A great choice for our 1st visit to Port Townsend. Charlie & Barb are superb hosts, and it felt like we'd made good friends by the time we checked out. The location is perfect as easy to explore all activities in the historic district. Charlie steered us to great dinners at Silverwater & the Fountain Cafe; but we can't say...

It goes without saying from reading the other articles, but Thornton House was an amazing place to stay. The hosts were incredibly friendly and quite amazing cooks. The morning breakfasts were truly gourmet. Every amenity was covered during our stay. They have chocolates, wine at night for their guests, soda, cookies/brownies or some other treat and tea's 24/7. We would...

First off, Charles and Barbara are the nicest, kindest people you'll ever meet. We felt so incredibly welcome. And we were completely spoiled by the wonderful breakfast every morning. Barbara is a fantastic cook and the table was always beautifully set. The rooms were immaculate, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We stayed in one of the upstairs rooms the first...

My wife and I were looking for a last-minute getaway for the 4th of July weekend. Thornton House had a room available and I'm glad they did! We stayed in the Garden Room and it was perfect. Every morning the coffee was sitting outside our door just waiting for us to enjoy on the balcony in the morning sun. The...

We visited Thornton House for just one night and had a wonderful time. The hosts are incredibly friendly, but not too much so. The grounds were beautiful and our room was very nice. We were in the Garden Room and it was a nice size room, nicely done, but not too frilly in an overly Victorian sort of way. The...

I couldn't agree more with the other reviewers. We stayed in the Carriage House and it was beyond comfortable, quiet and private. Barbara's breakfasts were fabulous (I still want that waffle recipe) and Charlie was so much fun to chat with. They truly made us feel completely welcome and like one of the family. Very relaxing!

Thornton House is a simply wonderful B&B that will make you want to be sure to include Port Townsend, and Thornton House, into any future plans you have for a return visit to the Olympic Peninsula area. One stay is not enough. Charlie and Barbara are gracious people who make you feel right at home in their home, and the...

A large home with 19th Century charm not far from the main hub of PT. We used this night in PT as a launching off point for a tour of the Olympic peninsula. Barb and Charlie made us feel welcome immediately offering a quick tour of the home (that includes a nice outdoor deck for an evening drink or quiet...

Everything about our experience at this Bed and Breakfast was pretty perfect. The house has that nice quality of being both pretty and comfortable, as was our bedroom. We slept like a dream.all 3 nights. The grounds are also lovely to look at, with a fine garden to wander through, and a number of different seating areas, where. come 5:00...

“There are two rooms in the main part of the house. One has an en-suite bathroom while the other involves a walk down the hall. Both are nice, but be sure to ask which one you're getting. There is also a renovated carriage house outside. More modern but spacious.”
