We stayed in a 2 queen studio room on the first floor. The room was very spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. It had tall ceilings which surprised me for the first floor, but added to the spaciousness. The sink and mirror were separate from the bathrrom which is nice for getting ready in the morning. The breakfast was fine. A hot tub in the pool area would have been nice, but there is so much to do in Williamsburg that we didn't have time to use the pool. I highly recommend this hotel.
My wife and I stayed here in August of 2021 when we dropped off our son for his junior year at William & Mary. We usually stay at the Embassy Suites or Homewood Suites in Williamsburg but they were not available for this trip so we chose this hotel and we were very happy we did. We got the King studio and the room was great. We picked room 401 which was on the street side which I thought was a mistake because of the noise factor but we never heard any street noise and the view was nice so it was a fine choice. The room itself was great. It was very big and looked brand new. Everything was clean and worked perfectly. This was our first time staying in a hotel since the pandemic and we were very concerned about our safety but the hotel seems to take all the precautions necessary to keep us safe. Check in has a plexiglass barrier and all the staff wore masks in the open areas. Unfortunately, the same can't be said about the guests. But you can't control people. My wife and I were practically the only people wearing masks while we walked around the hotel. There were some people who did wear masks at breakfast though. Breakfast was limited due to the pandemic but it was good and enough. There was scrambled eggs and sausage, cereals, yogurts, bread, bagels, fruit and waffles. I am going down again in September for Parent's weekend at William & Mary and have already rebooked this hotel.…
Staff was welcoming and gave us directional pages to their favorite restaurants and parks. Hotel was very clean. We have stayed at the other hilton locations in williamsburg, this fares the best by far as well as location.
We really appreciated how clean everything was. Room was huge, staff was friendly and efficient. Room was nice and looked updated. Location was perfect. Worth every penny. Oh, breakfast was a large spread.
This Hilton was probably nice five years ago. The room temp. controls do not make a difference. Due to how the cleanliness seemed on the way to our room, we were afraid to walk on the carpet without socks. Rust around faucets and shower. Breakfast was scarce and barely edible. Elevator shakes and makes a lot of noise. Trash was on the ground outside and in the hallways.
Love Hampton Inns because they are always clean and yummy breakfast. One night was $231 with taxes. My only complaint was how expensive it was. Yes, it was a holiday weekend. Glad we only had to pay for one night!!
worst hotel breakfast I have ever had, front desk Staff did not acknowledge us other than check in for the 4 days we were there, charged small amount on my credit card the day before check in and the full amount at check in, great location and large rooms, air conditioning unit panel hanging off unit, things left in our room from previous guest, and elevator had missing hand rails with duck tape placed over where they use to be, extremely weak coffee and the selection of hot items was almost laughable , very dry mini omelets , sausage and powdered eggs . no taste at all.
My wife and I recently visited Williamsburg with friends and stayed for two nights at the Hampton. The location is great as it is really close to the historical sites in the area. It is also close to many really good restaurants. The rates were very good and the room was clean. The service was good. The ice machine on our floor was out of order and we had to try 2 others before finding ice. The breakfast was very average.
My job comes with a lot of travel so I have stayed in countless Hilton properties. I decided to stay in Williamsburg even though my business is in Newport News. When I arrived to room 205 I immediately thought it was a little dated but it smelled and looked clean so I was ok with it being a little older. The issue I ran into was when I woke up in the middle of the night scratching my side. I went to the restroom and when I walked back I noticed I was scratching my arm. I immediately panicked and pulled back the sheet and found the bug. I tried to scoop it on a napkin but ended up squashing it and it turned to a blood blob which is exactly what happens when you squeeze a bed bug. I packed up all of my things and went downstairs. It was 2:30am and I was so upset. The gentleman at the front desk moved me to a new room but I didn’t even risk laying down, I literally napped in the desk chair. This morning I googled this hotel and bedbugs and there have been complaints of them at this hotel numerous times over the years. I will never set foot in this hotel again.…
Clean and spacious rooms. Free breakfast was ok. Not a ton of options, but definitely convenient. Lines for waffles were pretty long. Close to Busch Gardens. Walls are a bit thin and we had noisy neighbors, but front desk happily asked them to keep it down, which they did.
