The hospitality we received from Debbie and John was unpretentious and the laughter flowed easily with their down-to-earth humor. They made us feel like old friends. We liked the small details - sherry, port, the best home-made chocolate chip cookies and breakfast by ourselves in the library when the other guests had all left. We loved the privacy that the...

If you are use to being in a hotel and the front desk attendant has to look at the screen to say your last name, don't worry about it here. It's only rooms enough for a few couples. John and Deborah called us by our first names and it was personal to me. The FDR suite was beautiful. You only...

My 10-year-old daughter and I decided to take a quick weekend overnight trip to Williamsburg. I found this B&B online, and it looked like something more fun than a hotel. I was very right. My daughter and I loved it, and would definitely come back. This was a very centrally-located facility with on-site parking, and very nice appearance both inside...

This past weekend, my (now) husband and I traveled to Williamsburg to get married. We also wanted to incorporate our honeymoon into this trip, so we set out to find the perfect getaway spot. We came across the White House Inn and immediately fell in love with it. We arrived and were greeted by John and Debbie as if we...

My husband and I have stayed at the Williamsburg White House Inn two times now--last summer and this summer--and both stays were thoroughly enjoyable. We have stayed in both the Teddy Roosevelt suite and the Washington suite and both were extremely comfortable, spotless, and delightful! I especially like how the rooms are decorated and the fact that both of these...

If you are looking for a place that makes you feel at home and a special guest at the same time, look no further. Debbie's breakfasts are simply delightful. With her culinary talents, it's a shame she doesn't also prepare dinners. Very convenient to colonial Williamsburg. M and P Barber, Raleigh, NC

We stumbled across the Williamsburg White House Inn on Jamestown Road whilst Googleing B&Bs in the area. Coming over from England we didn’t really want to stay in any of the major chains where you are just a number. The White House was perfect given we had gone to Williamston to do the whole tourist thing on American history. Debbie...

This was our first experience at a bed and breakfast, and (wow!) John and Debbie set the bar high for all other B&B owners in our book. We loved the presidential theme of the house. The FDR room is beautiful! And the breakfasts were delicious! With the great location and the interaction with the other guests, we could not have...

The home is very nice and well kept but a little too artificial, contrived. It is run more like a business rather than a B&B. John, the owner, is a man of few words. The library is hard core Republican. A little much for an Independent.

We booked our room using the Internet with our fingers crossed. This turned out to be a terrific B&B, with amiable hosts in Debbie and John, clean well-decorated rooms, and excellent food. This Inn is across the street from William & Mary, and a 10 minute walk from Merchant Square. A great location. We would recommend A Williamsburg White House...
