With the name Wyndham attached, you’d think there’d be a better standard. It’s definitely not worth your money. Not clean, except for sheets (which I still found a hair) and toilet. As I write this, I’m still in bed waiting for my mom to wake up so we can check out. Definitely dingy, pool closed, overflowing garbages outside, half the building unoccupied, several police were here upon checking in, which we kinda thought was a good thing at first… We had just driven over 9 hours and needed to rest our head. We had a room and thought we could deal with the smoke smell but it was so bad we decided to ask for a second room which was a slight improvement on smell, but omg we should have just disputed the charge on the credit card when we were refused a refund. We also failed to read reviews so my hope is you get to read this before considering checking in. I’ve also read all the responses from management on here…they must be delusional because they don’t have any standards set for their business. This place should just be closed down. Go a couple miles further towards the airport. The best part was the Mexican restaurant next door and the view from the parking lot of the airport, and I was able to sleep 6 hours. The ONLY reason this gets one star is because I had to and because the guy at the desk switched our room after telling us he didn’t have any other nonsmoking rooms available.

I booked this room for 3 nights. Only stayed 2 of those nights. My son was ask to leave on the 3rd night of stay. Manager informed him he had to leave at 11am on 3rd night of stay. My son ask for clean towels and sheets and manager got ugly and told him to leave hotel. My son called the police. He left the hotel, but called to let me know that this hotel was nasty and had hookers goin in and out of rooms all night and day, plus other bad stuff. Walls in rooms were written on. The hotel was supposed to have their pool open but didn't. I called before booking this hotel to ask was there pool open and the lady I talked to lied to me and said yes. Please consider goin any where but this hotel, unless you looking for a fix or a hooker..

We want each and every guest to feel they received value for the price paid. I am also displeased to hear that anyone was treated in a rude or unprofessional manner at this property. I do thank you for bringing this matter to our attention and I assure you that this is not the standard that we hold our staff too. We will be correcting this issue for improved convenience in future visits. I hope you will accept our sincerest apologies and we hope to see you again in the future- we promised a better stay next time.

Expected more out of Wyndham. Had to wait 20 min to check in because the desk clerk was not behind the desk or in the building. Trash everywhere. Bedspreads dirty. Floor buckled. Building gross. Never again!!!

The room we stayed in was deplorable. It was labeled non-smoking but it was obvious by the odor and cigarette burn marks on the sink that was not. The smoke detector was just lying on top of a dresser. The chair and lamp were badly stained, the toilet had mold on the wall, there was a large hole in the wall by the door, the floor was sticky everywhere and the refrigerator did not work. It was disgusting. So much so that we slept in our clothes and checked out by 6:30 am. The room was minimally cleaned and it is impossible to believe that there was any consideration given for COVID sanitization. The owner never responded to my phone call or emails. It is probably in violation of some local health codes as well. Hard to believe Wyndham has its name associated with this place. What a nightmare.

When I checked in I asked for a first floor room. They did not have any available however another guest complained that his first floor room was wide open. They switched his room to another first floor room but still could not find a first floor room for me. the second floor room they gave me had garbage and blood on the back of the main door and food adhere to the plastered walls fuzz and mold growing on the air conditioner vent it was not clean. The second room they offered me had what appear to be vomit or food coating the wall next to one of the beds as well as stains on the bed linens. Neither room was clean enough to stay in and they would not provide cleaning materials for me to do the cleaning myself. I left and still have not been issued a refund despite attempts by myself Expedia and Travelodge. The manager apparently has always just left when I call and is not available when anyone else calls. I'm going to have to contact the better business bureau to get a refund for this trip. Don't waste your money or your time or your health this place should not be allowed to be open.

