For anyone traveling to Cayo Coco, “Sitio La Guira“ is a hidden gem. Although it’s rickety entrance doesn’t do it justice, it may be part of it’s allure. The food is beyond fabulous, the grounds are manicured and the wildlife well cared for. Try the soup, the salmon, the shrimp, the pork, the rice… try anything… it’s all amazing!!! I have been here almost a dozen times and have never had anything that I didn’t absolutely love. They rent “habitaciones” that have running water and AC, for anyone who is interested in overnighting. Many thanks to Biscuits, Zuñiga, Maria and Eric, and the manager of the place who’s name I can’t recall. I don’t normally write reviews, but I feel the need to share the experience and hope others can enjoy it too. Now that things are opening up!!! I usually travel by horse and carriage from the resort; it’s a beautiful 15 minute ride. Some take a taxi or scooter.
