After arriving at the wrong Motel 6 after an accident on the freeway, the receptionist here was able to book us two rooms. BUT We did not stay the night. In fact, we canceled within the first 10-20 mins. It was horrible. Even though we requested non smoking rooms, the entire way up there it smelled! The smell, the ambiance, the people standing around was not suitable for families. The surroundings was not safe even to get to our own room. We were able to get our refund, fix our flat tire, and leave to another motel 6. Do not recommend. Especially at night.
The reception clerk was very cordial and helpful. Convenient location right off of I-5. A few fast few restaurants were about 5 miles up the road. We stayed here because the price was right and because all the other hotels and motels in the Olympia/Tacoma/Seattle areas were booked up. The room was simple and not so clean. The floor needed a good mopping and the walls were thin. It was okay to spend the night while driving through but I wouldn’t stay more than one night.
We rented 4 rooms total for a large family every single room smelled horrible. The room i was given had red stains all over the bed. This has to be the most disgusting motel I’ve been to. Besides the fact that when we arrived the police was gathered here with flashlights searching for something. I would avoid this place at all costs. I have never felt so compelled to leave a written review but people need to know to avoid this place.
We stayed there on May 1st and honestly out of all the hotels we stayed in during our road trip through Canada, this was the WORST. I will NEVER stay here again no matter how desperate. The only reason we stayed here was their sign advertised $59.99 and after driving for 14 hours from Oregon and beyond exhaustion this seemed like a good deal. I really wished I had taken pictures. So I was disappointed when I discovered that my stay was going to be over $80 but because there were 3 of us and we were all exhausted we decided to purchase the room anyways. The bed had obvious stains on it and cigarette burns on the top blanket. I slept in my clothes that I had just worn all day because I didn’t feel comfortable changing into clean clothes for these beds whose cleanliness was very questionable. When I did decide to take a shower the next morning the towels were extremely thin and also had random stains on them and they only seemed to have 3 “bath towels” for a room that could sleep 4 which was odd but whatever. I also thought it was quite ridiculous that for the price tag the room did not have a fridge, microwave, and did not have any complimentary shampoo/conditioner, just a bar of soap but whatever. I will never stay here EVER again and will definitely more thoroughly plan out my motel/hotel stays for road trips before just randomly jumping into any room. Don’t stay here.…
This motel just off highway 5 is near the highway but noise is not excessive.A mere 14 minutes drive from Seatac Airport. Staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. They have really tried with the pool area with grass area either sides. Clean and very functional. Garage and Subway at entrance drive. Worth going to Des Moines for a seaside trip with its Park on the waters edge and summer music in the park. Waldo's fish restaurant is there and worth a visit. The 200 Road opposite entrance to 5 south has pizza and groceries. We booked one night and stayed on till we left for the UK. Would quite happily use it as a Base for a week. We drove into Seattle Center for a day out from there. Don't think it's too cheap it's good value. We will stay again if we come back. Also takes pets we met a lovely dog called Colin and a Mcaw.We have learned when travelling functionality is so important. Give these motels a go. Val Jones Uk…
