Horribly overpriced. Clean but thats it. Fireplace with NO instructions for use. Pluming faucets were faulty. No literature of amenities. Would not recommend NOR would I ever use again. Terribly disappointing.

Being genuinely mystified by the ratings other visitors have given, I have to be forthright and tell you that our one-night stay here blew us away. We had visited the National Park and were rounding south on Highway 1 along the coast. Ocean Shores seemed like as good of a place to stay as any and I booked the resort/casino without thinking. But then my monkey mind started replaying the other resort/casino places we'd stayed in our travels, remembering the cigarette smoke, the cacophony of the slot machines, their worn-down nature, and began to regret my decision. I was wrong. I was very wrong. The resort was well off of Highway 1 and right on the Washington Coast. Sure the slot machines near the registration desk were making the noises they do, but there wasn't a hint of smoke. Mmm, I thought, maybe this'll turn out OK. Then we went to our room. WOW! It was filled with original art, carved headboards, and was large (as in large!) and bright. And the view, oh the view. We could almost touch the Pacific. We'd actually go out of our way to stay here again.

I am not one to write negative reviews but from the moment we arrived, it was not a good experience. It was pouring rain but we were told we couldn't even unload our car to check in when under the portico. We carried all our luggage in in a downpour. We arrived after 4:00 and our room wasn't ready for another hour. Room was clean and quiet - the only nice things I can say. The room was stark: had no towel holders by the sinks which were next to walls, no kleenex in room, no exhaust in the bath, no papers about the hotel or city in the room. We passed housekeeping each day and not once did they acknowledge us or ask if we needed anything. We were very unwanted. Two of us - 1 piece of chocolate. The lobby and restaurants were so cold all the time, we had to wear coats to eat. NO TELEPHONE RECEPTION UNLESS OUTSIDE. Smokers had prime seating under the portico next to the doors, which leads to what you might expect. Temperature checks every time you enter the building so when we went to the car to get our box of kleenex, or go for a walk, we were checked for covid - like we could catch it in the 10 minute walk out and back. No light by the couch. Not even an outlet to move a light over. Can't read on the couch in the evening. No alarm clock. I get they want you to gamble while there, but a room is for relaxing. Not here!

came to get away for a few days and listen to the ocean, front desk lady that checked us in was as rude as could be! King bed had lumps and depressions in and carpet is worn out. the bistro is way over priced and the food was cold when we received. Slots are ok but nobody coming around to bring us drinks so went to the bar and there she was getting drinks but never saw her walking around the floor. Checked out early at 7:30 never once was I asked how the room or the stay was! They really need to tear out carpet in rooms and put in new beds.

I wanted to visit the Olympic National Park, but the hotel room was $700 a night and the reviews for other properties were not acceptable. So, I went to the Oregon Coast where there were plenty of reasonably priced rooms with higher ratings. My husband and I had a great break from smokey skies and heat.
