We stayed overnight so we could catch an early morning 6:00 am international flight the following day. The room was 3 star. The bar had great service and exceptional food. The Calamari and Ahi Poke was really outstanding. They have no reservation system for the shuttle to the airport. It was a zoo. Despite being the first people in the lobby to catch the 3:45am shuttle, they let some others on ahead of us for some reason and then stopped us from boarding so they could load on a flight crew that moments prior got to the end of the line. They refused to allow us to board the shuttle despite the fact that were the first people in line to board and that we had to check in early because we were international travelers as well as Platinum Marriott members. Don’t count on this hotel to get you to the airport on time. Their shuttle system sucks and that needs to be addressed. Lots of good things going on at this hotel but the shuttle service is a complete and utter disaster.…
The room I stayed in was fine. It was an atrium room, so there was little natural light. Multiple electrical outlets were available in the room, along with several built-in USB chargers. The TV had an external HDMI cable for connecting a laptop or other (video streaming) device; I think this is the first hotel room I've stayed in that had this touch. The nightstand clock had a wireless phone charger and built-in Lightning (iPhone) and micro-USB cables; very handy. Fixing the incorrect time on the nightstand clock required a 10 minute detective journey into the depths of the Internet; hotels should select room accessories that are usable by mere mortals! As noted in several other reviews, this property used to have a large indoor pool which has been filled in and carpeted over. This resulted in an large, empty atrium (event?) space in the center of the hotel that just seems out of place. The high-level "Hotel Details" section of the Google Maps search results still lists the indoor pool as a feature of this property. Finally, parking. Yes, paying for the privilege(?) of parking a vehicle is standard practice for hotels in this area, but the $28 charge for self-parking here was the second-highest (based on a spot-check) among 5 hotels in the immediate area. The parking spots are narrow and a pain to park in. Not impressed with this tactic.…
Beware parking at Seatac Marriott! I parked there for 6 days last week and when I came back I found that a thief had attempted to steal the catalytic converter from my car. They didn't get the converter probably due to being scared off by someone coming into the area. But they did manage to cut half way through the exhaust pipe behind the converter which I now need to get fixed. There is no security in the lot and some of it is quite a way from the hotel. So I think this lot may be one of the easier targets for these theives. I will not be parking there again. Of course Marriott has signs about not it being responsible for anything regarding the cars as all lots like this do however in the future I will look for one that will present a less attractive target for the thieves.
This review is for an unprofessional bartender. I dined there last night, I can't remember her name but she was blonde and very unfriendly. Once done eating, I told her I would put the tab on my room. She gave me the bill, I signed all info name, room number and tip. I exited the restaurant and proceeded to the printer which is right next to the bar. The bartender runs up to me and says oh, you didn't pay your bill , are you putting it on your room? I said to her, I just did at the bar. She told me no you didn't, it is not at the bar. After much frustration, I go back to the bar where I find her chatting with another associate. She looks up and sees me and casually says oh, yeah I found your tab, all good." Mangers; She needs training or a different profession. Such a bad look for you guys!…
The pool area really made this place special. Even if you didn’t like to swim the pool was amazing. They covered the pool with carpet and it ruined the entire feel of the property. Save your money snd stay at a motel 6. At least the motel 6 would have better character and a pool.
