Please do not the ignorant people on this review page who expect 5* luxury at a 2* hotel. Granted, the rooms were basic but they were clean and always looked after daily. the location is incredible boasting only a two minute walk to the beach and train station and a one minute walk to the massive shopping street of Calella....

We had only booked a room. The room was very basic but clean. Shower is a mixer tap. Toilet seat needed replacing while we were staying, but this was completed quickly & efficiently. Towels were replaced daily and beds made daily. Bathroom & floors were cleaned daily. You will need to hire a fan as no air conditioning and rooms...

This is not a Hotel of 2 stars by any stretch of the imagination and barely meets the criteria for a B&B, online photos presented by the Marisol are misleading and do not reflect the dire state of this building (the May 2016 Google Street level map picture shows the building boarded up) and an interior which reflects the fact...

Transfers take forever to arrive at hotel, took 2.5hrs with only around 3 stops before Marisol stop, air conditioned coaches. Dropped at the top of the street and you have to walk 3-4mins to the Marisol. (Not an issue really easy to find) recommend getting a taxi much quicker! Transfers home were about 1hr as was no traffic, make sure...

We chose this budget hotel purely for its low price and we had a wonderful stay, the room was basic and cleaned and a change of towels everyday but bed sheets were not changed at all in our 9 night stay=surprising? perhaps we should have asked? there is no air-con in rooms but you can hire a fan for 3...

Yes, this is a 2 star hotel, yes the pool and bar have been closed for years, but the staff, especially Kim the night porter, are brilliant. This was our first time in Calella and would happily stay in either hotel. We have met some lovely people in the hotel and the previous reviews and horror stories are obviously one...

Booked a last minute family holiday for the beginning of the summer holidays. Returned home today and had to leave a review of this hotel. Staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. Hotel although old and a little run down was comfortable and clean. Cleaners in every day changed towels, made the beds and cleaned the tiled floors. Couldn't fault our...

We arrived on the 4th July from Preston to betold that there was no running wate and we would have to go to the sister hotel, The Continental. We were placed in a very small room n the very bowels of the hotel and when we opened the patio door we found that we were at the bottom of a...
