Hotel's Favourite
Room was really clean. We got an amazing service, all employees we discussed with or met were really nice. The huge safe was really appreciated! The breakfast was amazing, you could get anything you would want to eat for breakfast and the room where it was was large enough to accommodate everyone even when hotel is fully booked. I am travelling with my cat so also appreciated that housekeeping would not enter the room during stay. WiFi was easy to set up and use.

We took a quick mini trip to Virginia Beach and chose to stay at this Hampton Inn, on the North side of the Boardwalk, which is located right on the Beach. We were given room 404, which was a nice size room but does have a connected door to the next guest, which we did not care to have a connected room, otherwise, all was good with our room.
The Hotel was clean and with a modern decor all throughout, including in the Rooms. They put a sticker on the Door to let you know that once they cleaned your Room no one else was in the room, so it was Sanitized for each guest's stay. However, there is no daily Housekeeping for guests once given a room during the time of this Virus, but you can request Towels and things needed at the Front Desk.
The Bathroom had a really nice set of shelving to store your personal Toiletries, and plenty of water pressure and hot water, and the Towels were fluffy enough as well. The Oceanfront Private Balcony in the Room was a very nice feature and was clean and comfortable. The Beds were on the softer side, but were good enough to get a comfortable rest. The Room had a desk and comfortable chair, and some drawers to put your things in if you desired, but they are not big and deep drawer space, and there are also some hooks on the wall to hang your stuff up. The Room has a closet with an Iron and Board and a very nice big sized complimentary personal Safe to secure your belongings. The Room has a small mini Refrigerator and mini Microwave, which is good to have in the Room, along with a Coffee Maker. There are some Electrical outlets around on the Desk and also on the Bed side Table, with some USP Ports attached.
The Hotel has 2 Elevators but they are very slow. The Indoor Pool looks very nice but was closed due to the Corona Virus. The Hotel does continue to give you a Hot Breakfast where they change the menu each day, and they serve you the Hot Food behind a glass, and all other items you have access to on your own. The Staff were all friendly and accommodating towards Guests. The Hotel has a Restaurant and Bar connected to it, but it was closed due to the Virus.
Our overall stay was very good, and reasonably priced for the area and the convenience of the Hotel's location. We would stay here again if in the area and we do recommend it to others.

Hello DeoniaNeveu Thank you for sharing your thorough review! Overall, I am thrilled your visit was a wonderful experience and with our HAMPTONALITY touch. We are grateful for your patience with the limited amenities during this pandemic and I happy it did not impact your stay negativity. We were having challenges with our elevators and since last weekend we have repaired both to service guests quicker. Our pool and restaurant recently open and again, sincerest apologies you did not have the opportunity to enjoy both during your visit. We appreciate you taking time to evaluate us and we look forward to welcoming you back. Until then, take care of yourself and family. All my best, Ann Smith, Director of Sales

I’ve stayed at this property about 3 times over the past few years, however, obviously this was the first time staying during the pandemic. I can honestly say that I was very pleased and felt very safe at this hotel.
The rooms have been renovated since the last time I was there. Our room was very pleasant and clean. Of course we bought our own Lysol and wipes to disinfect our room, but the room appeared to be clean and was sealed with a sticker to let us know that no one has entered the room since it had last been cleaned.
The pool was closed, which was a bummer, but definitely understood. Breakfast was a bag breakfast, and you just tell them what you want and they’ll put it in a bag for you. All the staff was really nice and helpful and I truly enjoyed my stay. I hope to be back next year!!

We stayed at this property for our anniversary. We were surprised by the champagne and sweets that awaited us in our room. A card congratulating our occasion was a nice touch. We found the staff pleasant and welcoming. The entire hotel appears to have gone under a recent renovation since the furnishings, decorations and overall look appeared new, updated and clean. Our room was well situated with an ocean view. The property takes COVID-19 seriously. Masks are required by staff and guests and the rooms have tear away tape at each room door to indicate it was sanitized for each new stay. Nothing was out of sort. We thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing stay and would not hesitate to stay here again.

We chose this hotel because many reviews of other hotels in Virginia Beach mentioned that the rooms were dirty. The Hampton Inn was spotless and we were happy with our stay. Our room was on the fourth floor and the ocean views were excellent. It is near the Neptune Park, and there was outdoor music the weekend we were there, but it shut down early enough that it didn't bother us. The restaurant was a bit disappointing; mostly pizza with a few other dishes. The free breakfast is pretty good, hot eggs, potatoes or pancakes depending on what day you are there, and sausage. There are also the usual cereals, bagels and toast etc, plus coffee. There's an outdoor section to get away from the unmasked guests. The hotel is north of the area where there are big crowds and noise, but easy to walk to nearby restaurants etc. Four stars rather than five because we were there during Neptune weekend when they cranked up the prices to double the mid-week rates.

