My son is in school near by and this is my go to place to stay when I come for a visit. The Inn keepers couldn't be nicer or more accommodating. Rooms are good size, very clean, nice linens and well appointed bathrooms. They cook a wonderful breakfast in the morning that is delicious! Urbana is a cute town and...

2 friends and I stayed at Atherston Hall the night before participating in the annual REStrong walk/run fund raiser for Virginia Commonwealth University's Massey Cancer Center. Judith was such a gracious hostess, accommodating us with a perfect early breakfast the morning of the event. This home is lovely and welcoming, and the rooms (upstairs suite and downstairs room) were beautifully...

My parents and I stayed at Atherston Hall during a recent spring weekend. I've stayed in many B&Bs in the US and the UK, and Atherston Hall out-does them all. Judith and Bill were very accommodating, meeting us warmly despite our later than planned arrival, and making breakfast earlier to reflect our schedule. The guest rooms are clean and fresh...

The upstairs suite is lovely and is very private. The bed, linens, and towels are all high quality. Breakfast was amazing (poached eggs with asparagus one morning and soft-scrambled eggs with bacon the next). Plus, there is homemade granola, fruit, coffee, pastries, etc. It was really special. There was absolutely nothing going on in the town when we went during...

We stayed at the Atherston Bungalow. What a beautiful and cozy home. Our hostess Judith was very gracious and gave us suggestions for nearby restaurants . Everything we needed was provided. Luxurious towels, food basket, coffee, cream, juice and water. This home is beautifully decorated and we would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable retreat.

A relaxing stay in a lovely home from home. Great breakfasts, lovely rooms, comfortable porch to chill, read or doz off. UIrbanna is a quiet town with good places to eat and some boutique shops. It is not far to walk to the water wher there is a marina.

We were in town to visit friends and needed a place to stay. They were full up but had a cottage on the outskirts of town. Wow!! It was a museum quality reproduction of an Arts and Crafts bungalow. What a place of beauty. We were there to visit friends so regrettably did not spend much time at the bungalow...

We stayed overnight Saturday, Labor Day weekend. I had been in contact with the owner, Judith, prior to our stay because I have family nearby. Then, after having an allergic reaction at my parents' house, I emailed Judith last minute Saturday morning to see if we could stay that same night. She emailed me back immediately. We couldn't have felt...

Atherston Hall is a little slice of England nestled near the banks of the Rappahannock River. The rooms in this house, which was built in the late 1800's, are named after counties in England and contain books to educate you about the respective county. I have, so far, stayed in all but 1 of the guest rooms at Atherston Hall...
