First, I travel constantly and stay in hotels between 75 and 100 nights a year. This has to be one of the worst hotels I've been in in a long time. It's clear why this is no longer a Hilton property - the cost to get it up to standards would be incredible. We stayed here for a soccer tournament...

The rooms were suitable and clean. Comfortable beds. The staff were super nice. They gave delicious cookies upon arrival! Their ice machine didnt work on my floor but overall it was a good overnight stay.

The hallways reek of cigarettes and marijuana. The rooms are dated and DIRTY. The bathrooms are disgusting and it took 3 room changes to get one with working heat! Stay far far away. The new hotel name is just Richmond Airport Hotel. Avoid this hotel!

Now called Richmond Airport Hotel. I don't know what caused the breakup with DoubleTree (Hilton). Still the closest hotel to the airport, right across the road! Our Delta flight was diverted to Richmond. We were issued hotel vouchers at 2AM were redeemed by all 150 passengers !!! The driver of the 10-passenger van made at least 15 trips and the hotel clerk was courteous, empathetic and efficient. I was so appreciative to have a bed and hot shower at 3:45am. The hotel staff made that possible...

Needed a place to stay, near the airport, during some of the coldest time of the year. Chose this place as I had early flight and they had a shuttle to the airport. TV's in room were great. New, HD reception. Everything else below average. Have learned the hotel is no longer a Hilton property.

This property is no longer a DoubleTree by Hilton hotel. It has been pulled from both the Hilton and DoubleTree websites. They also have a new policy to 'pre-authorize' charges (1 night's room and 'estimated' incidentals) to your credit card on the morning of your arrival, even though their cancellation policy is 6pm on the date of arrival. Have stayed here many times the night before an early flight out of Richmond. Staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable. Twenty four hour shuttle to airport is nice. Food in restaurant is good.

Dirt, hair, etc. on bedroom and bathroom floor. I do not think they had cleaned that part of the room. When I plugged my laptop into the lamp plug in to charge it I found the plug was not even connected. Someone had pulled it out and then no one had bothered to fix it. There is not enough hot water to take bath. When you report a problem to front desk, it was IGNORED. There were only two "almost gone" rolls toilet paper when I got there. When you go out of the room, there is no sign to show which way is to elevator, so make sure you remember which way you came...
