I stayed in the bunkhouse for 3 nights during the Sandhill crane festival. It was about a 25 minute drive to othello. The first 2 nights was a loud drunken fest on the premises but the last night was quiet and peaceful. You have to bring your own sheets towels pillow, etc and the rooms have a mildew odor. Next...

Potholes is a beautiful place to fish. The ProStaff at Mardon Resort will get any angler, wether new to the sport or well seasoned onto fish! Great advice, great shop! Also they have a camping area that is extremely well priced. Completely family friendly! You can also rent a boat for the day!

We tent camped here for 2 nights. The check in process was quick and the staff were nice and helpful. My party was only 3 people (me, my wife, and son) and we got put in between 3 parties of 6 or more people so we felt cramped. One thing to lookout for here are all of the golf carts....

We met family here because of some sweet history. I had never heard of it. The trip gave us some surprises. The resort was helpful in getting us a room to replace our damaged RV. There is a lot to do here, it is clean, the staff is friendly, the prices are reasonable.

Back from another week at Mardon's. Was pleasantly surprised when we pulled into our site and found they had added about 6 more feet of grassy area to it. The entire area we normally camp at had been improved upon. They added more useable ground space and had cut away some of the very tall scrub trees that had blocked...

No closer lodging to Potholes reservoir, but basic as basic can be. Nothing fancy. Everything worked. Place to crash after day on lake, but not exactly "resort"ish. Beds comfortable and clean, but very old. Kitchenette backwoods basic, but again, everything worked. And is very nice to roll out of bed and into the boat. Guide services outstanding.

Recently visited Mardon again and had a great time. Loved the cabin...although it could use some refurbishing for $265/night. Took advantage of boat rental and fishing and had a great time. Some not so family friendly party crowds depending on the night. Overall loved the relaxed resort and will make another trip back.

Stayed in Camper Cabin B for 4 nights. Pros - super close to beach and close to restrooms (about 4 camping spots away). The weather...amazing. Desert heat, loved it. Plenty of electrical outlets in the cabin. Cons - only American $$ accepted here, including quarters for the showers. But I should have known that (I forgot to bring American cash)....

I booked this last minute while traveling with my dog. What i liked: Its pet friendly, the staff i met with were all friendly, there is a restaurant and convenience store on property. Some things to consider; I would only go back if i was planning time on the water with watercraft. The hotel rooms are basic and very old....

We recently stayed at Mardon resort. They have added several new rv sites and still have cabins and rooms to suit almost anyone. We were able to rent a boat and motor to get out on the lake for some fishing, then get lunch at the cafe. There is no pool. There is a really nice swimming beach.