We had a good stay at this hotel. It was very clean and recently renovated. The room had plenty of storage, especially the bathroom, which was surprising and very much welcomed. The balcony is a decent size with two chairs and a side table with a sliding door. The air condition worked great and kept the room very cool. The front desk staff was very nice. In our opinion, this hotel is located in a great section of the boardwalk. We love the side door located on the south side of the hotel for easy access to the beach and side parking lot. Also, there is a playground on the beach right by this hotel. A complimentary breakfast is included with the stay here, but looked a little different. For breakfast, you go to the front desk and they put the items you want in a brown lunch bag (using gloves and wearing a mask), which consisted of milk, juice, Kellogg's cereal, breakfast bars, bananas, apples, yogurt, coffee, and water. They did have frozen breakfast sandwiches on 2 of the 6 days we stayed there. Two big disappoints for us were that the indoor pool and restaurant were not open. We asked the front desk staff why the indoor pool was not open when most hotels on the boardwalk had their indoor pools open and we were told it was due to the size of the pool. We understand they are just following the required guidelines. Facial coverings are required when in the hotel, but it is not enforced. We saw guests getting breakfast and riding the elevator without wearing a face covering. However, on our last 2 days, we saw signs posted in the elevator saying face coverings are required. We would also occasionally see staff members without a facial covering or one that was below their nose and/or mouth. We did not see hand sanitizer around, except for one afternoon, there was a hand sanitizer dispenser right by the elevator. I wish they would have kept a hand sanitizer dispenser right by the elevator. Overall, we had a good stay here and would highly recommend it.

Hi Amberly! Thank you for taking time to leave us your feedback. We are delighted to hear that you value the efforts we have put in place to ensure all guests and staff feel safe. We are also adjusting day by day operations on the best way to provide a great experience for our guests. We just recently reopened our breakfast area and we are offering a few hot items along with the continental breakfast you mentioned. With this said, we are also figuring the breakfast of the future as we sort through this pandemic. Overall, I am pleased it was a good visit despite of the environment we are all experiencing today. We look forward to seeing you again and until, please stay safe. All my best, Ann Smith

We stayed 10/1-10/4. I did a lot of research prior to the trip with the pandemic, I wanted to make sure we were safe yet could enjoy ourselves. This Hampton inn is one of the more updated ones I’ve stayed in. Property was very clean. Staff was doing their best to enforce the mask policy but still be kind and respectful. Check in was easy. The clean seal on the door was a nice touch to give you a little extra confidence that no one was in your room after housekeeping. The on-site parking is great. We never had an issue getting a spot. Staff was super friendly. Breakfast was different since they serve you but they did their best with having all the restrictions in place. Some more grab and go options would have been ideal but totally not something that would cause me to stay elsewhere. We never felt we were in any unsafe/unhealthy circumstances. Overall it was a great trip. COVID or not this will most likely be our preferred hotel in Va Beach going forward.

Located a little north on the strip next to King Neptune satute was a good spot on the beach for watching the sunrise from both our room and/or the beach with direct access and no clutter in front of us.
Stayed for our Anniversary to go Whale watching and enjoyed the comfort of the room overall.
Firm bed, but soft pillows so a little cumbersome for a good night sleep.
Staff was friendly and helpful, especially Rodney who suggest 2 restaurants for dinner

No issues were encountered with our stay at this hotel. It’s a great location from the beach with a thoughtful layout (pool with showers and complimentary towels to clean up after the beach before going up to your room). Staff was also very polite and allowed us to check-in early.

The check was great and fast, arrived at 3;00 was able to check-in , the room was clean but was advised no daily maid service was being offered and if room service was needed a 24HR call will be needed. WIFI was not connecting having to call the front desk to give me another number to call in which was the incorrect number to call for issues, was finally able to connect to WIFI. The bath shower had no water pressure. The view from the hotel was great and seeing the ocean was always good every morning . Breakfast was OK was minimal at best, egg omelets and sausge and cereal and fruit and tater tops and coffee and juice and pastries .
Work was being done to the 2ed floor area . Dinner at the hotel was Pizza only and a full bar.
