Our son and his family live is Gig Harbor. We visit them every year. They would like us to stay at the guest house, but we always stay at the Bear's Lair. Why spend the money when we don't need to? Because the Bear's Lair is beyond perfection: the "campus" is huge, utterly remote and quiet; Jen's cooking is exemplary....

You feel very isolated at this bed and breakfast. The surrounding gardens and woods are spectacular. The rooms are very comfortable. The bathroom is exceptionally clean. The breakfasts are delicious and include multiple juices and fresh fruit. In the evening, coffee, tea, cookies, soda, jelly beans are all available. Jen and Giulio Santori built their home here in stages. Giulio is a master carpenter...

If you are looking for a relaxing retreat with lovely views, charming amenities, accompanied by a delicious breakfast then you will find all of this and more at the Bear's Lair! My husband and I spent 2 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The property is beautiful and the pictures simply do not do it justice! We truly enjoyed the...

We stayed in the Carriage House at Bears Lair B & B on Saturday, October 1st, 2016. Jen and Julio were fantastic hosts! They built this beautiful B & B from the ground up, including all the furniture!! The craftsmanship is amazing and the breakfast is to die for! Walking around the colorful gardens was a special treat. Every detail...

You enter on to a beautiful white fenced driveway, up to the ultimate Swiss Chalet. We stayed in the Azalea room, 0ne of 3 rooms in the main house. I would recommend one down the hall, as this one enters immediately into the great room. Our room was furnished beautifully, with lovely linens. The craftsmanship in the house is superb!!...

We stayed for two nights in the Carriage House. The Carriage House is the one lodging detached from the main house. The idea was a Disney Princess inspired getaway and this fit the bill perfectly. The entire area is set back in the woods with beautiful grounds, gazebos, sitting areas, and gardens. The main house is beautiful and blends with...

We have stayed in many B&B's over the years, but Bear's Lair was really special. It is tucked into the woods, so it's a great place to relax and enjoy the surrounding beauty. The grounds are immaculate, and the carriage house is roomy and comes with a full kitchen and laundry room. You can easily see how much love and...

My wife and I stayed in the Azalea room for five nights. The Bears Lair is tucked into the woods far from any road noise or city lights. Yet close to Gig Harbor and the Cushman walking trail. The house is clearly a labor of love, impeccably built and maintained. Jen is the consummate host and the breakfasts were lovely....

Our family of three stayed in the Carriagehouse. It is a beautiful separate building with unbelievable wood craftsmanship, all done by the husband. It is a one bedroom cottage but there is a Murphy bed in the living room as well. There is also a dining room with a beautiful stone gas fireplace, a full bath, laundry room, full kitchen,...

We so enjoyed our stay at the Bears Lair. We stayed in the carriage house which is exactly as described, a house. Complete with kitchen, washer, dryer, everything you can imagine. What impressed me the most is the attention to detail. There was an espresso machine available and my first thought was, so what. You need milk to make an...
