We stayed Feb. 23 - Mar. 1. We arrived late but check in was quick. Our room was on the first level and although the location was nice, the room smelled heavily of mould. We spoke to Raidayna ( the lady at the front desk :)). She was very busy but still quickly resolved the problem and gave us a room closer to the Cuban a la carte. This room was on a higher level floor and better for me as I have severe allergies to mould and other seasonal things. The room was always cleaned and everything always replenished even though we were further away from the main lobby and pools. Our balcony overlooked a lagoon and there was a little farm of bunnies, chickens, roosters, and other animals across the path on the front of our building which was kind of neat we thought because it reminded us of home as my boyfriends parents have chickens, roosters and other birds as well so the 4:30 am wake up call by the roosters didn’t bother us.
The resort itself is very nice and I liked that this was a smaller resort. The staff were all friendly. They really made us feel welcome and we enjoyed running in to them each day. The drinks at this resort were the best than any other Cuban resort that I have been to. I usually just stick to beer and coffee because many Cuban resorts just have the slush stuff or sugared fruit drinks to mix drinks with but the drinks actually tasted like drinks you would order in Canada. I like the sangria, Miami Vice and blue Hawaii. Ofcourse the cappuccino was very tasty and they always drew a heart on top of the froth :). I enjoyed the food here better than any other Cuban resort that I have been to ( this was my 8th visit and all different resorts). They always had beef and chicken and lots of tasty food at the buffet. The Japanese a la carte was simply delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment. The braised beef dish at the Cuban a la carte was absolutely delicious. The pizza at the snack bar ( the night we arrived late) was delicious as well. The only complaint I have is that there wasn’t a big selection of cheese here and the cheese always seemed to disappear very quickly but that is no big deal.
The beach is very clean and beautiful. A little windy but if you like to kite surf then that’s great. It was cold a couple days we were there. Colder than I have ever experienced but we took advantage of this by going to the market. I will give you a heads up, do not bother with double decker bus for 5 CUC if going just to the mall. Each of us paid 5CUC and waited almost three hours with still no bus. We finally gave in and took a cab back which was 5 CUC per car load. Just take the cab. We also still enjoyed the rock show our last night even though it was cold and everyone was wrapped blankets or winter jackets.
I would recommend this resort.

Pullman Cayo Coco jan 24th – jan 31st 2020
We were there the last week of January 2020, this was our first time at this hotel and for sure this becomes one of our favorite places to go to.
We want to thank Jean-Luc the Director and his team, Eduardo, Roberto, Felipe and I forget the other management names.
Upon our arrival at the collection, we were greeted by a wonderful man that also spoke French, he had our room ready in no time, Robert took our luggage to the room, we had snacks and a few drinks served by the great Abel before our room was ready. Kudos to Annabella and other staff at the collection lobby that I forget the names, what a great team.
The collection snack bar and the Gourmet have great staff, Abel, Mairelys, Claudia, Edouardo and more that I don’t have names but we always had great service.
Time to hit the beach and who greets us upon our arrival ….Alienky !! what a great guy, always there to clean your chair and make sure you have the best spot available on the beach, I had never seen someone climb a palm tree so fast to get Coconuts, what an athlete, in French we say “la crème de la crème” and funny enough he said that all week !
Beach bar, we met Buddy who served us great drinks all week long, what a nice man, he instantly became my Buddy, we shared our life stories, Carole and I had a great time chatting with him.
Restaurants : our favorite was the Gourmet , we also liked the Japanese, Cuban, French and Italian, I don`t know why people complain about the food, it was AWESOME everywhere and the staff are amazing and so friendly.
Lobby bar : we really loved to go there after dinner to meet people, Pedro would make us shots and overall a great service there too, so many there to serve you drinks,.
Collection bar : Jose the great Jose, every night before dinner he would make a nice Spritz for my Mamasita Carolita.
Now back to reality in the snow and cold, we sure miss this place but planning to go back for sure next year.
Suggestion : have stretch/yoga lessons on the Collection side of the beach.
Negatives : none

