Absolutely fantastic hotel. Been coming for 10 years and has only gotten better and better. Now a 5 star-Offering a roof terrace, tennis courts and spa. Highlights being amazing staff;front desk- Jungen, dining staff-Benjamin, Arturo, The owners son-Christian for the wine suggestions and all the other amazing staff. Rooms are modern and clean- great views of the salt lakes or inner pool. Dinner and breakfast are both highlights- 4/5 course breakfast- continental selection, the cooked breakfast, fruits, cake- all amazing and a glass of cava thrown in as part of it. Dinner is again fabulous- 5 courses: had some amazing soups, mains of foie grae and scallops, mains for lovely dishes, pork and steak. Desert again: fantastic: desert of the day and the tiramisu was always a winner. The wine selection is absolutely amazing with very affordable prices. The local highlight is the Caribbean Like waters of Es Trenc! Will be back next year as always.

We visited this hotel restaurant for an anniversary meal whilst staying nearby. The kind & friendly receptionist had obviously told the restaurant staff, as our table was decorated with flowers & we were made to feel very special. Wonderful attentive service & superb, tasty food….we loved it and would welcome a chance to return (and maybe stay a night or two next time!) Excellent help from the kind lady on reception & Andrea, our waitress. Thank you for making our anniversary so memorable & perfect!

My husband and I arrived here on Sunday evening 05 June. We are having a lovely relaxing holiday in this beautiful hotel. Very few English speaking guests/staff but the staff are exceptional. On Sunday 12 June my husband sadly fell down the stairs from the roof top terrace. He missed his footing and landed in a heap knocking himself unconscious, thankfully only for a few moments. He was dazed and with the help of a kind guest and also Jurgeon, a very kind and reassuring member of staff we got him to our room. The staff called three times within the evening to inquire how he was and also how I was. Nothing too much trouble. They sent us a beautiful basket of fruit and when the Dr came, one of the lovely receptionists came to our room to translate for us. The food is delicious. We are well travelled and cannot remember such a delightful breakfast being served to us. Every member of staff who we have seen asks how my husband is feeling. We are overwhelmed by their kindness towards us. Tonight we had dinner and it was also delicious and beautifully presented. A memorable meal. We will be very happy to return and recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, classy and luxury hotel Only negative is the amount of mosquitoes. Perhaps this is due to the current heatwave ….

We visited the hotel mid July and stayed for almost 2 weeks. The service was one of the best, food at restaurant is delicious and they provided gluten free options. They were flexible as we needed early breakfast for the children. Enjoyed pre-dinner drinks by the pool side, great selection of Spanish wines, whilst listening to the pianist. They took care to ensure the safety of their guests over Covid period. It's a beautiful hotel, well located and close to the beach and the town centre. I highly recommend this hotel.

We have been coming to the same spot for 7 years. Well done for the recent status upgrade from a 4 star superior to 5 star with the additional of the roof top terrace and the soon to be built wellness centre. It’s family run hotel by a Swiss German couple and their son. Clients are generally from the Swiss- german nations. Menus are in a number of languages including English. Go for the half board as the evening meals off 5courses is amazing- almost Michelin standard- only set back is getting into you clothes after the holiday. There is also an amazing selection of wine- try the Chardonnay from Majorca from the vineyard In Manacor. Our favourite room is 205 with a massive terrace overlooking the salt fields. Breakfast post covid is mostly table service with a variety of items from fruits, meat and cheese platter also with cooked toastier of avocado, tomato and beef or scrambled eggs. There is the added selection of eggs, cooked Spanish items like Tumbet with Spanish sausages or creamed spinach and bacon. The crepe was average. Things to do near by- the beach is a 5 Mins walk away but we generally walk the 45 mins to Es Trenc- check out the other entry. Highlight of the day has to be dinner with the amazing 5 course meal- start with salad, then the most amazing selection of soups from veloute/ consomme, a entree plate of sashimi, scallops and even had rabbit. Mains portions are adjusted for the number of dishes so on the smaller side- the fish selection was amazing. Desert could do with a bit more imagination- the tiramisu is excellent and there is always a desert dish of the day. Staff is friendly including Jungen at the front desk, Miriam, Pilar,Dennis and the owners son Christian. Will be back next year as always!

We've just got home from another amazing stay at El Coto. There is something very special about this hotel - and it's not just the rooms, the food and the wines - it's the atmosphere, it's so relaxing, the staff and the Navarette family make you feel so at home, it doesn't feel like a hotel but more like you're staying in a friends lovely home where your meals are eaten in a stunning tranquil garden. The food and wine are amazing (I really look forward to both, particularly trying out new wines). Location couldn't be better - close to both the town of Colonia Sant Jordi and also the simply stunning Es Trenc beach. We'll be back (again), in fact we intend to go in September 2020.

It caters generally to German and Swiss. Been here every year for a few years now for a week in July in half board and the food for is absolutely wonderful. Certainly would fit in a Michelin mentioned list if they were reviews. Rooms 202 and 205 are our favourite- the former because it’s two rooms and it’s suite category and the later due to its very large terrace. The wine selection is amazing too. There are a few idiosyncratic like sitting on the same table every night but they have made the attempt of having the menu in three languages, English,Spanish, German. Breakfast is great too. The Es Trec beach is amazing - it looks like a carribean beach! Colonia sant Jordi is rather sleepy which is nice relaxing. Will be back!

We had our short honeymoon here for 4 days, and it was a last minute booking. We were not disappointed! This lovely boutique hotel impressed us no end, and we thought all the staff were fabulous. We arrived fairly early on a Tuesday to find that we were upgraded to a suite overlooking the salt farm. The room far exceeded our expectations, and there was a complimentary bottle of cava water and fruit which was a great touch, along with a lovely letter congratulating us. All the staff called us by our new married names (which was lovely for me), and seemed to go out of their way to make us feel welcomed. There was a good range of food at breakfast and the eggs were cooked well. We also spent an evening meal at the hotel and was extremely impressed by the food at atmosphere, we wish we had chosen half board! The cocktails were to die for, and we tried nearly every one in the 4 days. The best was the Mario Special (it's was called something different, and I can't remember now). The location of the hotel was good, it was out of the way of the main marina, there is a little supermarket practically next door and is within a short walking distance of some nice beaches. Es Trenc is worth walking to, the beaches there are bright white with clear blue shallow seas. We also hired a kayak one day from the main marina and went further fast where there are a few islands to explore. The only issue we had all holiday was with the sun beds, we felt there were not enough situated around the pool, and there was a lot of 'bed hogging' going on which was annoying. We like to spend the morning at the beach and the afternoon by the pool sipping cocktails, but this was just not possible due to towels on empty beds which was a shame. Another good tip is that there are regular buses to and from palma city, and from palma city to the airport and vice versa. We could have saved around 100 euros doing this both ways, so it's worth considering! Overall though we had a lovely time and would certainly consider returning again. Thanks again!

Dear Lucy, thank you very much for all your compliments and we are very happy, that you enjoyed your honeymoon in our hotel. The problem with the reserved sunbeds that you have mentioned is sadly a problem in all the hotels all over the world. We are a small hotel and unfortunately we don’t have enough employees to check how long a sunbed is reserved by a client. We are very sorry! Anyway we hope to welcome you again and remaining with kind regards Family Navarrete and team
