The quiet, the dock, the water view...excellent hosts...comfortable rooms. That's part of why we hope to come back again. We've stayed in some Virginia B & B's that were stuffy, over-priced or w/ inconsiderate, noisy houseguests. Not The Inn at Tabbs Creek! Great place to get away from urban day-to-day. Bring a book but their Library is nice, too. We... More

From one year to this, the experience at the Inn has only gotten better! This year we were in the Captain's Room, which boasts of a great view of the water. I really liked this room (I really liked our room last year too!), and loved that everything was so comfortable. The bed was fantastic for sleeping, and the decor... More

There is a fine line between being overbearing to your customers and being neglectful of your customers, the keepers of The Inn at Tabbs Creek understand and respect this. The owners, Greg and Lori were very friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived, we received a tour of the area and were told to make ourselves at home. They... More

I spent two nights at the Inn at Tabbs Creek while in Mathews on business. What a gem! The innkeepers were away during my stay, but Lori's parent's- Pat & Clem, and her brother, David, were excellent hosts. From the moment I made the turn off the main road and saw the humorous sign to assure me that I was... More

We had a perfect weekend getaway at the Inn at Tabbs Creek. The innkeepers were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We called to let them know we couldn't make it before midnight (we had gotten lost and had to re-arrange some other stops), and they were happy to leave the light on outside and the door open for... My husband & I spent only 1 night with Lori & Greg in their cozy B & B, but we felt at home instantly. They are a lovely and generous couple who obviously work very hard to put their guests' comfort first. We so enjoyed talking with them about their acquisition of the B & B and the area in... More

We just spent 3 lovely nights at the Inn and found that everything we hoped for in that setting was a reality! The owners, Lori and Greg, are amazing people--energetic, intelligent, generous, talented and genuinely engaged in what they are doing. Just wait until you have their delicious breakfasts! They are great fun to be with around the breakfast table,... More

My husband and I just returned from a 3 night stay at the inn, and we loved it. It is right on the water. They provide fishing rods and tackle, so we fished off the pier. I caught 4 fish! The only thing you can hear at this inn is the silence of nature. Sunsets are absolutely stunning. We stayed... More

The family who runs the Inn have truly thought of every possible thing they can do to make your stay as comfortable as possible. It's beautiful, peaceful, and so friendly. We will be back. We cannot recommend it highly enough.

Spent four wonderful days at the Inn at Tabbs Creek in August 2013. Each day started with locally roasted gourmet coffee and a fabulous breakfast all enjoyed in a tranquil setting with views of the water. I had a great time fishing out of a kayak and the Red Drum were plentiful in the East River and quite exciting to... More
