The Ashby Inn was just what we wanted: an easy drive from D.C. but a world away, surrounded by pretty Virginia farmland and vineyards. We loved the sight of black cows on snow-covered hills. The historic main inn is charming and tastefully decorated, as is the "Schoolhouse" annex a few steps away, where we stayed. The restaurant exceeded our expectations:...

Be sure to arrive early enough so that you can enjoy the surrounding area in the daylight. This B&B is a historical site, set in a very quaint town. The drive from DC was gorgeous and not long. The rooms are small but very comfortable. Not sure which room we were in as we were graciously "upgraded". The room was...

I love to get away and drive from the city into the country, and when I do, the Ashby Inn is my favorite place to end up to relax and find restoration. The property sits on a quiet street in a quiet town. On this visit the only sounds we could hear were from our balcony on an unusually warm...

We could not be more pleased to hear the kind words you have shared regarding your weekend stay with us. We have recently added Eggs Benedict to our Breakfast Menu. We hope to see you again very soon!

Quaint village of Paris, nestled in a valley between rolling mountains. Our room greeted us with Port wine and home made chocolate chip cookies. Breakfast was served with petite warm pastries and honey butter. A squeaky floor and a door that didn't quite seal well were the only drawbacks of our room!

If you would like to enjoy a beautiful ride, a lovely Spring visit to Paris, leave Washington on rte 66, go north on rte 17 through the beautiful rolling farm country, and arrive in downtown Paris where 17 intersects rte 50. The inn is at the heart of the small community that is Paris. It has a B&B (which we...

We spent two days here for our corporate retreat for out 14-person group. I simply couldn't have imagined a more amazing place to be for our meeting and the staff made every moment perfect. Additionally, the meals were just outstanding. Each day, the lead gentleman would pass us each a menu to place our name and our preferences for meals,...

I was given a gift certificate to the Inn by my employer. The Inn is nestled at the foot of the mountains, and the moment you arrive you feel like you are at home. We stayed in the Fireplace Room. It was very romantic and genuinely top notch. We had time to spend before our 6pm dinner reservation at the...

Fantastic experience at the Ashby Inn. Went to spend a quick one night getaway for Veteran's Day. Room was fantastic, bed was very comfortable and the sheets luxurious. On the dresser were complementary chocolates and port wine to finish the evening. Breakfast the next morning was delightful. Allan is super; accommodating and friendly.

The only downside to staying at the Inn was that we would have liked to stay longer. We drove to the Inn on a beautiful fall day. The views of the countryside leading up to the Inn and the rolling hills around the Inn were spectacular because the trees were at their peak. We were greeted by a friendly staff...
