Absolutely amazing. Such a wonderful stay. Literally could not fault it. Location, views, decor, cleanliness, staff, service, all were impeccable. I would 100% go back. We were there for 5 nights and we had a delightful time. Within walking distance of the village and marine.

Hotel's Favourite
We gave the hotel 5 stars because it was excellent from start to finish, it was spotlessly clean & the STAFF were absolutely incredible from front of house to the lovely ladies who cleaned your room & no matter what you asked for nothing was to much trouble & everything was done with a smile on their faces , the staff who looked after you around the pool area were truly excellent whether you wanted an umbrella moving or a drink or food they were always coming round & checking you were ok , another thing we thought was very nice staff came round with nice touches such as ice cold face clothes to cool you & little offerings like smoothies & little food samples, special mentioned to the front of house team as no matter who was on the desk or concierge they always had a smile on their faces & always were willing to give you time when answering your questions, the food overall was very good with excellent breakfast menu ( hot or cold ) and as I said earlier the food choice around the pool was also good , we went to both the BBQ evening & the special Majorcan evening which was delicious BUT our own observation was the hotel did not promote it to their guests enough because in talking to the team who looked after you at dinner or special evenings they said that the clientele did not come in for dinner & mostly went to the port for food at night which we totally understand as there was a large selection of restaurants down there but it was sad that with the talented chefs that the hotel has that more guests did not come in & take advantage to come in for dinner, as many reviews have said the port is no more than 15/20 mins away walking down to it or 10 mins by taxi but taxis do take time in coming especially at peak busy times we thought the hotel could offer a shuttle bus to take guests down to the port maybe 2/3 times a day & pick up a few hours later adding to the special services the hotel offers , my wife & I are in our late seventies & we wondered if the hotel & its clientele were going to be to young for us to be there but the diversity of the guests young or old we felt really very much at home of course one can always look to improve things as nothing is perfect as the pool can be crowded at times & as one reviewer said people stood in the pool talking & drinking rather then swimming which at times became frustrating but one is on holiday & time is irrelevant. Overall we can highly recommend the hotel for its cool laid back atmosphere & beautiful design to it’s beautiful appointed suites ( we stayed in the Grand Suite ) were everything was thought of & lovely bathroom accessories ( products by BULGARI ) to bottles of water every night by your bed side . Who ever owns the hotel & introduced the training regime to keep the staff as on the ball & attentive as they are have down a brilliant job so many congratulations to them & my wife & I will DEFINITELY return & have sang the hotels praises to family & friends & we tell our travel agency about our superb holiday. Stephen & Susan M .

A beautiful modern boutique hotel with stunning sea views and gorgeous decor. We stayed in a sea view suite and the bed was super comfy. Terrace was gorgeous and the bathrooms clean and modern, just how I like it! Bar service was excellent and breakfast also great. Amazing fresh OJ everyday! The pool area was gorgeous but we didn't really use it as we went out and about during the daytime, but on a sunny day it would be the perfect chill-out spot. Highly recommended hotel, would book again.

We spent 6 nights at the hotel. Fabulous place, staff first class, food and drink great, service first class. The hotel is stunning and the facilities excellent. Pool with views and only a few hundred yards from the village bars and restaurants. A 15 min walk down hill to the port and beach. Taxi back. Highly recommended hotel.

Our selection was influenced by taking a subjective look at online customer reviews in parallel with the hotels own self marketing. We assumed from our research that a 5 star vacation would be presented, being that's what we paid a premium for, however unfortunately the Hotel failed to deliver the 5 star standards they marketed on this occasion. The hotel is situated within a quaint residential area located on the hillside presenting a 5 minute downhill walk to local bars and restaurants, albeit a further 15 minute downhill walk will take you to the popular marina area. The Hotel overall is well presented, relatively modern and clean. The foh, house keeping and waiting staff are attentive and friendly. There is a modern restaurant with stunning sea views that hosts a decent breakfast every morning, albeit its not open most nights and so expectations of embracing 5 star cuisine at this venue needs re-evaluated as you can eat better and for less elsewhere which isn't what we expected/wanted! The pool and lounge area is an adequate size for a boutique hotel, albeit the layout and attempted vibe might not meet the overall client/family balance you'd want but that's subjective of course. Whilst the hotel offers a varied range of suites and rooms, I can only comment on our own individual room experience - this was a deluxe suite. In simple summary, the room was well equipped, bright and spacious however the furniture and seating was tired/damaged and our bathroom had a significant damp issue which resulted in daily deep cleans and paint overs - the fragrant smell of sun lotion was surpassed with bleach and paint daily, but we got to know the maintenance man. Incidentally, an alternative room was offered on the 6th day of a 7 day vacation which was not acceptable, and latterly followed by a deferred 1 night free stay being offered as compensation, albeit we'd have to pay a premium to fly back and stay longer - Go figure! Whilst we where disappointed, we still embraced our holiday and so without contradiction - this is a lovely Hotel. Whilst on this occasion unfortunately the experience did not deliver on what was marketed and sold as 5 star, maybe we where the exception to the rule. That being said and as much as we where accommodating and understanding with the hotels circumstances, we should not have had to invest so highly when the hotel acknowledged their failures and misgivings. A failure to simply deliver expectations is primary, or make good, especially when its acknowledged you've not met the standards you market at 5 stars. Unfortunately in-action didn't match the ambition and so hopefully there are no more exceptions to the standards you claim.

My husband and I had a very pleasant 5 night stay at Portals Hills. The room was very comfortable, located on the first floor, overlooking the pool and our balcony had full sun from morning till night. All of the staff were a pleasure to encounter, from the waiting staff at breakfast to the front of house staff. No hesitation in recommending to anyone.

The service at the hotel was truly excellent and the staff were ready friendly. The manager however was largely unseen. The rooms are very spacious and well equipped and the hotel was genera very well presented, albeit a little ‘bling’. The negatives are that there is no ‘lounge’ as such or nice area to sit outside and drink in the evening. It’s also quite a way to walk to the best restaurants at the port, and uphill all the way in the way back! You can see the sea from the hotel rooms but it is some distance away and the main view is of rooftop satellite dishes and aircon units. However, the main reason that we will not return is because of the music played all day by the pool. The music was of one monotonous type and let’s face it, we would all prefer to listen to our own on our earbuds. There were also more people drinking in the pool than swimming in it. This hotel is suited to the younger generation in my opinion.

The property is very clean, and the staff were very professionals and very helpful. The large open spaces overlooking the sea were very relaxing. The front desk representative (Mariana) along with the hose keeping manager were of great help to my wife in fixing her wedding dress in a speedy way.
