Good location but needs hotel needs some cosmetic work. Pool did not have umbrellas outside and very small indoor pool was better but area needed cleaning. Breakfast was average. Location was good. Hotel was noisy and my junior suite for the week overlooked a dumpster.........
I just returned from a stay at this hotel. The location was close to restaurants and activities in Williamsburg and an easy drive to Busch Gardens. Our room was large, comfortable, and clean. It is a nice touch that there are both indoor and outdoor pools. The complimentary breakfast included fruit, cereals, yogurts, eggs, sausage, bagels, and waffles. It was plenty for our family. We were very satisfied with this hotel. Of note there isn’t a fridge in the room, but there is an ice bucket in the room and ice machines are available.
This hotel is in a great location. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast staff worked their butts off, and the indoor and outdoor pools were clean and comfortable. Definitely will stay here again.
Numerous small things added up to an early departure from this location. The air conditioner was so loud that every time it cycled on it woke us up. There was no clock in the room. The upholstered chair had so many spots on it, it looked like it was picked up off the street. The TV was such a small screen that we literally couldn’t see it from the bed. In a word, no.
The hotel location is great for the Williamsburg area however the amenities are not what I would hope. Read the description of what is offered to see what they have. There are no refrigerators in the room, the ice maker didn't work on all floors and they don't offer grab and go. The hotel elevators didn't work at all on Friday night and only one after that. The staff is very friendly and my issues were not their fault. They smiled when they said "sorry". The beds were a little harder than we would have liked and made it difficult to get comfortable. The ac was constantly on and off and loud.
Very fine hotel, centrally located to everything. Great staff. Clean, comfortable rooms. Excellent amenities. Staff appreciates us as Hilton rewards members. We highly recommend this hotel. It is always our first choice when traveling to Williamsburg.
I expect more out of a Hilton brand hotel but this Hampton Inn was mediocre at best. The staff was friendly but the amenities were lacking, the room didn’t have a microwave and a refrigerator. I thought these amenities were standard across the brand but apparently not. Definitely not worth the price.
Our stay was overall disappointing. If you aren’t worried about COVID and don’t mind eating only Trix yogurt for breakfast after taking a cold shower, this Hampton will work for you. Otherwise, look elsewhere. First off, the COVID protocols. Masks are not required and both staff and patrons are unmasked in busy common areas. Guests, all unmasked, insist on crowding into elevators with many other people. We were in town visiting elderly relatives and needed to be safe, so had to use the stairs the whole time to avoid both elevators and common areas (the stairs, thankfully, open to the outside on the ground level). Second, the breakfast was basically nonexistent; we masked up and braved the buffet at about 9 a.m. and were met with empty pans for everything. The only thing available was Trix-flavoured yogurt (really! I guess yogurt with real fruit was too expensive for them?) and some waffle batter with a huge line for it. We gave up — basically there is no breakfast included in your stay at this hotel. (At least not one with getting COVID for.) Hot showers are not guaranteed. At 8 a.m. one day we were fine. After 8:30, all bets are off, we found. Our room was fairly spacious but a bit beaten up around the edges. There were cracked tiles in the washroom and the light switch plates were cracked. The bathtub was clean, though, with no mildew.…
We had a great stay. The staff were very friendly, the room and hotel was clean and the breakfast was good. Had to drive to merchants square but was less than 10 min drive. Would stay here again. Thank you!
Had a reservation for 2 nights. Shortly after checking in water to the hotel was lost. After 12 hours of no water and updates saying any minute, they finally acknowledged that it would be another 12 hours. Net/net, water was off from Friday night until Sunday. This property had the audacity to offer only a 1 night refund and extra points. No other Hilton property would take us without paying more. We left after 1 night, of course. Not a great property overall, but this total lack of care for customers is amazing. Avoid this hotel at all costs.
