Everything you need in a small motel. Comfy, and clean. Dated, yes, but sometimes that's ok. The folks running this place are doing their best not to be a cliche out-of-date inn. And sometimes an effort is all you need.

My husband & I have been coming here several times for some adult quiet time. No its not fancy & does need a Lil cosmetic work but its a sweet lovely place. The owners are precious friendly people always with a smile. The price is very reasonable & I do & will recommend this place!!

We stopped just off the Blue Ridge Parkway and wasn't ready to enter the busy city so this place looked a little shabby but ok. For 47.95 we didn't expect a lot but it wasn't clean, it smelled like smoke even though it was non smoking, water took 5 min. to get warm. Just before we went to bed we... More

Tried 3 rooms; no toilets flushed properly; realized we could not stand that plus the funky smell The night clerk at least gave me a refund. We stayed at the Colony Motor Lodge-very pleasant-the manager there told me the Apple Valley is a "terrible place" If they cannot afford to make the necessary (albeit, expensive) renovations, they should close down.

This is the worst hotel I ever stayed at. There was no hot water and the few times I had hot water it was for literally 2mins. Not even enough time to wet your hair. They were rude they ran the hotel like a boarding home. The rooms were dirty the sheets were dirty and the shower was disgusting you... More

We were en-route to FL from PA. Since we planned on only staying overnight for a very short night to start out early on the Blue Ridge Pkwy, we didn't need a full hotel experience. This was $47 dollars total. We arrived and from the outside, it looked like it might be OK. Once I opened the door to the... More

Staff was nice. Room was run down and had bugs. Very old but in safe neighborhood. Windows had screens on second floor. Shower was so run down we didn't use it. It's cheap and you get what you pay for. Take a flashlight because there aren't any lights on steps to second floor.

The room was at a bargain price. It is one of those hotels that has been purchased by an Asian family, like so many older motels in the United States. The room was clean and we were comfortable. The room does not have a bathtub, but the shower was fine. The air conditioning was excellent. The bed was somewhat hard.... More

This is totally run down motel with horribly nasty rooms and uncomfortable bed. Bath was dirty and so the room. Carpet had big layer of dust. They offer rooms at very low rates but service you are getting is very poor. Do not take your children here. Just stay away.
