My wife and I stayed one night in The Fan Room. It has it’s own small deck that looks out onto the peaceful Virginia countryside. Even though you are fairly close to Route 50, you do not hear the traffic noise. The windows and the small deck are on the backside of the inn, facing away from the road and...

We went to the Ashby Inn for our anniversary. Everything about the experience was excellent. The wait staff were attentive but not hovering. When asked they made thoughtful suggestions about the food and the wine. All the food, from the appetizers through dessert, were very good or excellent. Usually there is at least some small thing to point out as...

We just went to the Ashby Inn with 2 other couples. We have stayed there before and were really looking forward to our visit and especially dinner at the Inn. We were very disappointed. We each had a 3 course meal - app, entre and dessert - with one glass of wine each. Our bills, with tax and tip were...

Drove out from D.C. to this quaint, lovely Inn for Sunday brunch. The food was wonderful. We had the prix fix meal - $35 apiece with three courses. Glad to be there with 4 of us so we could sample and share. All appetizers were great, but the potato-leek soup and tuna nicoise were my favorite. My husband ordered the...

Very nice country inn, with caring staff, clean and quiet. The main entrance has a charming common room with fireplace, excellent restaurant on site (breakfast is great!) and our room was spacious and well-appointed.

1829 Federal era mansion converted into an Inn. Rooms are quite comfortable and decorated in the 19th century style. Only 10 rooms and it was full when we visited. Nice parlor room with fire place. Perfect location or just plain relaxing with a book and enjoying the mountain view, or bird watching and hiking. Great restaurant attached.

Balm to the soul. A crisp autumn day in the foothills of the mountains at a gracious Inn. Delicious food. Outstanding service. Extraordinary attention to customer satisfaction! Delightful setting. We will definitely return to stay at the Inn and explore the area.

The Ashby is a quaint and tasteful inn in a beautiful location. Our room was comfortable and accommodating. Bath robes and port sampler were nice touches. Excellent breakfast included with room. Two nits -- small bathroom and lugging suitcases up/down a narrow staircase to/from 2nd floor room.

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary. The staff were friendly when we interacted with them. We had the five course tasting menu with wine paring and it was ok. The food was fine but nothing "special" and the wine did not pair all that well. However, the sommelier was very friendly and talkative we just didn't think...
