My husband and I stayed for our 5 year wedding anniversary. We got to look at all the rooms and choose what we liked best. Bob is an amazing person and cooked us whatever we wanted for breakfast! He helped us arrange our days and gave great suggestions for hikes and nature cruise. Dinner at the cafe was wonderful and...

Despite being very frequent business and leisure travelers this was our first stay at a B&B. Our concern with B&B stays has always been making sure that we have privacy, the amenities of a chain or boutique hotel, and not feeling like we are staying in someone's home. The Kingfish totally exceeded all expectations that we had offering a true...

My family had a most enjoyable stay at the Kingfish Inn. We stayed in the Club Suite which included a king size bed, a trundle, free WiFi, flat screen TV, and DVD player. Also our own deck which offered a beautiful view of the harbor. The owners, Bob and Lori, were so friendly and helpful. Bob provided helpful information about...

We had such a great time at the Kingfish Inn. The rooms were so clean and well equiped, the view was breathtaking, and the Bob's cooking in the restaurant was top notch. Lori was an excellent hosts and we had the hardest time saying goodbye to the Inn. Stay here FOR SURE!

My wife and I recently spent 4 days and 3 nights at the Kingfish for our anniversary and chose them after extensive research. As soon as we arrived, Bob encouraged us to watch the bald eagles feeding on fish scraps on the beach in front of the inn and we got to enjoy them over the next 4 days. Our...

We have been traveling in the islands for years and found the Kingfish Inn a couple of years ago and just returned for a couple nights stay , have to say it just keeps getting better and better. Love the updates Lori and Bob did on the rooms, they gave us a tour of the rooms, now confused as to...

Our room was #2 and it was perfect! The view from the window was the kind that feeds your soul. Big, fluffy, comfortable beds. The 'wood' burning stove warmed the room all night- and added to the romantic atmosphere. Our breakfast, both mornings was nothing short of 5 stars! I love to cook, and I'm not sure even I could...

My two friends and I drove from Portland to the Kingfish Inn for a girls weekend and it was definitely worth the drive. The location is breathtaking. Waking up to the view of the bay and walking out to the deck for a homemade breakfast was heavenly. The homemade sausage was my favorite. The Inn also offers dinner; the ambience,...

This was one of the best choices in lodging we have ever made. The hosts, Bob and Lori, were incredibly gracious and made us very comfortable. There are four rooms...we stayed in one upstairs with an idyllic view. We had wanted the room with the deck but it didn't really matter because sitting in front of the big open windows...

My wife and I spent four night in the first floor room (there are only four rooms available). Bob and Lauri were excellent hosts and our room was a very comfortable place to relax after a busy day doing outside activities and touring the island. It is worth knowing that the Inn is also a local restaurant open for dinner...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
With just four very individual suites, Kingfish Inn housed in a historic 1902 building, is a treasured Orcas Island secret. At the junction of two designated scenic byways, our Inn is just steps away from the sparkling waters of West Sound and the bucolic and verdant farmlands of Crow Valley. Kingfish Inn is the perfect place to experience the healing "magic" of Orcas Island, the most spectacular of the San Juan islands. Having operated All Dream Cottages on Orcas Island for many years, we appreciate our guests desire for a more romantic and private lodging experience. We strive to provide that cozy and intimate, yet comfortable space for our Inn guests. We respect your privacy and unless asked, no one enters your space while you are here. Lie in bed all day with a good book or just sit still looking at the ever changing views from your window. Kingfish Inn is NOT a Bed and Breakfast. We do, however, provide coffee makers, tea and COMPLIMENTARY breakfast items like fresh fruit, yogurt, juice) in a small in-room refrigerator so that our guests may start their day on their own schedules. ... more   less
