In my 45 years I have stayed in all manor of establishments, some like the 5 star Danna in langkawi took my breath away, the solent spa in Whiteley went above and beyond for a four star hotel. Then came the mercure hotel in Manchester. A fantastic 1 star hotel. Perfect if you are on a budget and all the...

I booked a table for 6 in the Pickwick bistro restaurant as the main restaurant is closed until 7pm. On arrival we were given a table where you couldn't actually reach the table from one of the seats. The seats at either end of the table were fixed and quite simply the table did not fit the space. We all...

We visited the Norton Grange for a family wedding and had a great lovely time. The meal served for the wedding breakfast was superb and perfectly portioned. In the evening we found the bar prices to be very reasonable and all the staff were friendly and chatty. We upgraded our room and the room was neat, tidy and very comfortable....

Avon had their yearly PC dinner at the Mercure Hotel, Rochdale. The room was set out very nicely. The food was awful. Anyone thinking of having a function their, think twice. Make sure u try everything on the menu, then do a lot of praying. Most of the staff were very nice, but there was a young girl working on...

Recently held our Daughters wedding here. All had a great day, some very positive comments about the food especially the buffet. Very helpful in terms of allowing early check in so overnight stayers could get changed prior to the ceremony. Rooms were all great recent refurbishment evident throughout the hotel. Bridle suite was especially nice. Some better weather would have...

Booked for my mice and two children, 12 and 14. I took them up and had a meal with them and left them at around 10:30pm as planned. Came back in the morning and had planned a quick breakfast with them in the morning. Awful place. Rooms dirty and old. Bedding tired and ripped. Outside in the hall was a...

I absolutely loved my stay here. I was there for a month on business and I was very sad to have to leave. It feels more like home than a hotel. I hope my travels bring me back there again. Ellie is so helpful and friendly. It's so nice to see a smiling friendly face every day when you're so...
