We stayed for most of the week at Hampton. It's right on the main road of Williamsburg, so it's convenient to everything. Rooms were very clean, and the staff very friendly. We liked the table in the room to put our stuff on as we came in the door. Very good water pressure! The breakfast selection was not the greatest, but I wouldn't deduct a star for it.
We stayed here for 5 nights, before meeting up with the rest of our family for 5 more days at a nearby B&B. The facility is clean and well-maintained. Our check-in was efficient; and the staff, throughout our stay, were helpful and responsive. Our room provided a comfortable retreat during our stay. Two issues, a clogged sink and a non-functioning phone, were both addressed efficiently. A requested cleaning of our room, halfway through our stay, was missed; but taken care of the next day. The breakfasts were varied and satisfying; with the breakfast staff keeping items stocked pretty well, and keeping the eating area clean & ordered. (We know the limitations due to covid, but we look forward to the coffee service being available again at Hampton Inns 24/7). The location of this facility is central to much of what Williamsburg has to offer re shopping/dining/attractions. This is a solid option, if one is staying in the area. …
Avoid this hotel. The first room that was assigned to me was right next to the elevator shaft. It is a mystery why a room would be placed here. Needless to say my family was treated to the noise of an elevator every few minutes. To their credit, the hotel allowed me to change rooms. It wasn’t any better. The walls are paper thin and my family was entertained all night by the rowdy group next door. No one next door slept and neither did we. The free breakfast is standard stuff. Huge line to make waffles, mediocre hot food, minimal cereal and fruit selection. Bagels ran out & I waited 15 minutes for more to be brought out & finally gave up. Don’t stay here. You’ll regret it.
The room was very nice. It was decorated beautifully & the bathroom was very up to date. The beds slept good. My only complaint is that the beds are too high, especially if you are short & it is hard to get into. The breakfast looked ok but it was not what we were looking for so we went out & ate. The staff was very friendly & attentive. I would definitely stay here again.
The hotel was clean, bed comfortable. Breakfast wasn’t good. There were no choices for eggs, western omelettes were there 2 days. We think there should have been a choice or least scrambled. There was no bread for toast. Coffee was good. Workers were pleasant.
A very accommodating Hampton Inn. Attentive staff, clean rooms, quiet atmosphere. Breakfast as expected, but not quite back to pre pandemic variety Many restaurants nearby. Grateful for allowing us early access to our room on a day when the weather was uncooperative. Would definitely return.
Hotel is clean and close to everything. Had to call to have someone come to the front to check in but they may have been in restroom. Breakfast was ok. Waffle maker, cereal, yogurt, sausage, juice and coffee. Beds were hard, not comfortable at all. And the biggest issue was we were in 213 room is next to the elevator and it kept us up all night you actually hear the elevator through the walls go up and down...loud. so make sure you request a room far from elevator
At check-in we were told they had the reservation but for different dates. Despite me showing a confirmation email and even calling central reservations that confirmed my actual dates to the desk employees they couldn’t just change the dates and give me the confirmed rates. It was surreal that their system couldn’t connect correctly with the online reservations system and no one could manually override a thing. I will say one worker tried her best and understood the problem but she eventually had to leave as her shift ended. This was an hour into trying to check in. The manager who arrived was completely incompetent and couldn’t comprehend what the problem was and continually said the dates wrong. Another hour went by before we got a room. If this was in season we would not have had a room. I lost a great deal of faith in the Hampton Inn brand because of this experience. I will avoid this hotel and brand in the future.…
I stayed at the property the last weekend of February 2022 for a soccer tournament. Arrived after 10pm but I checked in online and had the digital key on my phone (love this feature). The property has a lot of potential to be nice but needs major updating. The common areas need updating and a fresh paint color. I stayed in suit 430. The room needs updating from floor to ceiling. The bed was comfortable, no hallway noise, and the shower had great water pressure. The room was clean-ish but feels dirty because it has a dingy wall color, lighting, and furniture. If the room was updated I would stay at this property again and recommend it. Until then I would look for another hotel option. I had little interaction with the staff but everyone I spoke to was friendly and helpful. …
