The hotel I stayed at in Williamsburg during my last visit wasn't available, so I read reviews and chose the Sleep Inn Historic. I am very happy with my choice. The location felt safe. It is right next to a Comfort Inn, right behind Golden Corral, and right next to a Cracker Barrel. A Mexican restaurant was across the street. A Chipotle was just over the bridge. The air conditioner in my room worked well; there was a constant fan option. The TV, wifi, and fridge all worked. My room only had a shower; the water was nice and hot. Breakfast included donuts, muffins, cereal, waffles, toast, yogurt, bagels, fruit, juice, coffee, eggs, and sausage. The only negative of my stay was the very soft mattress, but I slept OK. If I visit Williamsburg again, I would most likely stay here again.

The room was very nice, quiet, and clean. Breakfast was very good with Hot choices. We initially asked for another room because the first's rooms air conditioner was noisy, it rattled when coming on. They obliged. You can't hardly see the hotel from the main road so look for a road between the Golden corral and Cracker Barrel and it's down that access road from there.

Well, I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. A 4 star review is a 4star review. You can say the same for our location. Nice beds, good breakfast, and comfort. That's us. We appreciate the review. Um, although it's not for this hotel. Best, Andre Hill Assistant General Manager Sleep Inn 757-259-1700

My family stayed on the third floor. We actually chose to just use the stairs since the elevator was on one end of the hotel and our room was on the opposite. It was convenient since the stairs let out at the back parking area and we were always able to find a park. The room was very clean, I have no complaints about that. The beds were comfortable, the mini fridge worked great, and we always had towels. I did opt for the partial room service, they will ask you at check in. That worked just fine, we had clean towels and trash was emptied. That's really all we need. Pool was okay, we didn't use as much as we thought we would, but that was due to other guests being extremely loud. Breakfast was nice. It included waffles, eggs, sausage, 2 types of cereal, juice, small muffins, yogurt and prepackaged oatmeal. It was good enough for us and got us going in the morning. All things considered, I would absolutely stay here again. It was clean and safe and a good location.

Dear Mrs. Layman, Thank you for staying with us. We appreciate your business. When we spoke on Friday April 22, 2022 you said if we didn't compensate you that you would go on all social media and shame us into giving you money back. It's good to see you kept your promise. However, your room was inspected after you checked out by our General Manager and our pest control company and we could not corroborate your findings of any roaches or bugs in your room. We take all of our guest concerns very seriously and in this case we could not find any bugs. It still stands, we will not be offering any type of compensation. We hope you have an awesome summer. Thanks again. Best, Andre Hill Assistant General Manager Sleep Inn 757-259-1700

Stayed here one night while visiting the Williamsburg area. The location was great for exploring the area with plenty of shops and restaurants around. The staff was friendly and there were plenty of breakfast options. The hotel isn’t fancy and it’s older, but seems well maintained and price and location are right.

With the budget-friendly price, I didn't expect to like this hotel as much as I did. The room is basic, building is old but clean and comfortable. There was a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker in the room. The breakfast was mostly pastries and coffee, but packaged omelets and yoghurt were available. I appreciated the fresh fruit (apples, bananas and oranges) with prepackaged peanut butter, since I have a gluten allergy and can't have most continental breakfast offerings. The most exceptional thing about this hotel is their staff. Friendly, helpful and seemingly happy in their jobs. We will be coming back.

The location of the complex is close to the city center and is very well positioned. Welcoming with a smiling face and the attention of the staff towards the guests are pleasing. The beds are very comfortable, everything you may need in the room is available.

My husband and I were passing through Virginia and stumbled upon this hotel for the night. It was clean, affordable, and served our needs. The man at the front desk was informative and polite, he gave us dinner options for the area. We would stay here again if we travel this way. I will say that as much as my husband and myself loves kids (we have 4 grandchildren) that some customers who come to stay with their families should keep their children on their best behavior. I’ve never been one to speak against children but they were unruly and loud. I felt bad for the hotel staff. Otherwise, our stay was perfect! You can bet your bippy we will be back.

We stayed at this hotel after enjoying a day of sightseeing and going to Busch gardens. The hotel itself was clean, the rooms were nice, and the breakfast was better than other hotels for what we got ( covid times). I found the staff pleasant and attentive. My family and I will definitely be back. The children enjoyed the pool during the day.
