Right after booking our room the Comfort Suites emailed to inform us of an inconvenience on the 1st floor of the parking garage. It proved to be no problem but it was great to be told ahead of time.The suite itself has 2 rooms which was very nice in case one was more sleepy than the other.The shower was walk in and big. The breakfast area was large and nice with a view of the ocean. We saw dolphins most mornings. Stephanie was friendly and helpful! Turkey sausages were a pleasant surprise. Laundry was only $1.50 to wash and $1.00 to dry.
As was Stephanie in the breakfast area, everyone we dealt with was very helpful and always greeted us when seen. We did stay in February when things were not nearly as busy so it ws unhurried and quiet. Subway, McDonalds,Taco Bell, Wendy's and Burger King were all very close. The purpose of the stay was to visit Pat's father in an assisted living home.

Stayed for 2 nights at this oceanfront hotel. Had a balcony with an amazing view, even during the winter! Super location and the staff was so very helpful and nice. Erin gave me a great recommendation to go on a boat for a whale-watching tour since it was migration season, and it was a great idea! I saw lots of whales and dolphins, thank you Erin for taking the time to give me recommendations!
Not 5-stars, as the breakfast was just ok, I'd recommend going off-site, and even though the room looked renovated, there were stains on the furniture fabric in the living area and housekeeping never replenished the toiletries or coffee items my 2nd day. But these small things won't stop me from returning again. Thank you Comfort Suites for a peaceful relaxing weekend.

My sister and I decided we both needed a break from life. I emailed Christina, the manager and inquired about Covid changes and room availability. She reassured us that necessary steps were being taken to clean and what services were altered for safety reasons. We booked our suite directly through her. We booked a double bed suite so that my sister and I each had our own bed. We were on the 9th floor and the view from the balcony was AMAZING. Within a very short time after check-in Christina reaches out to let us know that if we needed anything at all to just let her know. Later in the day when we were ready to grab something to eat she gave us a couple of recommendations for where to go and not to go.
We did everything we wanted to do. We went into the ocean which surprisingly was not too cold, we went fishing off the pier which is in walking distance, we walked the boardwalk, watched the dolphins swimming in the ocean, horses giving rides along the coastline, and my sister got to use her metal detector. We also met some nice people on the beach. Everyone left plenty of space between others.
For safety reasons there was no daily maid service which was fine with us. Whenever we needed something we just had to ask.
I can’t wait to return, this is my go-to spot in Virginia Beach.

The hotel is in a great location right on the boardwalk with a terrace facing the ocean. The front desk girls are friendly. Check in was easy and it’s less crowded in the hotel and on the beach during the week. The problem is only one elevator works and it took a while to get on it. It was ok for two nights, but if I was here longer it would be a problem. The room was big with a living room and kitchen in one room and the bedroom in another. The mattress was hard, not comfortable at all so we didn’t sleep well. Turndown is garbage removal, and towel service upon request. The beds are not made. Breakfast is grab n go bags.

Unfortunately, this is outside of the control of the hotel and in the hands of the third party we contract to maintain and repair our elevators. It seems that location and availability of parts during this global pandemic are causing this process to take a little longer than normal. Additionally, the modifications to housekeeping service and breakfast are directly due to the pandemic. Where to begin... I will say, the service from the front desk staff was great, they are just working with a broken hotel. First of all, it took forever for us to be checked into our room- over 2 hours after standard arrival time. The elevator was very slow and had NO ventilation system running. The fan is broken, and we usually opted for the stairs (which also had no ventilation system, but it was faster). Our room was nice at first glance; the furniture looks clean, the bed was comfortable. In the room, the doors leading to the balcony in the bedroom was rotted at the bottom and air from the outside flowed freely. There was absolutely no sound-proofing with the glass, so when someone decided to blast rap music at 1am on the boardwalk, my husband and I were woken with a start and could not get back to sleep until the person moved on down the beach. We could here conversations on the boardwalk from our 3rd floor room with the doors shut and towels wedged at the base. No difference. The AC worked, but was very loud. We had to get new sheets for the hide-away bed because when we opened it, it was clear the sheets had not been changed during room cleaning, as there was sand all over it. The shower, had to be angled dramatically as if you wanted to stand anywhere but right against the wall, it would leak all over the bathroom floor. We had to use 4 bath towels to mop up the mess after my husband took a quick shower. For the rest of the stay, we had to be extra cautious. The breakfast room was clean, but we did not realize there would be no waffles this time. They offered breakfast sandwiches, but the microwaves provided did not have any visible indicators of time or how you were setting it. You had to guess, and either ended up over or undercooking it. The coffee was adequate at best. We opted to go to a restaurant the first day, and when we sucked it up the second day, opting for cereal & frozen milk, all we heard from other guests were complaints similar to our own, watching people leave empty handed as we did. I get that COVID has done a number on the industry, both with funding and staffing. However, we have stayed in this hotel before multiple times and it has gotten progressively worse each time. It is unlikely that we would return to this hotel after this stay.

