We booked our wedding venue here in July 2021. Since we had Julie as our wedding Co ordinator, she kept me in date of how plans of the day would go, choice of menu, how the venue would be set up etc. She was so supportive and helpful. The receptionist Claire was very approachable, felt like I knew her for years. She helped us with room bookings and cancellations for our wedding day. Staff were friendly, helpful and always attentive. Julie and her staff helped make our day that extra special with the whole day being so well organised. Which felt great to be non stressful for myself. Our guests all complimented to us on how lovely the place was and how delicious the food was. We had chicken in leek and white wine sauce, with veg. Followed by sticky toffee pudding. Was delicious. Homemade pizza's, wedges and salad was served in the evening. My husband and myself stayed in the bridal suite, which was beautiful. It was clean, the bed was comfortable. En suite with shower and bath. We had cooked breakfast, which was delicious. Cooked to everyone's satisfaction. Highly recommend booking your weddings here for a smoothly run, special day, without the stress. Thankyou Julie and the team. You made our wedding day extra special xx…
We visited this lovely venue for a family wedding over the weekend. When we arrived at the venue we were greeted by friendly and helpful staff. From the moment we checked in until we left nothing was too much for the staff at Gwesty'r Emlyn Hotel. We had 2 small children in our wedding party with SEN needs and Lauren couldn't of been more helpful if she tried. From checking in on us, letting the children explore and adjust to their new settings was just fabulous. Lauren is a real credit to this hotel and would definitely go back to stay whilst visiting family knowing that we would be made to feel welcomed and looked after. The wedding venue was just beautiful and looked magical on a real cold winters day. An amazing weekend had by all!
Went with a group of 15 ladies for lunch, had beautiful meals, well presented and such a change from normal fare. Staff were charming and professional, and the setting was lovely. Most enjoyable visit.
My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights as we wanted to return after staying here a few years ago. Bedding, towels & our room were super clean and staff were very warm and friendly! Well done all!! The bed was so uncomfortable that impacted both of our night’s sleeps. Breakfast was okish and far from as good as we had had on our last stay. On departure there were 2 members of staff at the reception desk when we dropped our key off but not one member of the team asked the usual “was everything ok on your stay” We would stay again if visiting the area. The locals in the area were very friendly
Absolutely excellent from start to finish. We have stayed here a number of times and it keeps getting better. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable and the breakfast was really good. I though we did have a welsh breakfast previously with cockles but hey it was still really good. Thanks for the stay and we will return soon.
What a really lovely hotel and an amazing unique-looking spacious room in the courtyard. It appears to have been newly re-furbished with a great walk in shower room. The staff were very friendly and the accommodation was spotlessly clean and I am fussy! Ideally sitatued for local walks near the river and castle and with a choice of great restaurants on your door step! The cooked breakfast each morning was very good, particularly the omelette! We visited some amazing places including St David's and the peninsula and the beaches at Cardigan Bay. It was always comforting to return to our room. Highly recommended!
This is a lovely hotel to stay in, the staff were great very friendly, bedroom was very comfortable, we had the full breakfast the first morning the sausage were over cooked but second morning the breakfast was spot on. Some of the carpets could do with a refresh however it was still a lovely place to stay.
Could have been so much better. I wouldn't want to waste any more of my precious time on this establishment. Any review I would give would be on the negative sideof bad. The accommodation was poor the food was inedible.
I checked the reviews before we went, and noticed there were some very negative ones as well as some ecstatic ones which worried me a bit. Having stayed there now, I am baffled by the sheer vitriol of some of those reviews. Yes, the food isn't the absolute best but it's not London and it's on a par with anything else you'll find locally. Otherwise, I can't fault the place. Our room was spacious, quiet, clean, well equipped, and attractive. The hot water and the heating were excellent, and the bed perfectly comfortable. Every one of the staff was helpful, cheerful and really rather charming. We had such a good stay we re-booked for the spring as soon as we got home!
We had our wedding here in May this year. We are not locals so we made the journey of 240 miles along with our friends and family! It was the most perfect day. The venue went above and beyond for us! 100% recommend this venue to anyone getting married. Food was amazing and our guests commented on how lovely it was. Prices are very reasonable for weddings as most venues charge silly prices. As a wedding planner my self. The venue did not disappoint. Jade our coordinator was brilliant. As were the staff on the night who walked myself and my husband to our room, made us a cup of tea and had a tidy up for us too! Everything ran so smoothly on the day. Despite other reviews this venue is outstanding. We were treated so well from arriving at the venue and despite having to move our date because of covid the team still made sure our day was perfect. If I could persuade my husband to do it all again. I’d come back! Thank you all for making our day special. Xx…