This is for Travelodge on Thirlane in Roanoke, VA. My wife and I were traveling back from Maine to SC on our 40th anniversary trip. We had stayed at some delightful and interesting places as we moseyed home, enjoying the fall colors along the Appalachians. We had hoped to stay at the Super 8 in Daleville, as my experiences there have been consistently good. However, when we called Wyndham, they were already full, so we were offered this one for about $100. I was a little put off when we checked in. The place had that "dive" feel about it. Just walking to the front desk, we passed the ice machine which was beeping and inoperative. Towels were hanging on rails, with a couple of people hanging outside their rooms smoking, some trash on the ground, etc. However, we were tired and checked in anyway. When we got to the room, it was apparent that this was beyond "dive". It was horrible. Here are a few of the things we noted and photographed. - The sign out front promised rooms for $59. (When we mentioned this, the manager turned the sign off.) - The room looked like a prison cell. Bare, brown linoleum floor, nothing on the walls, furniture that looked like it was collected from what charities rejected, etc. - The bedspread had seriously bad stains and should have been burned to improve public safety. - The main light in the bathroom was missing. Not burned out - just gone. - There had been a hole cut in the wall and the patch had fallen off. - There were serious odor problems. - It was generally unclean. I'm not talking "white glove" inspection, but, "I hope I can avoid brushing against anything by accident" dirty. There was no way I was going to ask my bride to stay in this rat hole. I say this was tied for worst with a place we stayed at about 35 years ago, but when I think about it, that other place, despite the purple flocked wallpaper and orange bedspread was at least relatively clean. When we went to the front desk, the girl there said, "I can't undo the reservation since you checked in. The manager is the only one, and he left five minutes ago." When we asked her to call him, she stated that she had no way to reach him until he came back in the morning. (When we were checking in, my wife had heard him say to one of the cleaning staff to 'call him' as he appeared to be leaving. As we were leaving, I asked again, that even in an emergency, she had no way to reach the manager, and she confirmed what she said earlier about having no possible way to reach her manager under any circumstances.) We took lots of pictures (some of which look remarkably similar to those posted by other reviewers - we're not the only ones), and sent them to Wyndham. We've already confirmed we can reverse the charges if Wyndham decides to dispute this. However, they should be deeply ashamed of any association with this property. It needs to be rebuilt from scratch. The fact that they have turned off and/or deleted any reviews on their site seems to indicate that, boilerplate replies to other posts here notwithstanding, they are well aware of how bad this place really is.

The worst dump we've ever seen!! We would have left immediately but had just driven 12 hours, were exhausted and had paid in advance. Absolutely filthy except the sheets and shower. Bedspread had lots of stains, broken furniture, dirty microwave, stains on drapes and who knows what on the walls!!😬☹😳 we slept, showered and left at 5am. Horrible experience.

I stayed at this hotel for one night after driving for Uber all day, really tired. I went in the room and had been drinking water all day and little did I know that they don't provide toilet paper, one of the things u don't think to bring. Luckily us women carry tissues until I could go buy a box of tissues, something I could use in my car for Uber. All they gave me was 2 washcloths, 1 towel and a bar of soap. Come on guys, u can do better than that, Wyndham hotels r better than that and I hope they see this.

Place was atrocious, filthy. Had cigarette butts on the floor, smelled like smoke. Floor hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Our socks were black from the dirt, like charcoal. Sitting chair was torn, cushion, armrest back and had blood stains. Microwave was dirty and turntable was broke. TV would not work because defaults to TV input instead of HDMI when turned off. Bed mattress was terrible and box springs broke, squeaked everytime we moved. Toilet kep overflowing. Ice machine room was flooded with water because vending machine was leaking. Had to pay $10 extra for eary check in at 1215 pm. That is BS. Bottom line this place is a dump. Will post this response on ALL social media and Tripadvisor. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

We reserved a non-smoking room through Booking.com, but the hotel put us in a room that smelled like an ashtray. The toilet was clogged & had 5 cigarettes floating in the water with an entire toilet paper roll stuffed in the hole! There were no comforters on the bed, only sheets! The walls were damaged with holes & scrape marks all over. There was no lamps & only a single dim-lighted ceiling light over the entire room. The electrical sockets had NO covers & the chairs were too nasty & torn to even sit on. I walked back to the desk to speak with 1 of the 2 very lovely receptionist we met at the hotel; one at checkin & one at checkout. The first appeared to feel bad, although admitted to being in the room hours earlier with maintenance, so she knew the unacceptable shape of the room, but put us there anyway? She called management who agreed to change our room. Now in our second room, it at least smelled better & had less damaged on the walls. With such relief from that horrible first room, we agreed to stay and failed to immediately notice the 2nd pile of crap we walked into. After we began to settle, noticed a few things... lets start here: While running some bath water... I reached up to grab the safety handle in the shower and it BROKE off as I pulled myself up, so glad I didn't crack my skull! There was used open bars of soap in the shower tray. There again, was no comforters on either bed. The headboard literally FELL OFF the wall when we layed on the bed. When I used my phones flashlight to look, the headboard was just screwed into the drywall, no wall anchors, no studs. The screw holes were wollowed out and huge! Looks like it falls off all the time & gets picked up and set into place just enough to not fall off as long as you didn't breath on it! WoW! These chairs were dirtier & had bigger tares exposing the yellow foam. At least this room had a lamp on the desk, but it did NOT work & there were THREE lamp shades on this one lamp!? Really??? The worst: Before we decided to leave the motel 2.5 hours after check-in, we took pictures of everything. When we pulled the sheets back to inspect the beds, there was RED blood spots in the bed!! We checked out. Buh-bye!
