Stayed here with our daughter and son in law for 3 nights. Rooms were very clean and bed very comfortable. Barbara is a fabulous host who welcomes you into her home and makes you feel very comfortable. There was always a roaring fire and it was very cosy in the communal lounge. Would definitely recommend this B&B to other travellers.

Arrived to check in only to find the owner away and other guests had taken over property. They told us the owner had cancelled our booking. We were not aware of this and could not contact the owner. Very angry and annoyed as this was a very special trip planned with overseas guests and had been booked and planned for...

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful B&B in Martinborough. Barbara is the most wonderful host going out of her way to make her guests comfortable. The little extras make a difference like the beautiful bed linen and bath sheets as well as the bathroom toiletries. The rooms are cosy, clean and warm and the lounge has...

We stopped over for a night here on way to Napier. The room had the basics, was clean and tidy with heating, very nice towels and great water pressure for the shower. The bathroom design is too small, but had what you needed. Tea , coffee, cold drinks and wine together with chips, biscuits, cheese snacks are all provided in...

The only thing that prevents me from awarding an 'excellent' is that our room was much smaller than we had been used to, particularly the bathroom, but, with typical generosity, Barbara allowed us to park our baggage in the unused room next door.In every other repect this was a heavenly stay largely due to Barbara's kindness and generosity. The breakfast...

We arrived and met by a very cheerful landlady who showed us to our room. Not huge but with a comfy bed with beautiful bed linen. The visitors lounge had a log burner and large sofa. She showed us where the red wine was and the fridge full of white wine, cheeses and fruit juices. There was fruit and crackers...

We stayed here whilst in the area for a wedding last April and couldn't have asked for more. David and Lorraine were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful, even attempting to tackle the creases in my suit after 2 weeks at the bottom of my case! ...Lorraine is evidently a magician with an iron and I can't thank her enough! We liked everything. Such a charming place to stop over. The room was great, lovely bedding and towels. The gardens were a delight and lovely to sit out in either in the afternoon or evening. The owner Barbara was charming and a great host,so much was provided, most of it above and beyond what you would normally expect. Breakfast was...
