We enjoyed our visit at the Anderson B&B! We stayed in the garden suite and were more than happy with the accommodations. We loved the antique furnishings and lovely gas fireplace. The updated bathroom was great too! Breakfast included sausage, pancakes, fresh fruit and yogurt. Katherine was a lovely lady who prepared our breakfast and a friendly advisor on local...

The Anderson Cottage is a very special place. More than 200 years old and filled with antiques, it has a unique personality that has drawn us to return for 25 years. We particularly enjoy the two spacious suites on the ground floor, with ample sitting areas and private baths. Outside, the long wraparound porch, gardens, sweeping lawn, and bubbling creek...

Nestled in a grand valley with a spacious backyard and gurgling stream, this is the perfect retreat for dreaming. The antique furnishings are rich, breakfast is great and life there is easy, but Anderson Cottage has more soul than the typical B and B. It feels like coming home. You'll look forward to returning, as I do!

My fly fishing pal and I were looking for a new 'base.' This is it. We each have a bedroom. Breakfast each day. Walk to the Waterwheel Restaurant - best food in Warm Springs Valley. Streams everywhere.

I stayed at the Anderson Cottage a few times over the years and am consistently charmed by the house itself, the gorgeous blue ridge mountain surroundings, and the family that runs it. The house has a warm rustic feel to it, and I love the giant wrap around porch, which is the perfect place to plop down with a book,...

Warm atmosphere--tasteful, casual décor blends with lovely traditional furnishings. Rooms--spacious, comfortable, some with kitchens, all with easy access to the main house. Staff is excellent. Moreover, a place 'out of time,' this meant in the best sense; even truer, a place that recalls memories of the home from your own past--or the home that you wish that you had had....

First, Anderson Cottage is pet-friendly. Part of the charm for me is sitting on the hammock and throwing a stick for my border collie and knowing he can step into the burbling stream behind me and get cool. Then I dry him off and we go upstairs in the Kitchen Cottage to our bedroom, sitting room and kitchen which is...

We stayed at the Kitchen Cottage of the Anderson Cottage while attending a conference in nearby Hot Springs (5 mi.) The Kitchen Cottage is detached from the main house, but is right next door as it was the original kitchen for the main house. It easily sleeps 4-6 with two baths and a comfortable seating area. The downstairs is a...

My husband and I stayed at Anderson Cottage for a weekend getaway a few years ago. We found Jean, our host, to be engaging and knowledgeable of the area and local history/lore. Growing up as a local to the area, I have always admired Anderson Cottage and its rich history, and thoroughly enjoyed staying there with my husband on this...

We loved this place. It reminded me of many of the old tudor farmhouses I stayed at in England as a child, from the wide beamed oak floor boards to the antique chests, cozy hallways & copies of Nature Conservancy on our bedroom endtable. Relaxing & in a very peaceful setting. Our hostess joined us for breakfast, a nice touch...
