Great place for lunch if you have a head for heights. Stunning views in the sun! Great risottos, scrambled egg, prawns and asparagus, and friendly wine list. Prawn tart a bit dissapointing. Bit of a trek to get there, and if you don't like mountain roads without barriers, a bit daunting. Only 10 mins from Frigliana, so well worth the...

A quirky and beautiful hotel in the hills above Frigiliana and Nerja. The views from the rooms were stunning and it was very peaceful and relaxing. The rooms were basic but very clean and everything worked. Dinner in the restaurant was a strange experience....... My boyfriend & I ordered starters and main courses. His starter was brought out very promptly...

If your looking for somewhere to get away from it all then is the place to go. We booked cute snail for our three day stay,we had fantastic views from our very private patio. It is rustic so don,t expect perfection, but rooms where very clean, with small fridge to keep the wine cool, the only slight down side was...

We liked: - the (small) swimming pool - the (calm) location of the hotel - the service and friendliness of the personal - the good (and very hot) weather ;) - the restaurant We did not like: - very hard mattresses - no airco (it was 29 degrees during night) and small windows - rooms need a refresh urgently Overall...

A nice, cosy hotel, with 2 types of rooms. The location and adjoining restaurant are great, the staff are friendly and helpful. Due to the distance to Frigiliana and Nerjas (and the rather dark and winding road to the location, it might not be the best location for families and uncertain drivers...

If you want to get away from it all, this hotel is for you! Up a narrow winding mountain road called "the snail" will take you to this unique hotel with a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean, mountains, villages and olive groves. Fabulous full breakfast included. Very quiet, fresh air and a pool complete the wonderful experience.

I visited this place 3 years ago for dinner wanted to return and stay the night. The property has changed owners since then. Returned in June 2012. The room wasn't ready so we had a couple of complimentary beers on the terrace. The views are fantastic! You have a choice of a room or a detatched snail shell like bungalow....

We booked via "eliza was here" with car and you need it because its on the hill of the village. The village is not on walking distance but the hotelrestaurant is perfect, at night you have a beautiful view and the food is fantastic. With the car you can go to the village where they have more restaurants and within...

We enjoyed our two nights at Los Caracoles. We were welcomed and cared for by a tremendous staff. After traveling 10 days in Madrid and Granada, it was wonderful to relax in a rural setting with great views and great food, lovely temperature in May, and a short drive to charming Frigiliana. No multi- story high rises in site. The...

You cna just visit for a drink and enjoy the surroundings and fantastic views down to the coast but if you don't sample the menu that'd be a shame as its really very good and fairly priced. We opted for a taster menu. You wont be getting a pile it high meal here, there are plenty of other great restaurants...
