We spent several nights in a lodge room which was spacious, spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed with a great view of the marina and Pagan River. One feature we liked was that the bed faced the view. But there were some incongruities: there was no clock in the room because as the note said "you are on vacation", but they...

My husband and I spent an overnight at Smithfield Station for a quick weekend getaway and enjoyed our stay in the cute Marina Cottage, one of several that are right on the dock just outside the hotel. It had a little porch with Adirondack chairs that we unfortunately could not use due to the rain. While we enjoyed our visit...

We had a great experience in the Marina Cottage. Very comfortable. Adirondack chairs outside to relax and enjoy the view of the marina and the river. The trails of Windsor Castle park start directly across the road and are a beautiful nature walk. We did the longest loop -- almost 4 miles through woods, meadows, farmland, and marsh views!

I think that is the best thing about the cottages, being able to sit out on the boardwalk and enjoy the view of the marine and river, and very happy that you were able to enjoy. I also see that you got to go to the park, and do the full loop - congratulations !. We are very lucky to...

Great dinner and service with it. Paid full price to be able to choose my room. In other words, could have done better through another company that books - always an option if you just want to save money.

When building Smithfield Station the owners spared no expense to create a truly beautiful destination. Every detail from the floor up shows great care and expense. Fireplace, crown molding, beautifully tiled Jacuzzi tub bathroom, quality bed and bedding, balcony overlooking the marina and Pagan river and more. The restaurant is nothing less than incredible, I had the Cowboy steak and...

Stayed in the Capt Sinclair lighthouse suite. Room was luxurious. Light actually stayed on at night and kept the room dusky. Two headed shower was nice; fireplace kept the room warm. Only problems were that we ran a little short of hot water when we went to use the hot tub (after shower), and the room has only one chair....

Our visit to Smithfield Station was a special one. Our kitchen my room was nicely appointed and comfortable. Our room had a private balcony overlooking the marina which was very scenic. A short walk down the boardwalk led us to the hotel restaurant and an excellent dinner. Would recommend to friends and family and hope to return in the future.

My wife and I stayed overnight in Smithfield, VA last year and did not see Smithfield Station until we were leaving. I said that if we had an opportunity we should stay at the "Station". The opportunity presented itself this March so we happily booked a two night special, which included a room in the main building, champagne with chocolate...
