A great place to stay; breathtaking view, friendly and helpful management. This is a family-owned establishment. It's very refreshing to stay in a place with a personal touch. There is spotty cell phone coverage at this location, but that's not the management's fault. I'd happily give up cell phone service to witness a sunrise from this spot any day!

For our last night in the berkshires we wanted to get a hotel room to take a break from camping, and boy was this place a pleasant surprise! Not only is the location beautiful, but the rooms are clean and comfortable. The star of the show was Jim the manager, who was very kind and accommodating. We will be coming...

The hotel manager, Jim, went above and beyond to be helpful and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. We loved the large porch with its fabulous view of the Berkshires. There is even a bit of local history with a monument on the grounds.

For convenience of the location with my attending a graduation, made a reservation at the WSR - not knowing what to expect. And truth to be told ~ having grown up in the area, so kept expectations really low. To say the very least: pleasantly, extremely, quite, etc pleased with my stay, in a nut shell: Jim super nice and...

The Whitcomb Summit Retreat, AKA, "The best kept secret!". Upon our arrival we were greeted by Jim, the proprietor, a very pleasant man who could not do enough to make our stay any more enjoyable. Recently renovated, the rooms were spotless and the new beds were so comfortable I would have slept in longer were it not for the fact...

We've gone to the Whitcomb for years, but stopped several years ago do to rising prices. The Whitcomb has, by far, the best view in Massachusetts. Ask for a second floor room! New management means a new spark to the old place - recently refurbished, and a gracious host who offers a decent cold breakfast - bagels, cereals, yogurt, Keurig,...

In my view, places that deserve four stars are not always the luxury accommodations. The Whitcomb is nestled in a beautiful property at the tip of the Mohawk Trail with expansive views of the mountains. The views are even more stunning in the fall. The Whitcomb is an affordable, laid-back and quiet place which is ideal for long weekend getaways....

Stayed here for one night while enjoying the fall colors. What a wonderful experience. From check in (Thank you Margo, for helping carry the bags up to the room), recommending some restaurants, and making us feel so welcome. And owner Jim for filling us in on some background of the motel and surrounding areas, helping with the bags going back...