Absolutely loved my new years trip to pullman Cayo Coco 2019-2020. My first trip was back in may 2019 to Pullman and met some amazing workers who I have kept in contact with and I now consider my Cuban family. They make the stay at the resort fun and entertaining. The buffet always has a large variety of food and amazing workers, Roberto who is there for breakfast lunch and supper is an amazing man who takes great pride in making sure everything is running smoothly and guest feel welcome. I had the pleasure of meeting his beautiful wife this trip. One of my favorite chefs in the buffet is Omar ❤ and his beautiful wife Janet who greets us at the reservation desk. I love joining the entertainers Lachi, Choco, the twins, Betty (my favorite), junior, Adrian, double A, Mari, Yuris, and Geiny who make the games, dance lessons, zumba, disco and beach parties so much fun with the help of the amazing DJ Blade. 💕 Miry who is the bartender by the pool is one of the friendliest bartender I have ever had the pleasure to meet and makes one of the best drinks that she calls the miry special 🍹 I find the maids do an amazing job cleaning the rooms on a daily basis and the shows at night put on by the dancers are always very enjoyable. I already miss my Cuban family and will be back again. ❣ love you all xo

We have travelled to Cayo Coco for many years, this was our first stay at the Pullman hotel and due to the pandemic we did thorough research, reading reviews and watching videos as well as taking precautions of pretesting before we booked.
Firstly, I want to give positive feedback on the staff! The team that was working our week were midway through their 17 day shift! They were putting in extended hours and managed to provide excellent service. Daylin, Claudia and Mlisa were absolutely amazing. They ensured all guests were treated like VIPs, maintaining stock and getting to know each customers regular orders! The checkin staff, Daydenys, Ashley and customer service Isairi were absolutely wonderful and attentive! Entertainment staff Adrian, the twins and the terrible singer (lol) were excellent at engaging staff and creating a great atmosphere.
Now on to the facilities, management and concerns:
We were aware that due to the low numbers of travelers the Collection area of the resort was being used. The manager (Jean-Luc) made it seem that an upgrade was given on his direction and was a benefit to the clients. Although this side of the resort is usually an upgrade at an increased cost it was actually a benefit to the hotel to minimize areas being used to make amenities easier to provide and due to limited staff on shift.
The use of the Collection area meant only one restaurant was open for breakfast and dinner and the snack bar served lunch. The meals were the same all week with slight variations and change in method of cooking.
During our transfer from the airport to our hotel we were advised that we should wear our masks until we received our Covid tests. At the resort there were lots of signage advising to sanitize your hands but the sanitizing stations were few and not always appropriately placed. There were no signs advising to wear a mask!
The next day we were relieved to learn our flight had all tested negative. That evening another flight arrived those travelers did not comply with wearing a mask and did not maintain a social distance. Management and security should have been enforcing this by advising travelers that they would not be served.
A flight of Russians arrived and 11 of them from the first flight tested positive with 3 cases being at the hotel. They were allowed to wander the resort with no masks and interacting with various staff while they awaited their results. We were advised that the Russians would not be allowed on the. Collection side but this was not the case.
The manager of the hotel repeatedly denied there were positive cases even when directly asked
Tables are being sanitized but are repeatedly cleaned with the same cloth. We did not witness any chairs or other surfaces being cleaned. Hotel rooms had no enhanced sanitizing; basic cleaning with beds made, towels changed and floors washed in main areas.

Dear singqueen14, Thank you for your message following your last stay and I tried to say,we can not make any difference between customer about his nationality and from my side I do the maximum so that each customer is satisfied. I confirm that there is no positive case of the hotels because they are isolated outside than we have no problem so far with our customers and staff for infection on site.We have to adapt our self to the situation like any other country. I confirm that from now the hotel is fully open with all the restaurants and bars respecting the established protocol, you can enjoy it or not this choice is yours. The rooms will start to be cleaned from the moment we have the PCR result of each arrival and we recommend our clients to wear the mask until their get the results . Best regards Jean-luc

We stayed at Pullman over new year’s. We come to Cuba every January for an after Christmas family get away. We had heard good things about Pullman’s Hotel the previous January when we stayed at the 3.5 star Jardines Del Ray just down the road in Cayo Coco.
The rooms were outdated and worn out. The beds were old and hard. At night the room had ants, cockroaches and little tiny bugs on surfaces and walls. Our bathrooms door wouldn’t close bacause it was warped and the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor.
The food was awful. We tried 2 reserved restaurants and the Buffett and found the food was served cold, undercooked, and not at all enjoyable. We struggled to get thru the week eating their food strictly based on quality
Service was poor. Staff did not wish to accommodate. The restaurant staff stood around never clearing tables leaving line ups outside the buffet waiting for tables. Never any coffee cups or glasses on tables. Never a smile, a complete disinterest in serving you.
If your looking for peace and quiet then the beach is perfect. The pool has and entertainment team that start at 11:30 for an hour and then back at 3:30. The entertainment team is very loud and annoying g. They play music very loud and yell into the microphone for the entire time they’re “entertaining”.
We did not enjoy our stay at Pullmans Hotel and recommend saving a few dollars at Jardines del Ray down the road, a much better value, slightly better food and more enjoyable.

