Wish I could give 3.5 stars. 3 seems low, but I really can’t say this was a 4 star experience. First the good: Never heard any noise from the planes at the airport next door or the light rail train. Comfy beds and good water pressure in the shower. Easily walkable to 13 Coins for a lovely delicious meal. Free shuttle to airport, pretty standard for an airport hotel but still appreciated. Standard small fridge and… a microwave, that was a nice surprise. Separate tub/toilet and sink area so potentially 2 people could get ready in the morning at the same time. The not great: Mostly the very run down feel of the entire hotel. Our view was of the green moldy roof, air conditioners and abandon pool at the hotel next door. NO Coffemaker in the room, YES you read that right, fridge and micro but no coffeemaker, weird. Old slow elevators. Only 3 pillows per bed. Workout room was very small but did have a free cold water dispenser. Shower was the largest disappointment, broken, missing shelf for shampoo with only glue left on the shower wall. Poor shower set up that will soak bathroom floor if you aren’t ridiculously careful with the shower curtain. If you only want to sleep here and eat close at a reasonable price point, I would say this is a good solid choice. If you want a workout room or any sort of ambiance of a nice hotel, my suggestion is to look elsewhere.…
Red lion hotel never disappoint.i was at SeaTac for an unexpected and sudden business trip.i decided to give red lion a second try because I was there last year. As always my expectations this time was met. Business went well.room was clean and atmosphere was awesome.kudos red lion. the lady at check in was very helpful. I will like to say shalom to her
My daughter had been traveling for 36 days seeing family, attending a funeral and watching my daughter graduate. On the way back home, we had to make a stop in Seattle before our last flight which was a 13 hr flight. We were exhausted and just wanted to go to bed. When you arrive at a hotel, you never know what kind of customer you'll recieve especially when its late at night but Jacqulyn was absolutely amazing!! She didnt know all that happened on our trip but she just knew I was tired and make sure checkin was quick. I had an issue with one of our room key and when I woke up the next day, she had slipped new room keys under my door! Total on our trip was 13 flights and 5 hotels, Red Lion was the last stay and it was the best regardless of how old fashioned the rooms are, my daughter and I had the best rest!…
When we are in the Seattle area we stay at the Red Lion SeaTac. Each time we have stayed the staff was attentive to our needs. One stay was just after the COVID vaccination came out and most recent stay was the 4th of July 2022. Both stays we have had the staff like Edith, housekeeping, keep our room clean. The front desk with Janet and Lia to welome us back was nice. This is an older hotel but it is clean and secure and so close to the SeaTac airport! I recommend this hotel and I will use it again. All the employees were friendly and courteous which made our stay very pleasant. They were responsive to all our needs.would stay there again. Wish you would reinstall the snack bar which is the grandchildren’s favorite when they come to visit us during our stay.
If you want to step back into 1980’s this is your place. I called and asked if they had air conditioning they said yes. They do NOT have air conditioning. It is called a fan that is so loud if you are a light sleeper you will lose some sleep! Had to keep the window open also. The traffic is also loud so that didn’t help. The windows do not have screens so bugs will fly in. Spend your money elsewhere where it is more updated and have real air conditioning!
I called the Red Lion hotel (Seattle Airport) regarding a $7.64 charge on my credit card even AFTER PREPAYING with PRICELINE. Per the hotel, they said this is a daily service fee charge from PRICELINE. $3.82 per day. According to PRICELINE, there is NO EXTRA daily service fee that they charge.
The staff at the Red Lion are superb - really friendly and accommodating. The location is also really good for the airport - you can literally walk there in 5 minutes, and there’s a shuttle to take you to departures (and from arrivals if needed). They’ll also look after your luggage if needed. The hotel is quite tired - the communal areas need TLC and the lift was nasty (it smelled really bad). That said, the rooms are big, clean and comfortable, although the aircon didn’t work (looked liked the unit was from the 1950s). At least the windows opened to allow some cooler air in. The vending machines also didn’t work with foreign credit cards, and didn’t take cash. There’s no restaurant so you’ll need to plan to east elsewhere - the 13 Coins just up the road is decent.
We needed a place for an overnight transit stop at SeaTac airport and chose the Red Lion for our purposes. It is located very close to the airport, literally just across the road from the terminals. We would’ve walked if we knew it was so close! Instead we waited for the free shuttle which runs every 15-30 minutes. The room was pretty much standard for what you’d expect from this sort of hotel – clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. We had a good, uninterrupted sleep. We made use of the fitness room in the morning and found it to be very basic, just a couple of pieces of cardio gear. And there was no working AC so it was very hot and stuffy. Overall, we had a decent stay and would recommend it for an overnight transit stop.
Had a great night sleep This hotel has 24 hr shuttle service and they helped me by holding my bags after check out so I could go to the mall I took lift $13:each way 3 minute wait and I said I would watch 15 min for cheaper price and he showed up in 2 min Room was a little outdated but I got a great night sleep! And a very hot shower What more can u ask for Safe place too stay
