Great location, very clean, new owners were very accommodating. Restaurant was ok, it was end of season and they were out of everything. kind of disappointing. But the lake was great and the resort is a nice place to go. Recommend it

We had a wonderful experience here. This resort has new owners as of a few months ago, and they are very friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much. The rooms are very nice, the little island with the lighthouse on it is very cool. I give this place an A+ rating!

My family has always enjoyed coming here but like the other reviews, hesitated coming back because of the service. THE NEW OWNERS ARE INCREDIBlE!! I have never seen anyone work so hard to make every person completely 100% satisfied! Everything is so beautiful and kept clean. There is a lot of activities to do and have fun! The service is...

We stayed in the Cozy Oar Bungalows, which are very cute one-room cabins. The view from the bungalows wasn't the best but the lake itself was quite beautiful. We rented one of the resort's reasonably-priced paddle boats and saw a variety of birds out on the lake, as well as some deer wading near the shore. The staff is EXCEPTIONALLY...

My husband and I stumbled upon this place while we were out fishing last weekend. Very reasonable rates and a great room to spend the night. Its great that the room had full kitchen facilities as the restaurant was closed. We made dinner and set out on the completely covered deck to eat and watch the sun go down. After...

The facilities are very nice, but the managers made it exceptional with their friendliness and helpfulness! From the greeting in the parking lot when we pulled in to helping our friends with jumper cables, Joy and her husband (sorry, forgot his name) were always cheerful, friendly and helpful! The store had lots of goodies and was very nice. Everything is...

I was skeptical of this place because of some of the reviews I had read about the "rules and rude owners" but it was the only place on Lake Mayfield that was available on short notice for a weekend getaway. I am pleased to say that those who have posted about the former owners...they are GONE, because the new ownership...

Our family stayed in the cozy cabins for 3 nights. We went fishing, boating, swimming in the lake, hiking, saw a movie in the Great Hall, played badmitton, ate yummy ice cream and were treated like we were special. The place has brand new owners and they are truly heaven sent. The entire staff was so wonderful to us. We...

We recently spent a weekend at the Lake Mayfield Resort & Marina - http://www.lakemayfield.com/ - and had an amazing time. It is under new ownership and the owners are extremely welcoming and friendly. The staff will go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. We camped on Adventure Island (yes, it's an actual island!) which is...

“There are two 2 story hotel spots on the property, one is closer to the lake, other has an expansive view of the lake up the hill.”

“Tell them how many people you have. With so many different size rooms, they have a room to accommodate! Pets are very welcome too!”

“Both lodges are above ground level. Aspen ground level can be accessed by driving up to a small (3 cars can park) area and unloading. Then you must move your car to a lover area and climb steps or walk up the driveway. Johnson Lodge has no less than 20 stairs to the first floor with no way to get there other than to climb the stairs. Not handicap accessible in any way.”

“Don't rent the Itty Bitty Cabin unless there are only two people who only want a room to sleep in. It is extremely small. All other rooms in the lodges were very nice.”
