We were two families with 3 kids and throughly enjoyed this scenic place. Kids and adults enjoyed the bumpy off road ride(15-20 mins, 2kms distance) arranged by hotel management for the pickup from parking area. This may be inconveninent for senior citizens.

Its inside huge coffee plantation and away from all kind of disturbances, you can just relax around the property and enjoy the silence. Also there is a small water stream and we spent some time and enjoyed the fresh water.

Enough indore games were available for the kids and adults. We enjoyed the dinner. Though this is bit costly it is worth for the ambience and logistics involved as this place is on top of the hill and transportation is not that easy.

The staffs are very friendly and the manager Sunil was in constant touch before and after reaching place and make our stay more memorable.

We had an excellent time! The staff is very friendly and Sunil the manager helped make our stay more personalized. Surrounded by coffee estate the place is serene and they have a pet dog 'Max', who made our experience so much better. gets a bit hot during the day, nights are chilly.

Me and Mo being the only guests in the property then, the staff promptly responded to any requests we had.
Food is Kerela food, tasty and spicy. When we wanted to have plain food, they made it for us.

location is suitable for people who want to spend time with nature and can entertain themselves.

You can go for it without a second thought !!!
1. Let me first begin with the jeep ride to the resort that takes about 20minutes, which is a unique experience.
2. We were mesmerized by the view of Tree house. Not just the house but the way to the tree house was also a great walk through the plantation.
3. The room was cozy and decorated with cute stuffs. The view from the tree house is just amaaaazing !!
4. The view from the restaurant was also good. We asked for specific food items earlier and they provided us what we wanted.
5. I had asked for Candle light dinner near a specific spot which was near by a water stream. I must mention here, Manager Sunil and his team really gave their best by decorating the place just like the way we wanted. It was not just candle light dinner but the entire place was decorated with lights.
6. It might not be an infinite pool, but it does not lack in terms of beauty. We took good pictures near the pool, which looks like a pool in Bali.
7.We wanted to sit outside the restaurant in mid of nature and the manager immediately agreed to it and shifted the table outside. We had a good time there.
8. The bathing soap which they gave is really fragrant and awesome.
9. We were supposed to check-out at 12 PM the next day, but Manager Sunil was so flexible enough and allowed us to stay till 5 PM evening.

On the Whole, It is a good place surrounded with people who always smiles at you and cater to your needs all the time and they make your stay wonderful.

We visited this place with our friends from Banglore. The resort is located in middle of coffee plantation. Nice scenic view from the cottages. You have to leave your vehicle and travel in old Jeep provided by them. The staff is very polite and pleasant. Mr Sunil was ever ready and helping to meet our requirements.
The drive up hill to the resort is completely off road as there is hardly any road, its old beaten washout road. Once you reach the resort you can't think of going down again till you plan to leave. the isolated location is good for peace but lack of smooth connectivity to go out and explore other places in Wayanad makes you feel caged. Further there are no much activity to do in the property added with Leech menace making it difficult for walk around.
Its may be a good place if you want to layback and be lazy.
View COVID their restaurant was not fully functional only make shift arrangements and limited food items was another drawback. However they try to provide if you order well in advance.
We had nigthmare with jeep service had to wait for more than 1hr to be picked up from parking. At parking area there is not shade/ water facility. Since there is only one jeep you have to wait in open if u are large group more than 4 person. it takes nearly 45 mins of one trip up and down. to add to our agony while returning the jeep packed up view no fuel and we were stuck in middle of jungle for 45 min.

I was there for 2N-3D in May 2022 with wife and kids. The property is great, there is no doubt about that. The coffee plantation, wooden cottages and the view is amazing. But there are certain disadvantages with this beauty-

1. The resort is located on a hill. You have to park your vehicle at the bottom and then take their Jeep to reach the resort which itself is quite an adventure. They don't have a kitchen and that means there is no room service or food availability during the day. They only serve Breakfast and Lunch/Dinner. I'm not so sure about whether lunch is served because I was always encouraged to have lunch outside. And Since you can't casually go out for food, You have to plan it carefully (You can not go on your own . You have to wait for their vehicle to be available which will droop you to parking and pick you from there). This was the biggest problem since if you are planning to stay there and not roam around in the city, you definitely want to have something between lunch and dinner and you have no option except Tea/Coffee.
2. Their restaurant where dinner is served is an open restaurant. In the night when it rained, we could see all sorts of insects flying there. There were a few frogs on the tables and on the wall.. It was a bit disgusting and all I did was quickly finished the dinner. I was scared that something may jump in my food . It would have been better if it was closed or have an option to have it in a closed / open restaurant.

If you like food, make sure you check with them before booking. I did not find the food to be good and with some variety.. I have had better food on Himalaya treks.but then that is individual preference.

