Historic building, located dead-centre of the town. Rooms have been updated and are neat , clean and spacious. Friendly and helpful reception staff. The balcony rooms are great, and they have doors that open onto a common verandah.

A very enjoyable meal and evening. Relaxed, but very pleasant and professional staff. The restaurant itself had a a comfortable ambience, fitting the area and the culture of its time. The meal was as good as we have experienced either in Auckland and/ or overseas. I had the fish special and initially was concerned that the embelishments may dominate the...

We were really surprised when stepping into the hotel. It is a historic building but doesn't mean that it is old, instead, it is very well maintained and cozy. We love the decor of the hotel and our room (stayed at the Pharazyn in the main building). The lounge is lovely with books and chess table. The hosts are friendly...

A trip back in time is what is involved in this quaint hotel.Superbly situated on the main town square, the hotel is very much Victorian in style, right down to the wooden floorboards that creak with every footstep. We stayed in a garden room, and it was well appointed with all the modern day toys !! The hotel has what looks like a...

We stayed in one of the garden rooms. This was well decorated and had lots of room and a lovely shower room. We did not realise when booking that the "restaurant" (more bar) was not run by the hotel. We did not eat there as it was not inviting. Also meant having to go out for breakfast. As most of...

Everything you could want from a treat on the beds for staying there irons, hairdryer,...

Well appointed Garden Suite room in a good central location. Reception staff most unhelpful, provided no useful information about amenities, food, ect. Beware - although this is a hotel it does not provide lunch or dinner options, and evening meals in Martinborough are hard to find! In room information was poor and out of date. Our Garden Suite was roomy,...

This hotel has been around since 1882 and has retained the original feel. The Heritage rooms are comfortable and align to the era well. Management could look at lifting quality a little for the room we were in (little dated and worn) and the kitchen equipment hum during the night is slightly annoying compensated by comfy bed. The garden suites...

We went for dinner on a night when they had paella on the menu which was very tasty and we even had seconds! The Host was very friendly as were all the staff. It's a beautiful old building and we'll definitely be going back.

We had a most enjoyable visit to the Martinborough Hotel. The ladies in the office were amazingly helpful finding us great restaurants to visit. Our garden room was roomy and comfortable but the really fabulous thing about our visit was the help we received from the staff