We visit the Pullman Cayo Coco on November 1, 2020. I would like to start off with complementing and giving an exceptional thank you, job well done to the entertainment team Andre , Ahmed, Keyler and kayner the twins, for the Entertainment games and communicating with all the visitors, your hospitality was beyond exceptional you made all of us feel very welcome. At the snack bar we would like to give a big thank you to Melissa and Claudia, and to who’s nickname is Simon, you are all amazing and your service to us made us feel happy and made our day complete.
Now, I sadly need to address the poor service first with
Housekeeping: no sanitizing what so ever, they just make the beds give you towels and wash floor.
Reception in the collection side of the Pullman the first 2 days we were there the snack bar was open 24 hours. We had 2 days of entertainment . Because of Covid the Canadians were kept on the collection side of the Pullman and the other guests were kept at the side of the main lobby of the hotel. As soon as the Russians arrived. We the Canadians were becoming limited to services there was no longer a 24 hour snack bar no more nightly entertainment. As the Russians were not allowed to go over to where the Canadians were but if we wanted to take part in any entertainment then we would have to go where they were which I found that very unfair. No protocol was followed when the Russians arrived they were to wear their masks until the results come back but that didn’t happen and very few tested positive for Covid very poorly organized. The entertainment team had to go back-and-forth what made it unsettling was those who tested positive for Covid . It felt very uncomfortable. The manager of the resort Mr. Jean luc showed favouritism but not to the Canadians. If anyone is going to book any excursions on the catamaran please bring with you your own first aid kit because there is not one on board if you get hurt you will be attended to with paper towels. If anyone is going to book the dinner and show the food is not that great bathrooms are not working and is not worth the money that you spent for that at all it is a big rip off. On our last day there we had no service no one was picking up phone at reception we took our luggage to the main lobby everyone brought their own luggage to the main lobby. When my friend approached the manager of the resort of the Pullman Mr. Jean luc to talk about the poor services his response was that we were lucky that we even got the section of the collection services to stay in. We did not ask for that upgrade The pullman separated the Canadians and kept them on the one side because we were very little and the other people were kept on the other side of the resort because there were so many but to respond in that manner that was totally unprofessional. Would I recommend the Pullman not really and that would only be because of poor managing skills. If any of you still have interest in visiting this resort bring with you anything and everything for sanitizing or you will be very disappointed. Other than that we had a great week we met amazing people and we enjoyed the amazing staff at the Pullman.

Dear Mybbysgirl, Thank you for your message and I realize that you did not necessarily appreciate your free upgrade , you went from a garden view to a suite and know that thes Collection part is not necessarily reserved in particular for Canadian customers even if today this is somewhat the case but also to all the customers who have paid for the adult section. You will also understand that we cannot open absolutely all the restaurants, bars and entertainment as before the Covid for cost reasons, so we sometimes have to make choices but you are not confined either, you have access to the buffet, lobby bar and more, you are free to enjoy it or not. Regarding clients who may be positive, I can assure you that the measures are taken in real time and these peoples will not be in the hotel under any circumstances ,they are isolated in a dedicated area outside the Pullman under vigilance of dedicated Doctors. I would end with one thing because when you receive a gift as an upgrade in your case and even if you haven't asked for it, the minimum is to thank the person who gave it to you because you took advantage of it, you could have refuse it. I think in these difficult times for a lot of people we should try to stay humble and enjoy the beautiful things in life and for my part I would always do my best for my clients. If you decide to visit us again I remain at your disposal and will do what is necessary for your satisfaction. Regards Jean-luc

We just got back from a fabulous vacation at Pullman Resort Cayo Coco. I would highly recommend this resort. There are alot of choices for food. There is a large buffet for breakfast lunch and dinner. A buffet by the pool for breakfast and lunch. We enjoyed the pool buffet for lunch. It was less crowded than the main buffet and lines to cook pasta, and grill fish, shrimps, shell fish, and grilled steak were shorter. There are lots of different types of vegetables, rice, rice and potatoes. Fries, pizza hot dogs and hamburgers available 24/7. You can choose 3 alacart restaurants. We had one extra because we arrived on New Years eve and all guests needed to book somewhere. We tried French on New Years eve. Good food romantic atmosphere. The New Years eve party was lots of fun. The dance floor was raining champagne and then foam at midnight. We had a great time. The other restaurants we tried were, Italian, Seafood and Japanese. All were pretty good. The staff were all very friendly. The entertainment team amazing performers. Miria at the swim up bar made us a special drink which she named the Miria #22. Wilbur the bar tender at the beach bar is very talented. He could certainly juggle those bottles. I was a nervous wreck expecting one to fall any minute. He has apparently won competitions. There is a donut stand where they make fresh donuts while you wait at both entrances to the beach and a Coconut stand where they will cut a coconut, you can choose to add rum or not. When finished your drink bring the coconut back to cut it up and remove the coconut to eat. We would definitely go back. The only complaint is that it was difficult to get a chair by the pool. There were always many empty chairs with towels and no people. We would certainly go back. Also good for families with children.

