We stopped into Roanoke on our way to our honeymoon to have lunch. We loved everything about the area and decided to stay the night. We found this beautiful place and decided to take a look before calling. We were greeted by Lynn and Jim on the front patio and we knew then that this was the place we were...

We were on a tour of Virginia and the King George was our 3rd b&b. Each was different! The king George is beautiful with elegant and spacious rooms, we had our best nights sleep at the beautiful King George.Lynn is lovely, so welcoming and a real mother hen. (I appreciated the hugs) Jim is An absolute sweetie and we would...

The King George Inn is absolutely beautiful, both inside and outside. The rooms were huge with high ceilings. It is evident that owners Lynn and Jim take great pride in their bed and breakfast. Both were charming and the perfect hosts. Breakfast was also delightful, with a fruit and yogurt parfait, smoke salmon, seasoned eggs, and other sides. They provided...

Lynn and Jim Hunt welcomed us to their turn if the 20th century B&B with the enthusiasm of a favorite relative. Located in the Roanoke historic district, you can see the loving touches in every sitting room, bedroom, even Jim's butler's pantry. Lynn's imagination of cooking showed with a honey yogart fruit cup and a wonderful egg/cheese/bread dish. Fresh squeezed...

Part of the charm of a good bed and breakfast is the eclectic people that own them, but in this case those people really only took away from it's charm. The historic King George inn was a wonderful home, it was well decorated and the beds and couches were comfortable. However, the service, specifically the gentleman that owned the house,...

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. Unfortunately, the Innkeeper was a little grouchy having to wait up till almost midnight to insure our guests were able to access the House and their rooms; it seems no one remembered to take a key. With all the activity of hair dressers, make up artists, photographers, etc, the remotes...

We had a nice evening at the King George Inn. Hosts Lynn and Jim were most helpful and the inn itself is beautiful. They had a suggestion for a nearby restaurant but we chose one we had to drive to. (Local Roots) It was worth it. Next morning Lynn served us a great breakfast. Lynn is an artist and many...

This B&B turned out to be a marvelous surprise. We usually book a room in an elegant hotel in Roanoke for long weekends to visit family, but this visit our preferred hotel was sold out. We decided to check out some B&Bs, and after reading reviews we chose the King George Inn - a large, elegant, stately home built in...

We decided to spend 2 nights in Roanoke and chose the King George Inn based on their website (beautiful accomodations for great price). Our jaws dropped when we actually toured the...

This bed and breakfast is one of the largest ones that my husband and I have ever stayed in. The owners have tried to keep the decor true to the Era of the house while providing modern amenities. It is beautifully furnished, quiet and close to the city. The hosts are gracious and helpful yet still allow you to have...

We could have stayed at a lovely hotel but this turned out to be a better choice, perfectly furnished, wonderful food, great location, we really loved it! You can see the star of Roanoke from the sitting area and can walk to the wild flour restaurant through the neighbor hood of older large homes.

Thank you for your gracious review. Yes, you can wish upon a star from our spacious front porch and stroll through our historic neighborhood. As Spring approaches, the dogwood, ornamental pear and amazing iris collection within the neighborhood make this a magical place to visit....and to live. Lynn and Jim Innkeepers
