The staff were kind and helpful. The food service is great. It was nice to be in a place with the feeling of God. The grounds are beautiful. For a hilton honor member, I was able to leave 2 hours later because I want to have the Valentines Day Brunch! I am sure it is great because I was here at Christmas and the brunch was wonderful! The only complaint I have is that I had an angry next door neighbor. He was banging and screaming at me through the door. I dont know what I did. I was afraid to answer the door. Then he continued through the middle of the night banging on the wall with his fist. It scared my cat. I didnt want to complain just in case he took it out on the staff or me. Great place though!
The staff was amazing! My daughter selected The Founders Inn and Spa to celebrate her 8th Birthday and the staff made our stay very special! When booking my stay the reservation agent Dorothy was very informative. She made us feel extremely confident regarding traveling during covid. Not only did she inform me of the extra measures the hotel is taking to keep their staff and guests safe, she also updated me with current things to do in the area! Upon checking in Kaitlyn at the front desk was very accommodating! She greeted us with a welcoming smile, and swiftly checked us in! The room was amazing! We received an upgraded room which made my daughter day even more special! The housekeeping staff did a remarkable job cleaning our room! The room was clean and fresh, and all the amenities I requested were placed in the room upon arrival. One of my daughter favorite things to do at the Founders is spend a day at the pool! After getting settled in, we headed to the pool to be greeted by extremely friendly staff! The pool attendant Kane welcomed us with a huge high-spirited smile! I was very impressed how attentive the lifeguard was! Upon checkout the bellman Chris assisted us with our luggage, and he thanked us for our stay! My daughter is still talking about how much fun she had! Thank you for making my daughter 8th birthday special! …
If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would! I actually work for Hilton and chose this place for a little getaway trip with my fiance and our two dogs. The historic, unmodernized feel is what really drew me to this place. I was not dissapointed! Upon arrival Nikolay checked me in & he was very kind and professional. At a later time, I interacted with Trevor & he also had a great attitude! Sarah was also very helpful on the phone when I called to inquire. They upgraded my room & put us right next to the exit door beside the dog park, PERFECT! My girls had such a great time running freely at their park! Being put in a pet room, I was worried there would be a small smell, NOPE! The room looked and smelled VERY clean as well as the lobby and common areas. The pool was also heated, LOVED that. This hotel was absolutely beautiful and I will certainly be back!…
Was looking forward to staying here. Lobby is nice but the rooms are old and tired. Historic means old. Nice upgrade so the room was much appreciated but the furnishings and the carpet are old and tired. However Emily in the restaurant was an absolute delightful employee and great brand ambassador. This is a great location and a beautiful property but seriously needs to be updated in the rooms. Gave it a four-star because of the service from Emily but the rooms are a three star.
This venue is beautiful for a wedding! Everything was perfectly orchestrated and the grounds are beautiful. The suite that we stayed in, however, was not so nice. The bathrooms were completely renovated and new, however, the bedroom and extra room with pullout sofa are very dated. The carpet is nasty and the room had a musty and smoky smell. Hilton should update these rooms and they would have a unique property.
