My husband and I stayed for initially 2, but eventually 3 days. Every interaction with an employee was stellar! We want to send a special shout out to Diane Banks from the cafe in particular. She was exceptionally nice and gave several tips about where to go and what time businesses shut down for the day. Also, to the front desk clerks, I am sorry I did not get their names, but suffice it to say, I had to reach out a couple of times and each one was as gracious and helpful as the last. This staff seems to get the fact that we have choices and appreciate the fact that we chose their establishment. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that parking is free in the attached parking garage, that the gym is available 24 hours a day and that we could stream our Netflix account on the 55 inch tv in the room. Would not hesitate to stay here again!…
From the fabulous lobby with water wall & glass staircase to friendly greetings from all the staff members (wanted to see pics of our new grandson) to the super clean public areas and the disinfected upscale room with a view. Even Diane running the Starbucks in the lobby was extra nice. Excellent stay. Highly recommend! Free covered parking!
Booked this Westin stay having stayed at numerous Westins and lookin forward to the "Heavenly Bed". The bed that we had in our room was terrible, the worst I've encountered in years. It was impossible to sleep on because of the deep trough in the middle, the lack of any support as well as the mattress being tilted so much that your feet were above your head and (no lying) you slid into the headboard. We tried to sleep upside down and move the mattress on the floor. WORTHLESS. The most important thing I look for in a hotel room is a good night's sleep. Told management the next day and all they could say was that it was a shame.
We stayed here and love the fact that there is a parking deck as part of the hotel. The room was what you would expect in a older hotel, but still nice. I liked that this place is downtown and centered in the middle of a bunch of great restaurants and stores. Would stay again.
Four things that you would like to work in a hotel: toilet, sink, shower/tub and thermostat. This hotel got 1: the shower, although the plumbing repair was not very impressive. If the top floor is supposed to have the best rooms, I shudder to think what the rest of the hotel rooms are like. As a Marriott Bonvoy life time Titanium member, I certainly anticipated a better room. While this hotel is supposedly a Category 5 hotel, it is closer to a Category 2 or 3. Only its location justifies a Category 3 rating. Maintenance has obviously been deferred for many years and all of the problems are more closely associated with a 50 year old property, not a 13 year old property. The sink took 30 seconds to drain after 3 attempts to fix it. The toilet tank failed to refill after flushing 1 time out of 5 and the thermostat, while complicated never got the temperature down to the assigned temperature.…
