Jan 22, good thing I called to verify otherwise I would have being SOL. The lady I spoke with said they have converted to a shelter a while now . Annoying for sure
Good value. Good beds. The heat is difficult to control and outdated but serviceable. free shuttle that goes to some restaurants if time. Pre covid breakfast good but now almost non-existent ............................
With family members in different states, we find ourselves traveling often. Parking garages can be very expensive. Our flight was going out very early so we decided it would be easier to spend the night close to the airport (we live an hour away). To our surprise, this hotel allows you to leave your vehicle in the secured garage if you stay at least one night! Plus a shuttle to take you to the airport. The room was comfortable. Because of the Covid-19 virus, the breakfast was unavailable but that was okay. We will definitely be doing this again.
I took the light rail from SEA Airport to Angle Lake station and then walked about te minutes from the station south to the Sleep Inn, where I had made a reservation. When I arrived, there was a sign on the door saying they were closed and that all reservations had been transferred to a Comfort Inn, which they said was nearby but which in fact was the other side of Angle Lake station, a long walk from the Sleep Inn. Fortunately a guard offered to drive me to the Comfort Inn, which is the reason I gave anything but the lowest rating. I had gotten no notification of this, and in fact had gotten an e-mail from the Sleep Inn just a couple days earlier confirming my stay and saying "We're looking forward to seeing you". While I understand changes can happen (particularly in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic), it's inexcusable that they didn't notify customers with reservations of the change. If I'd gotten an e-mail or text, I wouldn't have bothered making the pointless walk to the Sleep Inn. Unfortunately I got neither of those. Because of that lack of sensitivity toward guests, I will definitely not be staying here the next time I'm in the Seattle area.…
Years ago I stayed with daughters and enjoyed all the usual treats ... breakfast, clean, parking. So I returned with a reservation made by my daughter for me, cost about 120 dollars for a single.and held car for a week. So not expecting a problem, with no reservation (late summer of 2019), I asked for a room at the desk; told yes available for 270 dollars. When I showed the woman at the desk my prior reservation and modest cost, she said sorry, not possible. No manager was available. I found this arbitrary and so this warning.
This is the other one of my go-to to starhotels when I'm getting ready to fly out to a different part of the world from Seattle. Fantastically comfortable beds and slightly tight rooms what decent furnishings. The only small complaint that might have is the furnaces are a little dated and difficult to control the temperature on. I usually choose this place over others because they serve biscuits and gravy every morning unfortunately, no hot eggs. That's okay because IHOP is in the same parking lot
We had a family bucket list Alaska trip. Due to COVID-19 the ports are closed and trip was cancelled by RCCL who rightfully also refunded the trip. We were arriving early staying at the Hilton they understood refund in full DVD already. Now on the way back we planned to stay the extra day in Seattle with a 10pm flight back home. We reserved & prepaid for a night at the Sleep in via Booking.com. We had no real intentions of spending the night. Is was just a place to rest since we had a late flight out if Seatac & really close to the airport. I am also a member of Choice Hotels for a while now. I called Choice Hotels & due to COVID they are allowing changes & cancelations up to 24 hrs of travel up to 6/30 including prepaid & non callable without charge.****HOWEVER**** they were not able to offer me a refund since I booked via Booking.com. I called Booking.com whom told me my travel date was still too early I should contact the property. They did offer to email then immediately sent me an email stating I had a non refundable rate & if I sold Sleep I had the right to keep the funds $$. ********LESSON HERE DO NOT USE THIRD PARTYS BOOKING*********SPECIFICALLY BECAUSE I USED BOOKING.COM I GET NO REFUND **********should I have booked with the hotel chain directly they clearly expressed no issue with the refund. ☹;…
Bathroom infested with ants, wake up call never came, said breakfast at 5, we had 5:30 shuttle but because it was Saturday, no breakfast till 6. Front desk person said she was property manager but didn't offer to unlock fridge in dining area so we could even get a yogurt. Thanked us for reporting and bringing some ants in a plastic bag for her. But she said "I can't give you any credit because you booked through Priceline. I asked for receipt, she said your balance zero so I can't. 5:30 shuttle they said would take 10 min. Well, it was about 10 to another hotel they owned and then we waited over 10 min there for the family we picked up there. I went through multiple customer support levels in Priceline and their final answer was they couldn't do anything either.
I arrived at 11:30pm. There was absolutely NO parking in the hotel lot. I tell the clerk. She says to me, you should get up early and move your car because they will tow you. How is that a sleep in!! She said people will be leaving early so you can take their parking spot. I checked in and was given a room. I go to the room, the key opens the door and the lights are on. The TV is on. The room smells like marijuana. And there is a piece of clothing by the door, so thank goodness i couldn't open it all the way. I go back to the clerk, with all of my luggage and she says. It says there is no one in it. She gives me another room. I woke up around 6:50a took a shower, pack and just as i am ready to leave i get a call from the front front desk telling me they are starting to tow cars. lololol! What kind of hotel advertises that they have free parking and then pulls like kind of crap? I went outside and told the guy towing that i was planning on going to the Ihop for breakfast. He said, just take your sticker out of your car. I DO NOT recommend staying here unless, you have a very early flight ie, before 7am. The bed was good. The walls were on the thin side. The shower was a stahl. The heat was one of those radiator types that makes sound as long as it is on. So sleep is not a priority for this hotel. If you want to sleep and feel rested for the rest of your trip, stay somewhere else.…
