DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT COVID. They do not offer housekeeping or follow any COVID precautions. Once you pick it up from their resort, they only tell you sorry and there’s nothing that can be done.

We just returned from this property and were disappointed due to the many ongoing maintenance and construction projects. We were told that the indoor pool and jacuzzi were unavailable prior to our arrival. No big deal, we didn’t plan to use them. We were not told that during our stay the sidewalk would be jack hammered out around the pool, splash pad, playground and our accommodation. The activity areas were unusable due to the demolition noise, which lasted until 6PM. The entrance to our building and parking areas were taped off limiting access overnight. We checked out the next day. We would never have reserved a villa had we known of the planned construction. Our one bedroom villa was clean, spacious and well appointed. We had been enjoying a wonderful stay prior to the construction, but it is doubtful that we will return.

Stayed here 2 nights in late April. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Limited services, but we knew that well in advance. Very good value. Located in a very nice area and near everything. First time stay and it exceeded my expectations. Frequently travel the I95 corridor and this is now our go-to stop over. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing time here with our family on a trip to Williamsburg. I wouldn't stay anywhere else! Perfect for children and parents alike. Three pools, basketball courts, tennis courts, giant checkers and all sports gear can be checked out at the activities center for free (tennis rackets, basketballs, tennis balls, etc.) We had a wonderful time!

This is a magnificent property from the minute you drive in, you will know you are at a resort. The two-bedroom Villas are well-appointed, spacious, and clean. They easily accommodate a family with 4 children under 8. Plenty of room for everyone to sleep and play! The kitchen is very well stocked making meal prep easy with a table that seats six. They have both an indoor and outdoor pool, a restaurant bar, bicycle rental, and a playroom with ongoing activities - all within steps of registration. Great walking paths and golf is available too. We have spent a week here (during summer and/or winter) for the past 5 years. We hate to leave and can't wait to come back. You will not be disappointed as it is close to numerous sites and excursions, yet there is plenty to do on-site as well! *You can always politely decline the time share presentation - but once you atay here...I bet you will want to come back.

We can’t love Fords Colony Marriott more . You could spend a week just at this resort and never be bored. The grounds are beautiful and the running / walking trails are wonderful. Only tiny complaint is they try to sell you a timeshare.. but that comes with Staying in a timeshare resort. We will never stay anyway else again.

Wow! Might be the greatest place I ever stayed! That might not be saying much BUT this place checked all the boxes for what my family was looking for. A two bedroom stay was exactly the right amount of space for my family of four to feel home away from home. Our place was CLEAN, spacious and super comfortable. We visited colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. Both were extremely easy to get to from here. We also tripped out to VA Beach one day. This is the place to stay when visiting Williamsburg. My inlwas stayed in a one bedroom unit and it was so fun to take turns hosting dinner (fully equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare whatever). The pool is great for the kids and even the outdoor heated pool was available in 40 degree weather (it's warm enuf for kids.... they don't know better). Service was outstanding as well. If you're looking to stay in something upscale without breaking the bank and be convenient to everything the area has to offer....THIS is the place.

Stayed at Ford's Colony for a couple of nites. On our last nite we received a text saying that the office knew about the lack of water pressure in the Jefferson and had called Engineers to fix the problem. On the morning of our check out, still no hot water. I went to the reception desk and asked if they had any idea when the water would come back on... They said the nite crew had left at 0600 and left a note saying that the water wasn't back yet and that another repair person was coming later in the morning. I said that I guess that means no shower today... The person behind the counter said that I could shower in the exercise room if I wanted. In retrospect, I should have walked through the main lobby wearing a towel, as that is the only way to get to the excercise room. The reception person then said that she point out the problem to the manager, when they get in !! and see if anything could be done. When, I checked out at 1000, I don't believe that manager but the reception person assured me that the manager would text me......... crickets....

As a MVC owner for nearly 20 years with Lifetime Titanium Elite status we were disappointed in the process for villa placement. Upon arrival, we were told that due to our status we were available for expedited check in (possibly not the actual term used). I was greeted nicely by the concierge and was checked in. Along with the sales pitch to view the property, check in took less than 10 min - I was happy with that. Upon driving to our villa location, I was not happy. We had visited this property 10+ years ago and had a fabulous experience including the extraordinary architecture of the buildings - very much like beautiful colonial mansions. That was one of the main reasons my wife and I wanted to return to this location for our anniversary trip and enjoy the cold weather with a beautiful setting, nice views and rooms with a fireplace. I am very familiar with the different priced settings based on our beach ownership (ocean vs. garden view, etc.), so I was surprised that we were given the back side of the property. The prime buildings are referred to as Manor’s, the back side as Commons - both likely time-period references, but the Commons describes the look and feel of the building - very much a common hotel. The parking lot also appears to be shared with the employee parking - not a problem, but I have never been to a resort where this has been a practice. The room was nice, but as we noticed walking in, it was a 1 bedroom. We had traded thru Interval International (II) our 2 b/r unit (due to Covid cancelation a year ago). I called the consigner and asked about changing rooms - she said she was 1. unable to do that, 2. not sure why the front desk had sent me to her for check in, 3. come to speak with the front desk. I came back down to the front desk and requested a villa in one of the Manor buildings - I was told that b/c this was booked thru II they could do nothing, but I could call II. That did not seem like an option that would result in anything, so I asked about the unit being a 1 b/r vs. 2 b/r. I stated that we did not need the 2 b/r and asked if there was anything smaller in a Manor building. My thought was that middle of winter would not be a high demand time and there would be plenty of room availability. The young woman at the front desk said that they had screwed up my check in. But, instead of looking for an option, she described that she would reprogram the key so I could get into the lock off room next to the main room. She also gave me documentation about my Bonvoy points that had not been previously given to me. The last benefit that she said had been forgotten was a coupon card for up to 6 rounds of golf. That was a very nice benefit - OH WAIT... it's January, it's below 30º F, the greens are covered for protection, there was a snowstorm coming in and the course will be closed until maybe the end of our week - if the rest of the process was not so frustrating, the free golf may have been funny, but it was not - just seemed a bit tone deaf. Our room is fine, we will enjoy our time here, but every time we drive in and out of the property past the beautiful Manor’s to come to the Common's, it will remind me of the poor treatment of a 2nd generation "all in" Marriott fan who is raising a 3rd generation of Marriott fans. I trust this is not the direction things are headed.
