Cousins (all adults) from Boston to Alabama gathered here for a long overdue reunion and innkeepers Jack and Pat soon felt like family as well - albeit family members who can turn out far better breakfasts than any of us cousins. Each room has a story, and the innkeepers are happy to share the stories as well as encourage guests...

We all stayed at Mayhurst because so close to where our Grandmother held reunions. Being in the Inn was like staying in a home, except better service! Pat and Jack could not have been more gracious. The rooms and ammenties exceeded our expectations. To top it all off we found out one of our relatives has owned the house when...

We had a wonderful family reunion at the Mayhurst Inn. The Inn is spacious, beautifully furnished, and very comfortable. Most importantly, the Innkeepers were wonderful hosts - always there when wanted, never intrusive. They encouraged us to use their veranda for family dinners, providing service way above the expected breakfasts (which were delicious). Perfect, perfect place.

Just attended a small family reunion at this inn. With the exception of one room, we had the entire inn booked. The breakfasts were wonderful, and the rooms were beautiful. Our hosts were incredibly entertaining and very accommodating. We simply had the best weekend in this magical place.

Our hosts, Pat and Jack, could not have been more friendly, helpful and just nice to be with. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very, very comfortable. Breakfast - well that was one of the highlights - delicious and so nicely served in their lovely dining room. The location is close to town but "off in the woods" enough for...

We spent two nights at the Mayhurst and enjoyed it thoroughly. The house is meticulously restored mostly with period furniture. Proprietors Jack and Pat are gracious and hospitable; wine and cheese are served every afternoon in the library at 5:30, and Pat and Jack join the guests for informal conversation. Breakfasts are served by the proprietors in an elegant style,...

Stayed in the school house in November of 2015. It is separated from the main house by approx. 200 ft. Very nice remodel that has a kitchenette and bath that was added. Also includes queen size bed, fire place, satellite t.v. . The owners of the Inn were excellent in many aspects, from greeting us at the door, making reservations...

We spent a 3 day weekend at this wonderful B & B on the outskirts of Orange. In our group of 13, one with wheelchair, and we were all treated like royalty. They assisted with the baggage, in and out. They served wine and cheese prior to evening activities. Breakfast was delicious and provided memories of a mother feeding a...

We spent the night of March 19 at the Mayhurst Inn in Orange and just wish that we had booked a longer stay. The day was a cold, wet one with snow showers late in the afternoon. After being outside all day for a tour of the nearby Cedar Mountain battlefield the Mayhurst was a very welcome respite. The house...

What an incredible experience we had at the Mayhurst! Jack and Pat were incredible! The food was delicious and their attention to detail was wonderful. We opted for an "elopement package" and were married on the front steps of the Mayhurst. It was a wonderful, wonderful experience, from the flowers, and cake, to wine and dinner and the ceremony, all...
