We recently visited Bellingham and waited until the last minute to make a reservation for a place to stay. We found most hotels in the area to be quiet expensive and felt like we were taking a gamble on the Lions Inn. Although their website was a bit hard to navigate, we were so pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Newly... More

I have stayed several times times at this motel and had a good experience every time. The rooms are newly renovated with quite upscale furniture and a quiet location. It is run by a family who are super friendly - even got to say hello to their grandson. The motel is in a historic neighborhood with well kept home -... More

We travel full time and have been to all kinds of lower to moderately priced hotels around the world. The Lions Inn Motel in Bellingham is great! Comfortable rooms with plenty of space, very clean, and the people are so friendly and helpful - couldn't ask for more! We left for a week in Seattle, then returned for another few... More

Small hotel in Bellingham. Remodeled very clean rooms. Nothing fancy, just good rates and very clean. Although I couldn't find the thermostat for the heat. I n a residential neighborhood, quiet no freeway noise as with many hotels.

This place was acceptable as it's clear the new owners have worked very hard to make this a better rental. it's very clean, most of it is new and it recently being refurbished. The Kitchenette was well stocked, and the fridge was large, MT & clean. The Free WIFI was spotty, worked for my phone & Ipad but not for... More

This place is great! Ray (the owner) showed us all the rooms and let us pick our favorite. Great vibe and clean and beautiful rooms. Centrally located to downtown and super affordable. Would stay again for sure.

The owner was a joy, friendly, helpful and wanted to get to know me as a person. Helped me pick out places to eat and what I should avoid around town. Room was cute and cosy, great for a single guy there for a few days. Decent prices and not too far from Downtown. If I ever go back to... More

Having moved to Bellingham, we stayed in the suite at the Lions Motel for two weeks waiting for the moving truck to arrive with our household goods. The new owners went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable, ensuring we had a well equipped kitchenette, cozy sitting room and comfortable bed (with a brand-new mattress). Even Starbucks coffee!... More

Every time we come to Bellingham, we have stayed at The Lions Inn. The first experiences with previous management was truly awkward. When we arrived the last time, we were greeted in a friendly manner and received a personally guided tour of the newly renovated rooms and suites. The new owners have taken such great care of a "ran down"... More

Clean and convenient for car-less travelers since it's on a bus line! Many thanks to the new management, who accommodated us despite a reservation snafu created by the previous manager. We will stay again if we're ever in the area.

“We only stayed in a standard room so we can not comment on the other rooms but some of them appeared to have better drapes hanging in them compared to our room. I would recommend bringing your own pillows if flat pillows are not comfortable for you. The heating system is wonderful so extra blankets are not needed unless you just want the weight of them. If you are an electronic buff....definitely don't miss the largest electronic inventions museum in the United States called Sparx....5 minute drive from the Lion's Inn and you will need meter money. Admission was $6. They even have Tesla coil demonstrations with the Tesla coil built for Cirque de Solei. Nick has great ideas for exploring the surrounding areas of Bellingham so be sure to talk with him.”