We normally stay in a different oceanfront hotel, but it was full because we booked at the last minute. So ended up staying here for a few nights with family, in a two-double-bed suite. First, the positives: The A/C worked great in our room, and had no trouble maintaining 73 degrees, in fact we bumped it up to 75 as it was getting too chilly at night. The rooms are dated but relatively clean. The staff we interacted with were all very professional and attentive to our needs. There were well working ice machines on multiple floors. The hotel has a gym on the 4th floor with great ocean view, multiple treadmills, weights and other equipment, located next to a breakfast area. There is a covered parking with an illuminated swimming pool on top. You get one parking space per room. The negatives: The elevators take forever to arrive. The staircase is dimly lit and poorly ventilated. The carpet in the common areas is dirty and torn. The parking garage has 6 foot or so height restriction, so if you have a tall car or a roof carrier, be aware that there are only a handful of parking spots on the first floor that might be able to accommodate your car, subject to availability. Our room was missing a light bulb in a floor lamp. The balcony is nice, but window frames are all rusted with flaking paint. The water pressure in the shower is not very high, so it was an effort to get all the sand off one's person, and it was definitely impossible to get the sand off the floor of the shower itself. Aside from the very attentive ladies serving packaged food in the breakfast room, none of the staff were wearing masks (nor were any of the guests.) The beach-side entrance is a small door that leads into the parking garage and elevators, with an outdoor shower on the wall next to it. It was great to have this shower when it worked, unfortunately it was poorly attached and seemed to have broken 3 times during as many days, each time being fixed in very amateurish ways. Definitely expected better upkeep of the facility for the price charged.

We booked this hotel for a get away vacation and to take my Nephew to the beach as hes never been to the ocean before. We contacted the property when we booked and discussed an early check in and was assured it would not have been an issue. I told them id be there around 11:00A.M. We arrived a little earlier than anticipated and the lady at front desk told us it would be a bit. She took our name and phone number and waited for her to call us. We was given a pass key to have access to the bathrooms and pool. After waiting for close to 4 hours i was considering either coming back home or going to another hotel. We requested a room from the 4th floor or lower as i have knee issues and cant walk alot of stairs. Add to this issue they had a elevator down during our stay there. The lady told us the reason it was taking so long was because rooms had to be Double Cleaned due to the Covid 19. When i informed her that i wasnt interested in staying there i was going home because i was tired of waiting a room on the 2nd floor was suddenly available. We got into the room and if thats a double cleaning they need to go back to learning how to clean. The carpet had trash all over and the bathroom shower had mold forming inside it. Also the door on the shower did not close properly so the shower ran on to the bathroom floor creating a slip hazard. Sitting on the Balcony trying to put the horrible situation behind us after cleaning up a room that was to have been DOUBLE CLEANED we ended up getting smoked out by other guest around us smoking weed. then another guest above us was urinating over the balcony and coming in on us sitting on the balcony. The lady working in office when you went down there was horrible last night there we went out for a bite to eat came back no parking i asked her if they had a overflow lot she got extremely rude and told me to wait for someone to move or her to get off to get a space.

upon check-in we were greeted by Lisa who told me that she had upgraded our room to a corner room (Platinum status) so that we could enjoy the sunrise while still in bed. That was a total surprise. The room was beautiful, the breakfast grab and go bags were good and the Coffee was Wonderful. Lisa also suggested a nearby restaurant for dinner within walking distance. The restaurant was so good that we had dinner there twice . Still not comfortable (COVID-19) eating inside we got our meals to go. We were given individual bottles of hand sanitizer upon arrival. we also walked on the beach and Boardwalk.

We were here for vacation. The front desk was very helpful, directing us to good restaurants and places to pick up those forgotten items. The rooms were clean. Due to CoVid they weren't doing daily housekeeping but they had a system for you to request clean towels and trash pick up. The usual breakfast was not available but they had made up take away bags with a variety of breakfast items drinks and fruit

This hotel is right on the boardwalk overlooking the beach. The hotel is definitely older and could use some TLC on the outside, but our room was spacious and clean. We chose this hotel because the bedroom is separate from the sitting area. Since we were staying for 4 nights it was nice to have the extra room. We enjoyed the balcony overlooking the boardwalk. You could tell it was an older hotel that had some issues, but I would still recommend staying here if you want a spacious place to stay. Every single staff member we met went out of their way to be be friendly and helpful. The breakfast area definitely could be improved; they needed more help and equipemnt like an additional toaster, coffee pots etc to keep up with so many guests. This hotel is in the center of the boardwalk which is nice if you want to walk to both ends. There are many restaurants and shops within walking distance so no need to even move your car. If you have young children, be forewarned that the pool is not ideal for little ones. It goes from 4 to 8 feet, and there are no steps to enter the pool, just a ladder. A sign in the room said housecleaning would come after 3 days, however this was incorrect. If you want your room cleaned you must request it. They will happily replace towels and you can leave your trash bags outside your door. All rooms have outside entrances.

Yes. If you were not already charged , depending on how you made you reservation, there is a $15/day resort fee. However, parking for one car and free hot breakfast are included with your reservation.

Non smoking, balcony
We only had a view of the ocean from the living room and none from the bedroom. Maybe your room has an ocean view on both rooms because it’s a Junior Suite Penthouse. But I’m just guessing. I hope that helps.
