They’re open again!!! We’ve stayed here many times and missed it during Covid…so happy to be back. Check-in was fast and easy, and our room was spotless. Breakfast is extremely sanitary but very good. Fresh fruit (the strawberries were delicious) is in individual cups, muffins are bagged, and paper bags are available to carry your meal. We chose to not have our room cleaned during our stay, but housekeeping gave us fresh towels and extra lotion. This hotel is right next to the visitor center, so it’s a equivocal walk or ride to the historic area. Highly recommend!
The hotel was clean. The staff was friendly. The continental breakfast was very good. While we didn’t use the pool, many families were enjoying it during our stay. It is right by the shuttle and also has a beautiful trail (about 1/2 mile) right to the Governor’s Palace in ColonIal Williamsburg. We will definitely stay here again if we come back.
Such a great experience wonderful staff and convenient location to the shuttle for a perfect experience of Colonial Williamsburg! Very family oriented! Would definitely recommend this location very clean and beautiful outside!
Mostly everything thing in this hotel is either broken or old. Way overpriced for what you get. I would not recommend anyone staying here unit the building is updated. Breakfast was just jimmy dean’s product put in the microwave.
Damp musty and moldy smelling rooms with few modern amenities ie USB outlets or a microwave. The tub/shower faucet did not adjust water temp properly. The hotel had been closed for 2 years due to Covid and just reopened 4 months ago. They should have spent the time updating the rooms.
This hotel is too dog friendly. A dog bit my 6 year old son in the hallway on our way to breakfast. And before you jump to conclusions, no, he did not antagonize the dog. We were literally walking past the room when the dog ran out between the owners legs and immediately attacked my child. Multiple housekeepers witnessed this. Not once did a manager of the hotel apologize or reach out to me. Felt like my family was under prioritized compared to those with dogs.
We stayed for 2 nights for a quick visit of the town on our way South. Had a great time, the room was very comfortable and clean, and quiet! Front desk staff very helpful! Also, since I booked on the Colonial Williamsburg site, we got 2 complimentary tickets emailed to me for us to use to see the Governor’s Palace, and Capitol. It included other things we didn’t have the time to do, but saving that $93, plus the free breakfast, made the room fee so worth it! It was our first time back there since going with our own different families as kids, and we can’t wait to go again! Don’t miss Jamestown as well if you love history and archeology! They’re constantly finding more historical treasures.
The staff greet you with welcome back this resort has been remodeled, the complimentary breakfast has everything and Covid-19 protection with individual choices breakfast sandwiches, fruit, bread, snack bars, cereal, eggs, orange juice, milk, coffee, and plenty of other things. It’s worth the money.
The hotel is conveniently located and integrated with the Colonial Williamsburg overall experience. Our check in experience to our one night stay was very good, the staff was friendly and provided us with very valuable information to make the best out of our stay. The rooms were spacious and well cleaned. The bed was confortable. The breakfast room is very pretty and offers outdoor seating, but considering the hotel’s price point, I felt disappointed with the options available and the fact they use disposable utensils, cups, and plates. I would have enjoyed a hot food item offer like the regular scrambled eggs, or regular cheese in the bread station.
There were things pre covid that are missing now that would make me not want to come back to this hotel. The breakfast now doesn't have fresh items made it's all now prepackaged food. No more bacons eggs and biscuits and gravy. There is no shuttle to Busch gardens now and the restaurant is closed which we were looking forward to.