Excellent resort set amidst a coffee plantation... Nice and cosy cottages that can accommodate up to 4 people on a hill side with excellent views. They have nice pool to chill out as well..Vehicles will not go till the resort and have to be parked on a lot near the main road and they will take you on a 4wd jeep..Would recommend for getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city life..

The place is beautiful. The highlight of the stay is the adventurous jeep ride up and down the mountain. Free wi-fi and breakfast. Clean pool and clean rooms.

The staff is friendly in most cases. We stay there on Christmas eve and the resort was understaffed, marred with some plumbing issues and failed to impress us with their service.

Joe, the owner, was apologetic the next day and tried to make up for it by offering a discount. Go there to relax and enjoy the tea garden and panoramic views. It is a good escape from the hustle and bustle of big Indian towns.

Wanted a weekend getaway for a cousins gathering, coming all over from the world and mostly from Bangalore and Kerala. We considered Ootty or Coorg first considering the March beginning climate and then to save the time from traffic and crowds, chose Marmalade Springs at Wayanad - cool, misty, convenient and a great getaway. Enough space and freedom, caring service staff and a beautiful view of the area from the cottages. Party time at night was so memorable and joyful, and it offered one of the biggest campfire experience. Trekking and hikes through the plantations gave nostalgic memories for those who came from own plantations in other parts of Kerala. All Bangaloreans had unanimously voted it as the best weekend getaway choice we made from the maddening crowds of Ootty and Coorg! Quite memorable time we had there and recommendable, indeed!

With deep regret , i write this review , for the inconvience  caused  to our family during our vacation trip  on the  christmas day  as its peak season we had to cancel our trip becuse of this bad experience .

We had to drop our trip   due to frentic approach of agoda team , moreover which we had to hear  abusive  words from the property we booked , which we had  booked on through agoda from  25th to 27th dec 2020 .The booking was done in 12th december 2020.

In this case , we had  to  face a  grave situation becuse of  the neligence of agoda ,on the top the response and abusive words from marmalde mangement .

Agoda being a  reputed travel consulatant i do accept some glichtes happens , however i believe that agoda approach therafter was satisfactory but being a reputed hotel marmalade they could atleast speak clam as we came down after continues travel of 18 hours , even if they dont have rooms , but approach was very exausperating and pathetic ! In between the calls the owner i believe he said even if i have rooms im not willing to provide . Even said get lost in the very first calls to a me, being a lady i felt this these morons are cheapest people ever i met .Rather than they console us they tried to make things worse .even after months im forced to write this review only becuse of the attitude, of managment .

Response from Joseph Thomas, Owner at Marmalade Springs

Ma’am , I have tried to explain to you many times via telephonic conversation and WhatsApp messages with attached proof that we have not received any booking via agoda . Please find attached photos to confirm this ( which I have sent to you in December also) Infact the last booking we received from agoda is for the month of February. Now in your name we did receive a booking from travel guru on the 12 th of December and we mailed them back on 13 th December ( itself)requesting Travel guru to cancel the said booking as we were already full, following this mail we received a confirmed cancellation mail from their side too. Please find attached photos with dates to confirm this . Also there is a decorum for conversation which is similar for females and males. Just because one is a female EXTREME offensive language cannot we used . Males are not a punching bag for your frustration. Being a female in the hospitality industry myself it’s distressing to note how often we misuse the respect people generally show us for the simple reason that we are female. We had no rooms available for 25th December , if we had ,in spite of your behaviour and colourful language we would have given you a room, contrary to what you seem to think we are HUMAN and did understand the situation you were facing but we were helpless. Also please note we have not received any amount for your booking hence you will have to fight this out with Travelguru or Agoda for your refund ( assuming you have not received one already) Also note telephonic conversations are automatically recorded ( when it becomes aggressive) and with the mail proof we have , we will go ahead with legal action if you continue to harass us. Please feel free to take this legally from your side too but hopefully you will direct it in the right direction, but if your sole aim is to tarnish a Reputed ( your own words ) stay like mine then please be assured like your good self I am very persistent also. Thank You Nithya jk Marattukalam 9656225389 Joseph Thomas 9847105578 Unfortunately I am not able to attach the concerned photos , have requested trip advisor to permit attachment of photos .

I wish I could have answered this before but for anyone still looking for an answer I will post my suggestion as I travelled with two senior citizens. The resort is not wheel chair friendly as there are no proper pathways for moving the wheelchair. However, you could book "Superior Room" which are close to dining area and also close to Jeep pickup point. I went with senior citizens who were able to walk but had problems due to age and we faced problem while coming for lunch, dinner, breakfast and also boarding the Jeep for coming down the resort. But it's not a big deal asnd lot depends on the location of cottage.