Overall it was not bad. Great beach, rooms were clean, only had hot water issues on one day out of 7, and likely because it was New Years Eve dinner.
On NYE they let a lot of staff have night off so Restarants are closed and all guests eat in 2 shifts at Buffet. As a result a lot of people came off beach at 4:30 to shower for 6:30 dinner. Special case as rest of days we had lots of hot water.
Food was ok, not great. I lost my appetite and had minor "issues" after 4th day. Should have stuck with just Fish which was good.
We did 2 excursions. One was Beuna Vista Social Club which was EXCELLENT. Go for the music/energy not for free drinks. We also rented an old Chevy and driver for 75 minute drive to Moron. Our driver wasnt great for driving around and seeing sights. Limited talking even though my son speaks Spanish. Moron was an eye opener. Staff at resort commute from the town and it is very poor. Safe where we walked around downtown and we ate at a small Restaurant, nice. My son got a great haircut for 1 peso. People were friendly.
Rooms were clean but a bit worse for wear. Best restaurant was Italian. French was ok. Japanese was...meh.
Staff commute 80 minutes twice a day and if you see Moron you get that they are very poor, so bring cash to convert to CUC for tips (staff appreciate it). We ran out of cash for tips and had to borrow from friends because VISA is not available, which made us uncomfortable.
You can rent antique cars for short drive to market. Nice T shirt store is on 2nd floor but accessed from 3rd floor. Why? Why not?
Shows were ok not bad not great.
So overall 3/5 because:
Food / Restaurants / No banking-credit card

Avoid staying at this hotel even if you must cancel your trip. I have been fifteen times to Cuba and have stayed in different hotels but have never been to such a miserable one. We had booked a “luxury ocean front” room but the size and furniture were like those found in cheapest motels. Torturous was sleep quality on the mattress. One very small face towel per person like those little hand towels in cheap motels. Take your wet swim towels to your room as I tried at least five times during our one week stay to change them but never available. Reception and terrace are located above swimming pool area with more than thirty steps. We were told that their only elevator was not functional since a month before our arrival. Guests rush to the terrace after dinner to line up for a drink from the only bar open. Only cheapest drinks are served, better ones simply not available. There are around one hundred constantly occupied seats available on the terrace for a hotel that has several hundred guest capacity.
Buffet restaurant is not an exception to serve poor quality foodstuff. There was a tipping vase on every counter where staff put something on guests’ plates. A heart-breaking experience if you did not tip each one and if you did, your poor-quality dinner would cost around ten dollars just in tips. Full serve restaurants are somewhat better in quality but poorer in quantity. Briefly, this hotel wants to give you as little as possible. Simply stay away.

We spent 2 weeks at this Hotel and Loved every minute of our Stay! The Beaches are spectacular and great for long walks, swimming, snorkelling, etc! The Food was great especially the a la Carte restaurants! I can’t believe people will complain about food because there is always something for everyone’s palette! We did change rooms for our second week and upgraded to ocean view which made our stay even better! Rooms were kept very clean and I felt extremely comfortable with the cleaning maintained around the property! The entire staff works so hard so that we vacationers can enjoy every aspect of our stay! The service in the Snack Bar Restaurant was wonderful, our waiters Bernardo, Royelle, and Alex work so hard ! Please wear your masks at all times around food folks and they serve you so you are not touching the utensils! The Lobby Bar had amazing staff making all kinds of speciality drinks! So here is the thing with my review folks, I have travelled all over Cuba and anyone thinking of going here should not hesitate ! The shows were among the best I’ve ever seen at All Inclusive’s , The Cuban Bands performing at this Resort were incredible! So many talented musicians in Cuba…..what can I say! Ok so the only thing I missed in preparing for my trip was the tipping issue as I learned they prefer US. Or Canadian currency! So bring cash for tipping! Overall a great experience and hope to go back next year!
