I was lucky enough to get this hotel on sale....and mid week. Fabulous staff on arrival and the evening; amazing hall - log fires and ambience just incredible. Thought I'd died and gone to heaven. Room a mix between old and new....could have been better, but as I got a good deal it was worth it. Disappointed my last night...

From the moment we arrived at Peppers Manor House we felt relaxed, and greeted very warmly by the reception staff. The High Tea was delicious and served by very friendly staff. We were upgraded to a lovely garden room. Breakfast was very enjoyable, we hope to return soon.

We stayed at the charming hotel for the wedding of dear friends. The estate provided a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony and the reception was well catered for. The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent!!!

We had a room way at the top of the grounds.. it was amazing for me, an avid photographer.. outside our room was a huge tree in autumn colours, and in the morning birds... We had dinner in the restaurant which was first class, staff and food both.. breakfast the first morning was cooked to order and the chef made...

From the moment we walked in the door, we were made to feel welcome, and I knew that our conference would be a big success. Our stay was absolutely wonderful. All the attendees at the meeting had nice things to say about their room, view, arrangements and the staff. We asked for a number of variations from our original contract,...

Very well run establishment with great staff and excellent food. Rooms were great and location is ideal for that quiet getaway. Restaurant had a wide selection and food quality and presentation was first class.

Such a beautiful place, with beautiful grounds. Being Autumn the colours were just gorgeous. It was a good base for our couple of day trips. A couple of noisy children and a conference that came in on our last afternoon were the only negatives. Would be good to go back to see the grounds in Spring.

Great location and comfortable bed, but otherwise a great disappointment. Are a light meal that came out of the 'fine dining' restaurant that was very poor, buffet breakfast not much better. While a pretty location and a good base to explore the Southern Highlands the hotel lacked warmth and any kind of buzz. Sadly not somewhere we would stay again.

Loved the open fire places. Autumn is a beautiful time to stay with all the colours of the trees and nip in the air. Comfy bed, clean room, good breakie. We will definitely be back. Would like to play golf next time!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Peppers Manor House is set on a beautiful Southern Highlands estate and provides an experience of life and leisure at one of Australia's grand country houses. Built in 1926, the house was originally home to the Katers, a pioneering grazing family, and has retained its original country charm. During winter, an open fire burns continually in the Great Hall and in summer meals are served in a leafy courtyard with drinks by the pool. Wake up refreshed and enjoy the views of the estate from your elegantly appointed room or suite. The setting is tranquil, the decor charmingly luxe. Highland Queen Rooms, Highland King Rooms, Garden Wing Deluxe, Garden Wing Suites and the Elizabeth Broughton Suite (in the original master bedroom), form this historic property, with an adjacent Garden Wing taking full advantage of the country views. The retreat offers the 18-hole championship Mount Broughton Golf Course and Country Club, tennis, boules, lawn bowls or be rejuvenated with a bushwalk or a gentle stroll around the beautiful gardens and cool off with a swim. Be pampered with the retreat's range of massage therapies and beauty treatments, or relax with a good book and a glass of wine in front of the open fire. Katers Restaurant at Peppers Manor House in the Southern Highlands offers diners a truly world class experience. The magnificent country estate setting and celebration of fresh seasonal produce will ensure an experience to be remembered. Open for breakfast, lunch, traditional afternoon tea and dinner daily, there's no need to wait for a special occasion. Try the Pan fried barramundi served with Morton Bay bug cannelloni and squid ink crumbs or Angus beef fillet served with red cabbage puree, corn cake and Cabernet jus. And for something really special at this multi award winning restaurant, there's a delicious 5 course degustation menu, available with or without matched wines. The surrounding area has something for everyone, including horse riding, mountain biking, trout fishing, historic villages, antique shopping or winery tours. The Highlands area offers a delightful environment to seek antiques and rare books, arts and crafts, or that perfect escape in a National Park. ... more   less
